Good morning friend and I'll be honest with you. The Orient I own is a black Ray II and it is really beautiful. But as an automatic (+5 minutes per month which is acceptable), it needs regulation (date & time) as well as a good service every five years which is expensive. So this will be my last automatic ever. The Citizen is very very accurate, you do not need to regulate, awesome in hand, but the most important is the eco-drive machine. You just leave it under the sun for a couple of days and you have energy for the next six months !! Not to mention that I will have to change the capacitor after ten or maybe...twenty years. Great watch good review, just found your channel. You mentioned ‘Normal’ people, I think you meant desk divers! Promaster range often used by divers around the world as back up to computers and gauges and for everyday wear, as mentioned in previous comments. I think they are outstanding.
You are absolutely right about the diameter being 43m. I bought one three years ago. Depending on wear you measure the diameter from: bezel to bezel from each edge or across the back of the case - that would give 43m.
The hard plastic band can be uncomfortable if you have skinny wrists. I switched out the plastic band for a Nato strap of the same color. It think it looks better than the SKX 009J that I also have.
Nice review. Got one last month - beautiful and powerful looking watch which lives up to expectations, really well finished. Keeps great time. The strap is ok but I changed it for an after-market one.
Great review! Love that Seiko on your wrist. I own the Citizen, its fantastic. I recommend paying a bit more for the bracelet as it is a very high quality bracelet (the best I've seen for under 500). Currently I wear it with a dark brown thick leather strap, it looks fantastic.

Hi, yeah the ND tables is something that all good SCUBA divers should know off the backs of their hands, so the figures printed are somewhat gimmicky for real divers. If one had to rely upon looking at that small table in order to calculate a no deco dive then u could be screwed. I have the previous model eco drive, still going strong almost 17 years! This model is much larger and of course has the offset crown. Just upgraded to a Seiko ProSpex and reviewed it too. Thanks for showing!
@@tobias_dahlberg No probs, yeah thanks for posting the review. I've been thinking myself about getting one LOL but just got a new Seiko this time around!
As a former search and rescue diver for the county sheriffs department I think the band could be good for newer divers but I like the band and I think the ND on it looks cool! I probably will buy a cpl different bands for this and have fun with it! I never owned a dive watch as a Rescue diver in Ohio because 99% of all water I dove in was black water, you can’t see your hand if you put it directly on you mask! All done by feel but 20 years later I decided to buy one and got this one and glad I did!!

For those of us who can’t afford expensive watches I find it kind of an insult to call a very capable watch a beater watch ! Not trying to be overly sensitive but I work and I bring in 2 incomes into my house and to spend a cpl hundred bucks on a watch is a big deal to me and it’s my prized possession as far as watches go. I won’t be rude and use the term watch snobs for those who disrespectfully call this a beater I understand choices in your life may be different than mine which I’m glad for you but this watch deserves to be called more than a beater watch! I was a search and rescue diver for my country sheriffs office and am retired but anyway I love this watch and am proud to say that it’s definitely no beater watch!
It's all a matter of a simple misconception. For you, beater is a derogatory term, but it isn't for me. When I say beater, I mean it's such a capable watch that it'll withstand most everything you throw at it and do a good job of telling the time at the the same time. I do not mean that it's a 'cheap' watch and so you can throw it around, not at all. We've just got different definitions about what beater means. I hope I cleared things up. Have a nice day, Tobias
Wound Up - Watch Reviews yes that makes perfect sense and I appreciate your honesty! I guess I’m just used to getting trampled on certain watches I own so my sincere apologies for assuming the worst I’m going to sub your channel and again I shouldn’t assume anything from people I don’t know and can appreciate your honest review!
@@brianbuchert6382 steady on! if you use it for search and rescue, then its a beater - beater means to bang it up. bushwalking. diving. yard work. whatever. its a couple hundred bucks, sporty and durable as heck. its a beater if you want it to be. what confuses me is the w*** on a facebook group i follow who are looking at $4000 Oris watches for a beater.
Hi Brian. I sort of agree with you...the term beater in the context of a watch is not generally meant in the same way as beater for a car i.e. a wreck or cheap banger (as it's known in England), however it's an unfortunate coincidence of words and it's origins aren't clear in watchspeak. People would do well to think about buzzwords before adopting them, consciously or otherwise. Sir, I salute you.
The orange color on the minute hand on mine has faded so much. The bezel has faded too. This watch isn't very UV resistant. Still keeps good time though.
Very very nice. The only "improvements" I'd make to this watch are a) titanium case b) standard genuine caoutchouc rubber strap c) optional titanium band.
I have quite a few divers in my collection. I have the black version of this on my wrist right now. The only watch I have that I like more is my Seiko King Turtle. I also paid well below retail price.
Is it antimagnetic being stainless steel? I own a promaster diver in titanium and it is antimagnetic by default. I like the fake tank! I got my promaster without it being a sleeper model with orange dial.
Mine arrived to today in the same packaging. I like it! I paid $244 for mine. If one is looking for a cheaper dive watch they should look at the Casio Duro which is nice but I like the Citizen better.
@@tobias_dahlberg People can say what they want about quartz movements but a quartz movement that never needs a battery change is perfect for a beater. :)

This watch made me sell my SKX which I swore I'll never do !!! Now I own both this ECO Drive and the Citizen ProMaster NY0040-50E. Citizen is so underrated. Big Big mistake.

Have a nice day,
Tobias
They should save themselves some money and pick up this beauty!
I LOVE the look of this thing just pulled the trigger on a black one from Amazon on black Friday for 160 now there 250
What code did you use , did you buy from the site????
The orange color on the minute hand on mine has faded so much. The bezel has faded too. This watch isn't very UV resistant. Still keeps good time though.
Very very nice. The only "improvements" I'd make to this watch are a) titanium case
b) standard genuine caoutchouc rubber strap c) optional titanium band.
Earthian I’m not sure why you’d need a titanium case S this watch is super light but I will admit I’m a titanium fan!
can you provide the link where you bought it from, please?
I have quite a few divers in my collection. I have the black version of this on my wrist right now. The only watch I have that I like more is my Seiko King Turtle. I also paid well below retail price.
Thanks for the great video! I just ordered mine!!
Is it antimagnetic being stainless steel? I own a promaster diver in titanium and it is antimagnetic by default. I like the fake tank! I got my promaster without it being a sleeper model with orange dial.
Quick question please, how long does lume last? Hours i hope😁
where did you buy this watch from?
Can i ask which website did yoi purchase, my friend?
can you please share the info of the place you bought it from? thanks
Please tell me where can i buy this watch for that price. On ebay it cost about 200-250$.
I have the same one but in black i putted a nato strap and it is just perfect. I recommend to everyone worth every penny!!
Link for Shopping Please!!!
Do u have the link where u bought the watch?
I just bought one of these. I like it. It's a good value for the money.
where did you buy it from? and how much did it cost you?
I bought mine off Ebay.com. Only buy from a seller with a 99% or 100% rating. Mine cost 112.50 USD
@@KRW628 Thanks. can you post that link you bought it from? That's a great price for this watch!
Ebay.com should do it
I bought one for my dad. He loves it. Bought it off of Amazon.com
I have a citizen and I think that they are very good for the money 💰 🙂
Good video man !Iis it suitable for a small wrist ?
Soo, where did you buy it from?
🤩Gonna buy one soon. I am not too fond of the plastic band but I would replaced it with a nice brown genuine leather band.
So soon mine is coming ❗⌚👌🏼
Nice video I got one and is great on a nato strap very good watch
Mine arrived to today in the same packaging. I like it! I paid $244 for mine. If one is looking for a cheaper dive watch they should look at the Casio Duro which is nice but I like the Citizen better.
Seems hard to beat at that price point. With that Eco-Drive movement it more or less bulletproof.
Yeah exactly, very hard to beat.
@@tobias_dahlberg People can say what they want about quartz movements but a quartz movement that never needs a battery change is perfect for a beater. :)
I have an automatic and frankly I prefer my eco drive for its accuracy.
Link to where you purchased?
It is ISO 6425. Always a good thing to mention when reviewing a "dive watch". 6425 is pretty good at this price point. Considering Bell & Ross make a true tool watch with the same ISO. Thanks for your review. Well done!

Great watch have one myself.I did get a brown leather strap looks awesome.
Is this watch better than the Citizen Eco Drive BN0191?
Please can you provide me with the link where you've purchased it from?
Nice watch, please put the ebay link for purchase, thank you
Hello.. can you share link where you buy it?
Citizen delivers amazing quality for a fair price!
My cousin got that watch! It’s so nice!💕👍
Can you please provide the Amazon link?
This watch made me sell my SKX which I swore I'll never do !!! Now I own both this ECO Drive and the Citizen ProMaster NY0040-50E. Citizen is so underrated. Big Big mistake.
I had same choice & went with Citizen. If SKX had NH35 series movement, I might have chosen it at the time. Knowing what I know now, I would choose Citizen even over SKX with windable movement (I have a Seiko 5 with windable movement).
Whats the difference to the BN0151-17. Because they look the same. Want to buy one but I'm not sure now. Could someone help?
I'm about to buy it, but before I do I wanna make you a question: How much would you pay (tops) for this watch? or rephrasing, Do you think it's still a good value to purchase it for 200 US$?
What vendor did you buy from?
Thanks for the video. Nice presentation and nice watch. For anyone stumbling upon this video at this moment.l, right now this is available for $120 + tax on amazon. Hopefully someone finds this message buys one like I did 😄

where did you get it for 150?
Great review! What’s the website name to purchase the watch? Thanks
Just bought one !
Just got this watch. Love it
There stated case size clearly means with the crown
I had that watch but I sent it back, It looked really small on me. I got an eco-zilla instead. That being said, it's a nice watch and I was disappointed that I didn't keep it. Might buy it again.
You must have arms like a gorilla because my wrist is 225 and its perfect but with a new XL strap from Gecko. I suppose its just about perception.
