For driving around, much more subtle black with red highlight wheels would look great, and 5x130 isn't such a crazy stud pattern that custom wheels will be stupid expensive, even going HREs wouldn't be too bad. As for tyres, ed should double check with other veyron guys but going down from the custom 365/25R21 to 345/25R21 is only a 1.4% diameter difference which the stability control system shouldn't really care about, and that gets him on a size that actually exists. The worry at that point becomes load rating. Even the 355/25R21 PZero/Pilot sport 4 are only 107 rated, while the veyron is 108. In the real world, that means nothing. In a crash when the insurance company is staring at a $1.5m bill, that suddenly means everything.
So, to own the car will cost $626,325 in down payment/initial payments, plus $854,000 financed, plus $725,000 as a purchase option. That totals over $2.2 million, not including what could be a few hundred thousand in repairs/maintenance.

Truthfully, it’s similar to high interest mortgage on a house at around 9% or so, and like a house where you have rental income, Ed will get content income, But if you were wondering why a company would loan that much for a car, well they have 370,000 reasons over 5 years of reasons why they would.

I was gonna say, $376k in interest alone over 5 years plus whatever repairs it needs, it won't be the cheapest Veyron GS anymore
It’s a lease, he didn’t finance
I bet he flips it once it will sell for more than $2.0mm. He will not pay 5 years of interest
And of course there is depreciation, business write offs and tax offsets plus a channel that he is using to create content with. It might not be a loss, more of a Costco hotdog type of thing.
You agree to pay for the 5 years of interest. It doesn’t go away because you sold it earlier than the 5 years. It’s what your monthly payment is calculated on.
Also to have your very own initials on the car also "EB" is so frickin cool! The veyron is the first real 'hyper car' will always be so so special! Enjoy the new whip Big Eddie Vert!!😂 love from the U.K 🇬🇧❤👍
Red on Red on Red is my absolute fav. I love this spec and was shocked to it even existed.
I love the transparency in this video. Most people are reluctant to tell you how much they paid for their civic, let alone a Veyron. Awesome video Ed!
"I don't want to be rich enough to buy a McLaren F1" Well some of us want to be, Ed! haha

Get the belts done, seriously you don’t want to find out the sound of valves kissing pistons in a W16. Let alone the bill to fix that

Out of curiosity, I ran the lease numbers through my calculator based on the amortization schedule at 10:30 and he’s getting charged 9.30% interest 😅
Ouch.... 😳
on how Pre-owned Lease goes, thats actually a good interest to be very honest~
That's not a terrible interest if you understand how this works
He is going to pay $506k over 60 months to lower this principal about $125k to a purchase option of $725k. Not so good!
45k for some tires is wild
10k for second key😅
It's refreshing, I appreciate the fact that you are so candid about the entire cost of the deal. Thank you Ed.
Thanks Ed. I had been feeling a little guilty for an offhand purchase of a Reverend Charger 290 beautiful guitar for just over $900.00 a couple months back. Now I can relax and enjoy it.
The greatest felonious vampire, country western troubadour to ever exist plays a Reverend😁
@@darksu6947 And he remains Unknown to this day
For those curious, Ed’s interest payments are roughly $6,200 a month (interest only) equating to roughly $370,000+ of interest over 60 months for the 850k he’s burrowing.
Truthfully, it’s similar to high interest mortgage on a house at around 9% or so, and like a house where you have rental income, Ed will get content income,
But if you were wondering why a company would loan that much for a car, well they have 370,000 reasons over 5 years of reasons why they would.
It’s good to see that even people with these type of hyper cars still deal with the same problems I do with my corvette. I just spend a shit ton of money on tires (not 45k) but it’s all the same thing just in a different scale lol.
Hey ed, im proud and excited for you that you got your dream car. I had mine but unfortunately had to sell it due to financial stress. It wad an 93 skyline gtt. Nothing feels better than getting behind the seat of your dream car and saying "this is mine"
It’s insane how cars that cost so much have so many problems and how the cheap beaters will run with no oil changes for a decade
but they cant go 250+ mph
Love this breakdown! Thanks for sharing
That Bugatti has probably seen some unsettling things under Biebers ownership
Lol, Diddy lubed it

6:36 - $45,000 for tires is just ludicrous. How has a manufacturer not made replacements that may not be able to hit top speed but at least be 1/4 the cost?
It's an extremely limited market, and most of the people who own these don't blink at the cost. Ed's probably got the least net worth of any other Bugatti owner on the planet
@@arthuralford Good point but is the size that unique? I get it that to be rated to go 250MPH+ it needs to be expen$ive but I wonder if there are replacement sizes with the stock wheel size. It's awesome Ed made his dream come true, reaching this goal is such an awesome milestone!
Not most, all.
A majority of buggatti owners are closer to a billion net worth than 50 million.@@arthuralford
We need to see if Milestar has a tire in this size 😂
to a Bugatti owner, spending $45k on tires is like you or me spending $450 on tires. Money works differently at those levels of net worth.

“Catchup” would be a great plate for the Veyron…love the color way; screw the haters!
If I was in Ed’s shoes I would get rid of the Spiker…. Or the Verde Draco Merci. I think either one will take care of the loan on the Bug. At the end of the day, the Black Merci will be worth far more and a much better driving experience.
I’m sure Ed is reading the comments for advice. 😂😂
Those two are probably the most likely to go but I honestly enjoy them both so much. Very hard choice.
@@EdBolian Ive see your Verde Draco Merci in Alpharetta and I don't think I could sell that one. The color is so unique and beautiful. Id sell the Spyker though.
No way that Spyker is going to get near that money. That's a 300.000 dollar car at best. Especially since the buyer knows he needs the money...
Read my mind, the Verde Draco, is one of the oldest (in his possession, the free Lambo) exotic cars in Ed's hands and is sort of redundant with the roadster (but it is a manual Murci, Ed's favorite car, soooo....) on the other hand the Spyker is a work of art, but i don't see Ed using it as much or making any content so probably it will be missed less. Hmmmm... which super car should I keep?? at least that is a beautiful problem to have... debt not so much. Ed enjoy for all of us who wish we could but are not as brave as you to do it, cheers! and blessings!, and wisdom above all!

This is why we have supported this channel for so many years. Im just glad your spending the money like those of us who are tried and true car nuts would. YOLO
Hmmm I wonder how much Houston Crosta would charge for the full service?? I believe he would be way cheaper than Bugatti themselves.
Ed - great video. I love the spec of your Veyron, and you have posted a ton of great photos showing how good this car looks. I posted this comment in an earlier video, but it’s nice that the car has its first non -a-hole owner. Congrats. Awesome purchase!

It’s wonderful to see how happy you are with the Ladybug, Big Eddie Vert! (Love that name 🤣🤣🤣) Thanks for breaking down the numbers and sharing. It was very informative and I wish you many happy miles and years with your dream car. BTW, I LIKE the red wheels a lot! They work really well with the maximalist red theme.
Looked at the lease. Given the scheduled payments, and the remaining balloon payment, functionally works out like financing the car at 15.44% APR over 60 months. “Reasonable”, considering the risk!
Also, I will say this, given the negotiated price of the car: GENUINELY well bought. You WILL recoup the costs of financing in the end. Enjoy it in the meantime!
Prices for these parts are like GTA car parts prices. GTA upgraded tires $40k, suspension 30k so on and so on.
I feel better knowing that men younger than me are also dealing with mental health decline. Ed is very brave to be so open about his early onset dementia.
When the time comes for the big servicing, I picture Ed making a phone call: “Freddie, have I got video idea for you!”
“Ok, ok, hear me out…”
P Diddy probably sat in that car with Beiber at one point 💀
That car definitely was at a freakoff 💀
Automotive locksmith here. I work for a nationwide dealer-only bulk order locksmith company. We service auctions and repo yards and dealerships. Places where we make 20-30 keys a day for vehicles that don't have any/"lost keys." While I've never made a Bugatti Veyron key myself, one of my trainers (he's also in R&D for our company) has. We charged $2k for that key lol $10k is wild
It’s ridiculous that there are ways to get tax benefits purchasing a vehicle like this, regardless of whether it’s for a small business or otherwise. We really need tax reform in this country to stop this insanity where those in the know and with the means game the system. Nothing against you Ed, you didn’t make the rules.
Flat 10% for everyone. EVERYONE.
But it IS a business expense. Anyone can "write off" a car if it is used for business. You still need the money to buy it lol
@@-Jason-L I understand. I am saying that I do not agree with this type of vehicle being a business expense and hence one of the reasons I would like to see the tax code rewritten. Here’s the problem with your statement. Anyone can be in the know. You’re just too lazy to do research or ask

It's just personal taste, I don't like it, you do and most importantly, Ed does.
TBH, I'm not a huge fan of the Veyron styling period buy given the price and my income that's hardly an issue.

I would sell this thing as fast as possible… you owned it… drove it… get rid of it.
Sitting in his garage will be worth much more, this is a 3 mill car in 5 years maybe less
As a real estate developer, I don't really see any difference between what Ed is doing and what tons of investors do. He bought an asset that he believes will appreciate more than his debt service will cost him. Exactly the same as a guy who buys land with 25% equity and a 75% hard money loan and then improves it, then re-finances or sells it based on the new higher value.
Except I can't drive the two acres of land I bought while I wait for rezoning...
