Hey that is very similar to my first build that I got yesterday! Ep84, lubed milky yellows, blue and grey keychron keycaps and durock plate mount stabs! I'd also recommend tape modding the ep84, I found it improved the sound
Huh, I actually like the quiet sound of tapping on metal. The slight ring is just awesome and it makes me feel like my keypresses are doing something. Is that blasphemy though? Anyway, yeah, a solid thock with a little bit of blacksmith spice would be my dream sound in a keyboard.
After the mods, it sounds crisp. Like when you bite into a nice juicy but firm apple, could be a good profile for people who like that type of sound. Probably best for typist experiences rather than gaming or streaming that use a more softer sound profile.
Hipyo it is an absolute CRIME you didn't use Gateron Hippos in this board. I mean it was a Hippo theme! I get it's a sponsored build but that's a missed opportunity.

Unfortunately though, they were out of stock. I just wanna say that these keycaps are superb and it would be awesome if something like this was created again!

I definitely agree with you. It sounds so much more interesting than just the usual thock. A little bit of metal ping is awesome, just not too much

Apparent hipyo installed too many gaskets, 3 instead of 2
And Hipyo got his unit before Shoobs but released his video later so changes were already made to Shoobs' unit I believe

Why don’t they make a see-thru keycap set with the legends being opaque? That would show off the switches underneath, and LEDs would look RADIANT!

Should try the force break mod, I use the .2mm stab pads from upgrade keyboards and it did wonders for the Glacier
