I’ve heard of these, but I truly didn’t think they existed. An 50+ with EL84s is a unicorn amp. I love mine with 6L6s, but having a master volume with the EL84 version is awesome.
@@sjuozhunkiEL84s. This is truly a unicorn amp. This amp would sell much higher than the 6L6 version of the amp now. Typically only the 50 Caliber non + is the only way to get the EL84. What makes this one special is that has EL84s and the convenience of the master volume that the + model provides
"you can hear all the headroom it got" too bad the mic of the cam doesnt have that much headroom hahahahah xD. Even so thats a beautifull tone man, and a nice playing
The DC-5 is more versatile because you can dial in a good sound for each channel separately with the independent tone stacks. To get the most out of both channels on the .50 cal you have to rely more on your guitar's tone controls. If I was recording I'd use a mkiv. For practice around the house or small shows any caliber series is more than capable enough. Your guitar and speaker cabinet are going to contribue much more significantly to tonal changes than .50 cal+ vs dc5.

beautiful tone! Love my 50 cal+ too.
Impressive clean tones...
Great demo!
500€ now 2021. Good clean tone. Nice crunch. Distortion a bit weird
Clean and midi gain sound are better
than drive sound
Great tone and playing👍
Thank you!!
Wow,mine has the 6l6 I believe. Your is really a mark 2. This is is a special amp!
Why would his be a Mark II when it says 50 caliber on the front?

Thanks man! Yeah, phone cameras...
your settings are VERY similar to mine.
Weich Guitar?
Only 500$? It's hard to find them!
that should be a non existing amplifier..50 plus with lead master should be only 6L6 based..not el84 like your..
Andrea Muchetti true! It’s kind of a transitional, in-between one or something!
Is the Mesa Boogie DC5 better amp then this? Anybody?
Fisher Dole I don’t have experience with the DC-5 unfortunately. Let’s see if anyone can weigh in on that!
