Miriam In China I love watching your channel to unwind. You give the impression of a very calm and peaceful life although I know it cannot truly be like that without modern conveniences; I especially thought so after watching you make pizza, when us in the west eat it as a ‘fast food’ yet yours appeared to take hours to make. Did your family enjoy it? Especially with the new flavour of cheese. Your mother in law has a lovely friendly face, it’s nice to see you have been accepted by them, and your husband is so handsome! Talk about FARM-TO-TABLE! I have always wanted to live like this! Talk about country side! I love noodles. It makes me happy. What a great village (like Germany and some of their villages.
Yes, definitely farm-to-table! I pretty much love all things made by wheat haha. I hope to learn more from my mother-in-law so that I can make it all myself!

Thank you Miriam for sharing your daily life with so many people. Really enjoy watching it. The baozi must taste extra delicious with all the effort you put in :)). I also noticed the red color chinese characters on the grinding machine Henan Jiaozuo. It is actually my hometown. what a coincidence.
It is amazing how much work it takes to grind wheat to flour. We are spoiled in North America and just go to the supermarket and pick up a bag of flour. The homemade steamed buns (boazi) looks delicious.
I know, I had never seen this process in real life before! I have really learnt to appreciate food on a different level after living here! And the baozi were delicious!
Miriam, you are certainly blessed to have such nice and loving in-laws. They have a simple life but they seem to be genuinely happy with their lives. You are living a life that a lot of people envy. It's a simple life but a full life. You're lucky that your husband is so strong to carry all those bags of wheat. Will it be enough to last a whole year? The in-laws have a really nice house! As usual, your videos inspire me to cook and eat.

Adorable you guys! I think this baozi might be so delicious because is made with love. I like this perspective from rural China. As the country is so big it might be so different one village to other in south, north, east and west. Big hug to your mother in law, she is super cute!
I spent a year in China and would have loved to have lived in rural China and experience that life. I am back home now but I get to enjoy watching videos like yours.
In todays society, many of us are so far removed from how our food is made. Thank you for sharing with us a glimpse of the hard work and eventual tasty pay-off of growing your own food.
Yes, that's one of the most important things I've learned here - the hard hard work that goes in to food! I grew up buying the majority of our food from the supermarket, and not until I moved here did I learn to really appreciate the food I eat. It's a different level of appreciation!
this video concinced me to subscribe to you. i am vegetarian too and mostly vegan the only dairy i consume is yogurt and milk and cheese sometimes... i love Asian/Chinese food but i dont find too many vegan or vegetarian options. i love that i have finally found one!
@@MiriamFollin Hi, I am writing from the Philippines...our food here is a mixture of Malay, Spanish and Chinese, would you believe!
the music, the smiles in people's faces~~~we can feel and even touch the beauty of life'
