Two things. I have a 45 recording by Jascha Heifetz 1953 that I have played to death over the years. 1) Ive known I'm losing my hearing but more high notes missing than I realized. 2) For having listened to Heifetz so many times, I recognized the subtle differences between their styles, here and there a note or two held just a little longer.
Midori's is very precise but Perlman just gives you more note for your buck. He is taking his time, but just enough to make every note as clear as daylight. Perfect for a naïve novice and appreciate the subtle balance he shows in being fast, precise and clear as fresh spring water. Then there is Mississippi hot potato. Got to thank her for introducing people to good music.
Someone in Midori's video said Perlman's was more warm and joyful and they were right. I really don't know which one I prefer though. Midori's feels so clean while this has a more natural and rustic feel to it.
Midori's version is the best possible technically. Perlman's sound is warmer and more fun. But as a violinist, Midori got my vote because she nailed that thing so magisterially...
i have always think that midori played this passionately and it sounds like determination at something while perlman i guess .... hes more sensitive, like you can almost imagine hes playing with his daughter or son while he plays this??
Listen to the man Itzhak called "God's violinist", Jascha Heifetz, RIP Jascha. And Itzhak has taken his place. ruclips.net/video/RLMfODeg6tw/видео.html
It's hard to find fault with Perlman, but my favorite remains Alexei Korsakov. Hard to find, but worth seeing/hearing. That is the most compelling performance of this piece that I could hope for.
for me the sound of itzhak perlmal is much superior in quality behind a true fervor is emotion, Midori plays like a standard robot without feeling the music gets annoying and boring and very normal
I can't believe Perlman himself did a cover on Miss Mississippi's composition :O
hahaha :)
You're right. That he dared it!

Had to come here the GOOD version after Miss Mississippi destroyed it in the worst way possible.
+jaylin pringle Oh my God, me too! Glad to know I'm not the only poor bloke who suffered through that atrocity.
+jaylin pringle Simone Porter does a great job on it too.
Same here
I can't agree any more! Hahahahahah!
Same here
J'adore !
This is definitely the best version of this piece I heard!😍
Really? Then Listen to midori, nothing More to say
if he played on an italian violin it would sound like the Midori goto

Compare this version to the Midori one. Midori is perfect in technique but Perelman is perfect in feeling and warmth!!!
Luis Stern he's always got the interpretation down

Midori's left hand pizzicato alone crowns her in my opinion.

i prefer the original version by miss Mississippi
Henri Roy You’re the one who’s mental! Can’t even tell that was sarcasm, lol
Once you you got the ear plugs in, she was pretty easy to look at.
@@crorivpro haha yes
LMAO XD
Miss mississippi was not doing the original one, this is the original one, miss mississippi was bad at it.😣😐
Soberbia interpretación del maestro Perlman, inmejorable!
Bring on Miss. Mississippi!
powszechnie znane Zapateado w wykonaniu Perlmana to prawdziwa perełka
Grande Sarasate , Grande Itzhak!
Excelente!!!!!
Je l'adorée !!! Marci, Merci, Merci ♥️♥️♥️
Beautiful!!!!!

Heifetz
Heifetz

I had to listen to a good version after hearing the Miss Mississippi one.
Honestly, I prefer Hadelich, but this is still an amazing performance
I agree with you about Hadelich.
Did anyone else come here after being traumatized by Miss Mississippi?
I did!

❤️❤️❤️
I prefer Szeryng's perfomance - it's perfect!!!
Sure. Sarasate did OK too. :)
Bububu bububu
Check out Oscar Hans version an extremely talented violinist from Australia, a younger version of the great Perlman
Spinoza
HAHAHAHA THIS IS PERLMAN SURE IS A NICE JOB HAHAHAHAHA
HHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHHHH YES HAHAHAHAHAHAH
this is not Itzhak Perlman's version.
Alejandro Espinoza yes it is, I have the recording
Honestly? I prefer Midori Goto's playing over this.
for me the sound of itzhak perlmal is much superior in quality behind a true fervor is emotion, Midori plays like a standard robot without feeling the music gets annoying and boring and very normal
Difficile a interpréter
I prefer gil shaham ❤ wbo agree ?
Good, I like too. But I prefer Rabin
Nope. Perlman or Midori.
Yt Yt now I prefer Augustin Hadelich 😍
I Agree. Shaham and Midori are the best violinists on this work.
@@preppychrisbou itzhak perlmal is best
