    Given his height, its hard to conceive how or why he'd struggle with the high ball. It's custom made - for him

    Uh nah. You’re basically saying delpo jumps to meet the ball. Delpo is unloading his left leg more because he’s attacking a high ball which causes him to come off the ground. The ball is in his strike zone because he spaced it out like you said.

      You’re right. The biggest struggle in tennis is keeping your body from moving upwards much during your stroke. During the stroke the body is uncoiling which necessitates coming off of the ground to avoid knee and ankle twisting injury, but only slightly, which I think Delpo does a great job of, but he’s not jumping to meet the ball higher.
