Anderson Amplifiers 18 watt
Noodling on an Anderson Amps 18 watt, with a Wade Hezeltine Tele, and a Bigfoot FX Deluxe Overdrive. Also, the Keeley C4 compressor, Hall of Fame reverb, and Boss DD-5 are used here.

The Fukurface 808 Overdrive is a true bypass (with some other component upgrades) version of the TS808, with the same chip as the legend. Made by Mark Monteverdi, PDX. Played through a Yamaha G50 112 combo with a little spring reverb, and some room reverb from the TC Hall of Fame 1st gen. Enjoy! Oh, sorry for the bad camera work.

I’ve heard of these, but I truly didn’t think they existed. An 50+ with EL84s is a unicorn amp. I love mine with 6L6s, but having a master volume with the EL84 version is awesome.

I believe foot switches are available for it, yes.

Wow,mine has the 6l6 I believe. Your is really a mark 2. This is is a special amp!
Why would his be a Mark II when it says 50 caliber on the front?
@@sjuozhunkiEL84s. This is truly a unicorn amp. This amp would sell much higher than the 6L6 version of the amp now. Typically only the 50 Caliber non + is the only way to get the EL84. What makes this one special is that has EL84s and the convenience of the master volume that the + model provides

i’ve used this amp for years and not a problem with it! i play clean tones mainly and that low gain vintage setting with some reverb sounds absolutely beautiful!! can’t recommend it enough

Are these loud enough to play in a band with?
Clearly! Yes!!! Before I went to a Bandit 112 Red Stripe, I used to use My Envoy 110 Red Stripe weekly at band practice with room to spare... clean or distorted.
Just got this amp yesterday... This shit is fucking amazing. Works really well with distortion/fuzz pedals too, damn.. I couldn't be happier!!!

Is the Mesa Boogie DC5 better amp then this? Anybody?
Fisher Dole I don’t have experience with the DC-5 unfortunately. Let’s see if anyone can weigh in on that!
The DC-5 is more versatile because you can dial in a good sound for each channel separately with the independent tone stacks. To get the most out of both channels on the .50 cal you have to rely more on your guitar's tone controls. If I was recording I'd use a mkiv. For practice around the house or small shows any caliber series is more than capable enough. Your guitar and speaker cabinet are going to contribue much more significantly to tonal changes than .50 cal+ vs dc5.
The 50 caliber+ is really a less expensive version of the Mk III with a smaller transformer and downgraded(though still good) speaker. In 2022 they are holding value at $1000 and for resale Mk series Boogies tend to sell easier than Mesa's alternate models !!!###

These are great amps when mic -ed they really sound great live and studio with next to no EQ ing ..these also have a EQ so you get your soumd with eq then use a foot switch to turn off eq which flattens it out and gives you a boost ..The Reverb channels goes bad in these and they are moderately loud .I have the head thru a 4 x12 cab they kick .Efx loop is nice with a Rev and or Delay ..Best amp i have owned versitle and i have a 79 Marshall ..Reliable amp but get a flight case i have done over 1000 live shows with mine no issues other than Tubes and one transformer is not well secured just 2 screws also remove the Tinfoil sheild in the amp box when u slide it in and out for service it flakes iff and will short out your amp other than that rock solud amp

I have the same amp and for some reason it doesn’t let me switch to the lead channel like when i switch it on it just kills all sound

I rescued one of these from the trash and it is AWESOME! Low impedance input is amazing for keyboards and it makes me want to learn guitar this is a KICK ASS little amp! Perfect for keyboard or guitar it is amazing and you can connect a phone into the low impedance jack and it'll be a very nice bluetooth speaker too it is just so awesome!!
I also bought an old Roland multi effects pedal intended for guitar but works amazing paired with my old as hell Casio 101 keyboard and this amp crazy sounds and it's fun!

that should be a non existing amplifier..50 plus with lead master should be only 6L6 based..not el84 like your..

I'm getting rid of my DSL40c Marshall tube amp and getting this one. I only play at low volumes and this amp has more gain for Metal tones.
How did that work out for you? Happy with the decision?
@@atlejohnnyrygg7124 I honestly love it. It sounds really good. Honestly at low volumes it beats the Marshall. Maybe not at high volumes but I just love it. Best 12" amp I've ever had. Better than peace red stripe. You set it at .5 watts and you can play as it was in normal volume. I have Seymor Duncan distortion pick ups. Great sound.
@@davesaenz3732 thanks for thevreply. The Envoy is 1x10", noy 12" or do you mean the marshall? I have a Blackstar 1x12" tube combo and am looking at a red stripe made in china envoy somebody is selling dirt cheap.

@@celestelongway7315 didn't like the Envoy. Sounded fizzy and harsh. Has a real spring reverb, but didn't sound good imo. The digital reverb in my Blackstar sounds better. I had it in my closet for a while and tried replacing the speaker, but ended up selling it. I now have a Fender Mustang III I picked up for cheap second hand and it is so much better than the Peavey in every way.

Oh man, dude that sounds absolutely stellar. Real warm professional tone. I am getting one of these soon and I can't wait. Been through alot of amps but I reckon this one will be a keeper for me.
