Don't believe everything people tell you. Just because someone can say something doesn't make it true. Autoflower plants my ass. A 3½ month veg time, and 9-10 weeks flower he calls them autoflowers but he also has to cut back light cycles to induce flowering

I can't in good conscious trust info from an autoflower grower who lies to followers about harvesting 17oz from a plant that he really only got 10oz from. People gonna buy these seeds he promotes expecting miracles only to be seriously disappointed. When I run indoors in winter/spring I consistently harvest ½elbow plants dense tightly fat heavy buds. Yet his "1elbow" plant looks same size as my ½elbow photo periods.

Thanks guys, the most relevant and useful discussion that I could have heard today. I have one Gorrilla Zkittlez Auto, it was a freebie with a 5 pack of photos of the same strain from Barney's farm. I decided to put 3 photos through a long veg and grow the auto alongside them so I got the Auto to around the 3 node mark and germinated the photos. I must say that I have fallen in love with this little Auto, I might as well have ran over it with a truck with the amount of mistakes I made with the poor thing, I transplanted it during the seedling stage, I topped it, I bent it, I overwatered it, underwatered it, SPLIT THE MAIN STEM RIGHT DOWN THE CENTRE 2 WEEKS INTO FLOWER TRYING TO SPLAY THE TOPS OUT 🤣🤣. She started showing pistils at about 7 inches tall and is now 19 inches from soil level and an absolute mutant, 12 inch Colas, about 15 of them. Looks like genetics are a top priority for Autos, as they are with all seeds but so much more so for Autos. I think the thing that is seriously turning me on to autos is the 18 to 24 hour light cycle, eliminates worries of light leakage in flower leading to hermies and other issues plus I live in a temperate climate where 12 hours lights off is a nightmare for much of the year with serious mold and mildew problems unless I am running several appliances simultaneously during the lights off cycle which is both costly and noisy. Autos are starting to pick up a lot of awards, pay for good genetics and you are good. Really looking forward to perpetual growing in just one space which is another great benefit of autos, if you have space in your tent you can start and finish autos is tiny pots

I honestly feel that it is close to impossible to over water in coco. I had a two week old seedling that I messed up and loaded to much nutrients in the coco so I flushed it for a week straight about a gallon a day or more to bring down ec it did not die it flourished after down. Now if you just let your pot sit in all the runoff I feel that's where you'll run into problems.

What should become more of a target for people, is getting the product to the correct water activity before putting into the cure container. if this is properly achieved, burping is not needed, as the RH never rises in the container. there is no change in the O2 or CO2 in the cure container with properly dried material. ethylene gas varies and if you want to purge that, it peaks days 12-17. we dont know the exact effects ethylene gas has on medicinal herbs specifically but its fluctuations in their curing containers has been measured.

    Great episode 💚
    Autos are underestimated for sure.
I also grow autos around a pound. actually i harvested an OG Kush Auto with over a pound of yield. I grow in DWC at the moment and i also run my ec very high. My setup is also manual without controller or much measurement. Very basic with some minor diy.

Not gonna lie My first ever grow was autos and I got one almost a p indoor, all huge, I have pictures, I put my heart into it, learned everything, trained and all, had many colas, my biggest one had a bunch of arm length colas, I should have kept doing that and started RUclips or what not, that was years ago imagine where I would be, I grew after that for awhile mostly photos, but took a break the last few years.

It seems to me like this option is akin to wading ankle deep into the water, then walking back out. If you've come this far, just go hydro. At that point, you're clearly familiar with the basics of horticulture, so may as well get serious and optimise the potential of this plant. Once the initial system is established, DWC and RDWC are among the easiest, most reliable ways of growing...as you fellas know.

I had a Starfox X Mothman Auto by Gnome Automatics in an earthbox last spring (indoor)
Somehow she survived days above 80F and humidity in the 90% range
I dont know for sure but i think the purple was my only saving grace
Which is just more evidence that it all starts with good genes.... GENETICS GENETICS GENETICS!

ALWAYS BOTTOM WATER COCO! So much easier than wasting nutes and trying to dispose of runoff (dumping it in your yard is bad for the environment).

Sunshine on a sunny day is 70,000 LUX. So, divide that by the stages of your plants and you don't need an expensive meter, just a cheap LUX meter. $25. 15,000 for seedlings, 30,000 for start veg, 45,000 for start flower, 70,000 for late flower. I increase the distance each time I turn up the lights so the plants can grow into the more intense light. Save your money.

Back when I started growing(early 90's) the amount of jail time you would get was based on the number of plants. We would grow giant plants with lbs of flowers but no way would I go back to growing 3 plants. Cut your veg time in half and grow more plants with better flowers. Cheers

Lab testing doesn't cut it, find someone with an Orange Photonics tester. Those units force a replacement of the HPLC column every 25 tests, is used by the US FDA and law enforcement around the country. My tests here in Kansas City is $40 regular price, or $20 on sale. The usual MO is someone sets one up in a local grow store, they advertise it, then you either test while you wait or drop off.

I just don’t like the bud structure of most autoflowers. I just finished some Strawberry Gorilla and its structure was ok and it was pretty hard hitting. But compared to my 9 Ethos photos I just harvested not even in the same galaxy in every aspect. I have 5 Mephistoreos running now and they smell amazing but super small and again a little loose bud structure compared to solid photos. To each his own obviously but im in the “photos are better” camp and I have grown some pretty impressive autos.

Why TF would anyone turn a photoperiod line into an auto flower😂 if you get that weight from an auto you could get even more from photos. Dark period is essential and it saves electricity autos are BOOF

to think someone can work their way up from a single plant outputting maybe 1oz up to a single plant producing over 20 ounces. this type of gardening is insane.

To clarify "reusing coco", he replaces the top 4 inches each grow and whatever is sticking to the root ball, which means he's on like a 3 grow substrate cycle.

Speed run used my gear to start speed run seeds which he got from my buddy in Colorado ive been breeding for almost 10yrs now with autos and I never brought anything to market bc unfortunately the people that have approached me about getting in the game seem solely based on profit and for me I just want to provide people with quality cannabis genetics for cheap as possible bc I know wat it's like when u cant afford these 150 and up packs to get something worthy of smoking.
