Indeed. I can only assume its similar to the Ford Fiesta i used to own. Given the traffic and potholes here in the uk, i know that my old Fezza was a bit better than the Bugatti. lol.
People can dump on the spec all they want, it’s what we’ve all come to expect from Ed, a usable example of a beast of a car with a great story. Sure, you can not like it, would I want an entirely red car in and out, no, but you gotta respect the hustle. It’s got personality, I feel like we’ve come to understand that means as much to Ed as anything.
I personally think this car is hideous. The red on red is just horrendous, in my eyes. But damn does it not suit Ed to a tee! From the "used and abused" nature of the car to its back story, everything about it is just about perfect for Ed. I'm super happy for him to finally have his dream car.
Fun fact: Of the four Veyron variants (Standard, Supersport, Grand Sport, Grand Sport Vitesse), the Grand Sport is actually the rarest, with only 58 units being built. It was fairly quickly replaced by the Vitesse (92 units). Overall 300 Veyron coupés and 150 open tops were produced, including all special editions and one-offs.
I went for a drive here in north Jersey and made friends with a man named Bill who seems to share your exact same experience. Bill bought his ford GT in 2006 brand new. He’s daily driven it since then and also takes it to the track regularly. He let everybody sit in it and didn’t have any significant worries about paint chips, a respray or whatever else. It had well over 100k miles, but the condition of the car looked like it had 30k. What I think you’re getting at is like Bill, you don’t want to neglect a car, but you agree that they deserve to be driven and it shouldn’t be the end of the world if there’s some wear and tear that comes from that
What Ed is actually trying to say is, if you're in need of a good, everyday runaround car, you should buy a Bugatti. So happy to see someone actually out enjoying their dream car. Most live in a garage under a blanket. Ed is probably the best owner that car could've asked for.
Beiber Bolian drivin' down the street in his Grand Sport....in a few months, you'll get a new hipster haircut, and tell people to call you "Bolz"..... I love it man, grats.
I don't understand why Bugatti hasn't released a convertible since then. It doesn't need to go 300 MPH, just electronically limit the top speed when the roof is open and make it happen.
Dude! You drove past me a few weeks ago! I'm a land surveyor and was working on a property in Milton, and I gave you the 🤘. I didn't realize it was you(you didn't have the top off then) until you raised your hand from the steering wheel to wave, and that's when it hit me. "Holy Shit! That's Ed Bolian!" I was hoping to see you drive back by so that maybe I could flag you down to shake your hand or get an autograph or something, but alas, it didn't happen. Also, about 2 years ago, on the same job site, I saw you, Tavarish, and Hoovie drive by while you must have been filming the CarTrek series in your TVR. I hope if I'm on that job site in the future, I'll be able to get you to stop just to say what's up and maybe check out whatever badass ride you're in that day. Props on getting one of the most awesome cars ever made! If I notice that Bugatti driving by next time, I'll be the crazy guy waving his hands furiously to get you to stop. Haha.
Let’s say you can buy a bunch of corollas and switch them every month without driving same car for 2 months for the amount of money you need to keep a Veyron running 😂 PS: thats just my guess guys please don’t hate me 😅
I live on the coast of New Hampshire and see many ultra-expensive cars, but never one of these. What a treat for the car enthusiasts near Ed to witness this incredible machine.
Dude same I lived on the CA Coast for years, about 50 miles north of Monterey, so street traffic those two weeks was CRAZY. I have seen a GT250, EB110, and a Huayra in traffic, but never a a Veyron. It is my Moby Dick.
Just for a moment, can we take a second at marvel at video technology today? Ed's got the camera set up without any additional lighting and he's rolling through multiple contrasting light conditions yet this whole clip looks like it could be a scene from a movie.
A bunch of people don't like the spec of this Bugatti, and think it is a stupid purchase. They aren't in the position to buy one, and probably never will. Jealousy at its finest. It's your car, so enjoy it! I quite love the spec and I think it is one of the best specced ones because of the story it has. After seeing you in your Verde Draco Muriclago in Indianapolis last year in my GR86 to now this - You've made it for sure! Been watching since 2018.
Jealousy? Nope, it's just straight fugly. I honestly couldn't imagine a way to spec it in a worse way (especially when it's a simple solid color over solid color). . The fact that you double down by saying "I think it is one of the best specced (sic) ones..." is either the most egregious case of pandering, or you're blind AF.
He got it for a steal because of the horrendous spec... The vehicle itself, it's still a Veyron, can't argue that. You can customize your vehicle however you like once you get it so hunting the deal like he always does makes sense regardless of the unappealing look of this Veyron
Ed. I am 23 years old, and do not, and have not, by any definition, owned the caliber of cars you have. But, I do enjoy the drive more than the car, much like yourself. As a result of that, I've taken a lot of what I've seen you do and say over the years to heart. And let me tell you, it is so much more fun to drive my 03 Mach 1 with 156k miles regardless of conditions (short of snow), than it ever was to be scared to run into rain in any of my sub 70k mile Trans Ams and Camaros I've owned over the years.
As someone who's watched your journey from 1000 subs to now, i'm absolutely thrilled you were able to achieve your dream car. If theres a man deserves a Bugatti, its this man right here.
Ed, very heartfelt congratulations to you on this. I have been a subscriber for years and enjoy the content for sure, but to see you reach a dream like this is pretty awe-inspiring. Congrats ED! Been watching VinWiki since it was 30k subscribers and seeing you driving your own Bugatti makes me really happy. I actually really love the spec too, I just wish it had the chrome wheels. That would have been sick.
Ed, never been a big fan of the Veyron. But, I have to say you have the best spec I've ever seen! The red really brings the lines to life. I'd never spec color matched wheels but even those speak to me on that car! Seriously, don't go to GA often but one day I'll see it in person and it'll be right up there with seeing Gordon Murray's F1!!
Man this video felt like such a genuine experience to me. It was absolutely perfect and I think the best way to probably describe a car like this. It was as if the owner could put into words exactly what he felt in the moment and made me feel like I was driving the car myself.
