From a french man who knows nothing at mechanic, living in Australia ! Good evening everybody, i wish everyone peace and happiness ! Thanks for the video, I watch them because it teaches me patience and precision ! Take care
Joe i just want to say i have been watching you for years back when all the rides were at your parents and you lived in the other hose you have learn so much sense then my friend and its been great seeing your channel explode its well deserved 👍🏻
I would love to see a video where you fit a body kit and enclose the cabin. Your an awesome mechanic and i really enjoy watching you figure these things out.
You do amazing things with these vehicles, but one thing I would never do is put that oil back in the machine again I don’t care if it does have a couple hours on it. New oil is cheap.
I saw a video where a guy had the fully enclosed body kit on his and he cut a hole in the floorboard the size of a 5 gallon bucket. He then rigged a couple of buckets to telescopically expand down to the ice and he fishes while sitting in his little rig with the heater cranking. He said he can keep it idling and it never overheats and uses a minimal amount of gas. It's on youtube somewhere. It's like a mini ice house. Anyway, great job on the fix. Your work ethic is admirable.
I enjoy watching someone who's very good at what they do and Joe's one of them. Some folks used to watch me when I was bricking or rocking their new homes and stuff and they would say that I made it look easy. Many other times I had inspectors watching me all day long on commercial buildings and refineries here in Texas and they said the same. Conner Company oilfield supply company and Masonry has been very good to me, and I am a dirt bike lover. Used to racing everything from a bicycle to a Honda 500. My favorite dirt bike is a 78 CR 250R, and the next one is the measly 125 RM Suzuki made in 79.
Speed limiters are fantastic once you find out how to disable them😊. My DUALTRON STORM electric scooter was limited to 15 mph. I’ve seen 56 mph (GPS) once I unplugged the grey wire in the deck.
Haha...I thought the same thing. What is causing the oil to get so dirty after only a couple minutes of run time. I get a minor case of anxiety watching these videos when he's working on these things without pressure washing them out. Granted, it's cold where he lives but it drives me nuts.
I'd say a big part of it cranking slow, was the wiring/dirty contacts, because it all started working properly after you sorted the wiring out near the battery
@@almostthere2024 When you have a voltage drop like that the current rises, which more than likely led to the starter cooking. Poor earth and live contacts can cause all sorts of problems and if you only check stuff with a meter, you might not see any problem, as the issues will only show when the circuit is loaded. That's why it's good to test circuits with appropriate test lamps.
Thank you for sharing all your videos. Always a joy to watch you and your talent. Hope your finger is all ok. Can’t wait to watch more. Take care my friend.
I saw what looked to be a ball bearing fall out of the clutch, it was still there when you put the cover back on. Hope it doesn’t cause trouble later. Love your channel!
Hello Joe, another awesome machine saved. It looks a little weird from the front at first but I really like the overall design. Having a huge tipping back and that hood that opens and gets out of the way, really practical.👌❤️
I can’t get enough of watching these. You might not build things like Ratherbwelding but you get everything running and then actually ride it unlike him. No surprise as I used to watch Mustie1 a lot.
Joe must have Charlie or somebody else helping him source deals get parts. It just seems impossible that he’s able to do all that he’s doing on his channel. Either way, love it and nobody works harder.
Ahh my favorite morning show nice work Joe looks like you’ll have a little more room for your ice fishing gear in that rig. Keep up the good work, buddy.👍
I feel uneasy watching you pour that oil back into the motor...even though it only has a very short amount of time used. My 4am OCD kickin' in. lol. I do wonder, what software/coding do you think the display screen is written in? Does anyone have any insight on what platform screens "Infotainment" displays like these are coded in? Linux? Matlab? It seem's to take a long time for the display to load after the motor has been running for a good 10 seconds. ok...back to the video!
Great job Joe. I enjoy watching you as our friend down under had stated it does teach you patience and perseverance thank you for all you do. We’ll keep watching.
Joe, I'm going to guess that the larger tires are puting a ton of stress on the engine and that is why the water pump gear failed. All the other problems with the machine can stem from that it seems.. Anyway great job on the repare and thanks for letting us hang out with you in your shop.
You can't count labour costs, I buy and sell bikes too, it's about making money on the motorcycle, not your labour, unless your a certified mechanic working in a shop.
Awesome job. Did you try the heated seats?. Fun watching your videos. Learn a lot. Hopefully, your finger is doing good. Keep up the great work. Can't wait for the next video.
Joe has ruined me for watching any other mechanics at work, because his video is so good, explanations great, no music, extreme patience and dedication to fixing problems. No others can compare. I used to watch "The bearded Mechanic" but no more.
For Heated Seats, you often need to sit on them to press down against the heater coil to feel the warmth. Or, wait a good while for the heat to penetrate all the way through layers of material and air to feel it with your hand on a non compressed cushion. Or.....it's a crappy heater. Or....it's broken. But try giving it more time next time.
Colin, sorry to hear about you and family having to move. Hope the upheaval brings some silver linings, one first being what sounds like a long fuse to vacate. Still sunny here in northern California. Cheers. Pete
Really nice machine! Being an ice fishing amateur, you should definitely keep that one for you. Like you said, with an enclosed cab on it, it would be perfect. Keep up the good works! Always interesting seeing your videos.
Just watched a dude show off his closed in utv with a access hole cut in the passenger floor for ice fishing. He had a water tight plug for it and a telescopic insert to go into the fishing hole. It was ingenious.
Morning Joe great video. It did sound like brakes were squeaking a little bit sure if it was the cold weather. Thanks for the post I check RUclips on a daily basis wondering what video you’re going to post next. Stay warm outside my friend
You should look into a graphics kit for that beast if you are planning on keeping it (and I’m sure you are) that blue needs a little more color to go with it! You got a good deal on that one for sure!
I really like how that looks with the truck tires. As far as damaging the transmission? It certainly doesn't appear to be struggling in any way. The only issue it is likely to cause is a very inaccurate speedometer reading. I am also surprised that the front tires are not hitting the body or suspension when turning. That doesn't mean that it won't touch if you are really working the front suspension and turning at the same time, but I don't think that you are the type of guy to beat on a machine like that.
I would assume what happened initially could have been the cooling system was not bled properly from the factory and they drove it without fan coming on and not paying attention which caused the plastic gear, guide and tensioner to get waaay too hot causing a failure.
That bike was 10 grand resale 5 min after it left the lot the flywheels are famous for failure with coast of parts and labor it isn't worth it to the dealership to gamble on it. The resale is lower then a cf moto. Polaris and can am bring most money used.great video joe on the fake can am 800
I understand re-using oil that was just changed previously, if it is clean. But that oil had obviously acted as a flush, picking up all the impurities left behind from the overheatings and failure. I know oil gets expensive, too. But I would not have reused it in this instance. Other than that, I really enjoyed the repair. You're starting to do enough of these machines that it may be a good idea to have a few of the plastic gears put back in the garage, where it's a common failure point. Can-am equivelent gears are more than likely made from better materials, as this engine is a clone of theirs. Just something I think would be worth looking into. Advertising it as having upgraded internal gears could also be a positive selling point. I do like the way this machine is set up higher and wider. But I believe they cost too much for being cheaper made clones.

Bonjour, mate🇦🇺
Welcome to Aus mate, i hope you like it here 🤙
I think most of us here in the US are resting much more peacefully since we got our lion of a president back. I know I am.
Have yourself a great weekend!
You know it’s going to be a good day when 2 vintage is the first video on your RUclips
YEA!!!!
Amen
Used Atv dealership. But with good /repaired equipment.
I LIKE WATCHING THE JOE SHOW BECAUSE IT REMINDS ME OF HOW EXCITED I WAS IN MY LIFE WHEN I WAS YOUNG!
Windshield, heated seats, dump bed, 540 miles. . . Who could ask for anything more? It's a keeper, Joe. Good job.
Yea just needs an engine that will last past 100 miles.
Good to go for another 540 miles 😂 only $17,995!!
It's nice to watch someone that knows what he's doing thanks for making great videos.
First thing I check for when on RUclips, new video from 2vintage!! Thank you.
ME TOO But I put off watching till I saw some of my other favorites. I save the best for last a lot of the time. Joe's video (the best)
I haven't been getting any notifications for this channel lately. I'm only here because I accidentally bumped into it elsewhere.

Many have already suggested that. Maybe the glug-glug-glug makes for better YT content.
Best yet, love your work from AUS!
Nice way to wake at 5am to two new vids!!!

Right? Joe made me late for work

I can't believe you dumped that nasty used oil back in there. You do good work, and then hack like that. Damn boy.

I feel you. Oil isn't cheap nowadays but...I dunno bout why it's getting so dark after minimal use like that.
I agree that oil looks dirty... Id think the money you spent to rebuild it whats another 20 or 30 bucks for oil.. But I get it..

I want to see Mrs Vintage take a road legal quad to the local shopping mall and pick up a few things 😂😂😂
She'll come home with a bunch of broken stuff and teach us how to fix it.
