I think it is hilarious how in Heat, and in Unbound, the characters are upset that the police want to apprehend them. "Bro! The cops want to confiscate the vehicles in which we have been breaking laws and endangering the public for social media clout! Those evil bastards are enforcing the laws, and are protecting the public from our reckless activities!" Most Wanted didn't shy away from presenting you, the player, and your ingame activities as a criminal. Because they were illegal. You were breaking the laws to become Most Wanted.

I would say that NFS' Golden Era is gone, not the whole genre. For me, NFS kinda doesn't have a place for itself in the market anymore: You want full-on simulation? Ascetto Corsa and iRacing. Want something still realistic but a bit more arcade? GT7 and FH5. Want a full-arcade racer? It's NFS and The Crew for ya. The few onl things NFS always had to itself were the prsentation and soundtrack, and they are starting to lose the soundtrack.

Toyota: (shows EA the dialogue that was made for the game that *explicitly* promotes illegal street racing, a crime that often results in property damage, injury, or death, or all of the above) Now do you know why we don't our cars anywhere near your games?
For the story in what your character says about street racing, hear this out. THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION IN STREET RACING! It’s not expressing yourself, you’re just a daredevil and putting everyone else’s life on the line, look at Need For Speed Most Wanted, your mute character just lost their car, and to get it back, they have to do dangerous street races and even physically battle the police, putting their lives on the line as well. Most Wanted and Carbon knew you were the bad guy from the start, so the more you progress through the story, both other blacklist racers, and the police see you as a menace to society. We blew up gas stations, knock down structures to lose the police, and our character don’t care about them, they just want their ride back, they don’t really care about everyone else’s safety. This is what the new NEED FOR SPEED games don’t make sense about, trying to make your character the good guy, despite breaking every traffic law, and putting peoples lives at risk when you crash into them at 200 MPH.

I honestly wish there there was more on what made Blackbox or old Criterion really good. They didn't have Gran Turismo Graphics or a bottomless roster of cars, it had night-time only or a yellow filter over the game, ambitious mechanics that weren't realistic, but were a heck of a lot funner than realism. It should be about engagement and fun, the BMW was great because it was a part of an unrealistic story, where the guy has your cool car, prodding at you with little texts and phone calls. You crush police cars with a VW Golf. In Burnout 3, you go from crashing tiny compact cars in the US to driving all around the world ramming opponents super sport cars into tankers. I was hyped for Unbound at first because of the appealing art style. It was a step in the right direction, although I still prefer Heat. They both had problems but a lot of potential in their own ways. You did a great job with this video, keep up the grind.
Listen me out, NFS is the music. Even the mediocre entries (the run, undercover, carbon) were great because the playlist was diverse and very solid. Key word is diverse! I love hiphop as much as the next guy but I also love d'n'b, I love nu-metal, I love dreamy ambient soundscapes of Amon Tobin and whatever else used to play in older games. Every NFS entry had a musical identity!
@@NFSBeast2365 it’s the shortest need for speed and the mechanics are barely fleshed out, cops are pointless and play no part in the story. Yes it is mediocre and it was rushed.
Diverse and also picked songs that set the mood and hyped you up to race. Meanwhile in Unbound you’re forced to listen to Japanese mumble rap with a guy panting in your ear at 200mph.
@@BlooTeg no problem, hey there is another problem with the game, it affects so many but you can all of a sudden lose control of the car and the car will ''lock'' itself in like a second and it can be annoying and it can also sabotage your race (thats the reason i don't play it as much)
You hit the nail on the head. The whole game needs to built from the ground up rather than rehashing the same mechanics with cheesy story lines and elements to please everybody. It’s a damn game about cars and tuning culture not a lecture about life. Anyways back to playing Driv3r 😅
I totally get what you mean. This game had such potential and I was so excited Criterion was back on the horse with it, although it's disappointing in so many ways it has it's positives. I truly do play older racing games than I do new ones, and it sucks that it's starting to feel more about the money than making a game about cars. It's like movies nowadays. Back then, movies were made because people wanted to express stories through a different type of lens than just words. It wasn't just something to do and wasn't always about the money. It was about expressing some sort of creativity in a different way. The same way is with games, why do a movie that lasts an hour long when you can express yourself through an adventure that takes hours and has so much to offer and explore. I love cars, and I've always loved racing games because I can just go to another world in my free time and play with my favorite cars. And that's what's sad about this. Heat was its own thing, and this game feels like they just slapped things together and mixed some heat elements to it. It doesn't feel like an individual game, and more like a copy and paste with a few tweaks and a new badge. Overall its still something to play, it looks beautiful and I still see the treasure in the rubble, but I worry for what they will bring next in hopes of going past the norms and exploring and experimenting. Anyway, great video. Also, I do miss the old mascot version of you (I dunno what to call it) this one is still cool but the clay one was absolutely hilarious, but that's just me, I'm no hater of course. Keep going! Now that I think about it, you're the only guy I've watched to not have a biased opinion 🤔 I'm gonna be honest here I think if NFS went back to Supercars we wouldn't be having this issue
It's not like EA is going to sponsor me or anything, and even if they did, it would be just wrong for me to keep ignoring whatever problems they have. it's been 4 games that are basically the same and they keep ignoring what we say. Sucks.
You nailed how I feel about this game. After my hype pf the game died off after the first few weeks I couldn’t bring myself to play it because it’s just not fun to play. The story is awful(except for Rydell ofc), the police are annoying, it’s incredibly grindy and the multiplayer is barely even a mode. I’ve just gone back to playing HEAT since it gives me the freedom to do what I want 😅
At this point whenever i see this blue-white BMW GTR M3 appearing in a NFS title, I feel like that car is for some reason cursed or haunted. Probably ever since its appearance in Most Wanted (2005). My theory? The car doesn't have a true owner by this point, the drivers take it as "a trophy", because it was probably the most famous car that beat the unbeatable Razor. It's a most wanted racing car amongst other racing cars that always exchanges drivers whenever someone loses.
Funny enough, in Unbound they don't even know the car. They don't praise it for being something cool, it's just like "uh okay, car delivered" I get exactly what you say, it would be easier not to take these as canon but they clearly are supposed to be

Nothing EA makes could ever top racing at full speed with Decadence by Disturbed in the background Good video, mate. It is clear that you love the franchise
Most Wanted was a masterpiece. The soundtrack, the blacklist system, the missions, the chases and the levels. I haven't played any NFS since 2015, it is a waste of time.
I was honestly considering buying Unbound because all my other friends got it. I thought it would be different from Heat. Glad I was broke during the release. And I’m glad I was still broke when it went on sale a few days later You were spot on when you said the devs basically modded Heat. If this was instead released as an expansion to Heat and only charged $5-$10, people would probably like it.
Good take. I fully agree with what you said. I got hyped when I saw the trailers since I had hoped the radical changes would not stop at the artstyle. Then I played the game and was pretty disappointed that the artstyle really was all they changed. When will they realise that the handlig model is crap and noone likes the characters they write? And the soundtrack really is horrible. Like two good songs and after an hour they start to repeat themselves. Such a shame. Why does EA not see how much money they could make if they put someone in charge that actually cares about the games they make? Should that in itself not be motivation enough to make a good game?
I wonder what would have happened if EA hadn’t treated Black Box in such an utterly inhumane manner? They might have been able to come up with more creative yet still NFS-flavoured ideas, or I guess they might have just kept up the quality of the games for a little longer before they got burnt out. Whatever the case, I think NFS needs to find a new team that can fill Black Box's shoes, and ofc enough support from EA to carry out their fresh ideas. Btw, thanks for including the whole ‘conversation’ with that musician, I ended up laughing just from the sheer length of it!! What on earth were they thinking? 😂 Great video, as usual
I'm almost 30 so when I saw the art direction of Unbound, I knew it wasn't for my generation, which is fine. But then before launch I saw a picture they posted on social media saying something s-tier cringe like "Stunt on your opps and spin the block." and it sent me over the edge.
I wish I got around to talk about that in the video now, but seeing the social media guy doing emojis and talking like he's 17 was definitely one of the cringiest things I've seen
I was always in the BURNOUT series camp when it came to playing games, but I always respected Need For Speed for the things it did, and its style. Now in the current era of games, im not sure who has it worse, Need for Speed fans who are constantly getting mediocre games at best pushed into their faces or 60 bucks, or us BURNOUT fans who dont even get games anymore to be disappointed in.
Need for speed. I'm more of a burnout guy and while I want a new burnout, I'm glad there isn't another one because remember: EA. They own these franchise's and they have already butchered one and I don't want them to butcher the other one.
i mean the true need for speed fans already gave up on the games... they feel more like burnout games that try to look like need for speed games at this point so id say burnout players get a game from a different series and need for speed players get forza horizon...
Honestly, as someone who has been into the retro shooter genre since i was born, sometimes, *dead is better* I'd rather have a forgotten franchise like quake, than to get another Duke Nukem Forever, or worse yet, blood II EWWW
NFS fans. All of the NFS game Criterion made have Burnout influences. Which doesn't even make it a NFS game. It's Burnout with NFS's name stamped on it.
Need for speed is the Halo of racing games. Once a franchise that every company strived to complete with eventually fading into irrelevance due to mismanagement and lack of identity. EA clearly tries to cater to the Instagram "car enthusiast" rather than just trying to create a good game which is why the only significant differences between the recent entries is the amount of cars and car customization that slowly get added with each entry.
I want NFS High Stakes. Same cars, same locations, same physics, cockpit view, damage, same career mode (betting pink slips), same hot pursuit features (riding helicopters and managing an entire police force), same mod community, same everything. It had enough personality to outlast every Nfs EA has ever made
Cell-shaded (or whatever that style is supposed to be) smoke looks less vision-obscuring than I thought, but the combo of cell-shaded characters and "realistic"-looking cars is still looks weird to me. And why removing bumpers considered a feature? Seems like the game keeps Heat`s "cutscene and then drive somewhere while listening to something you don`t care about and doesn`t matter in the story" approach to story writing. I think devs kind of settled on this "annoying people racing around modern fast and furious movie" being series`s identity, instead of circling back and refining themes from other games of the series, like following history of one car manufacturer (or several of them), like in Porsche Unleashed; or actually revisiting story and setting of street racers turning to legal racing, like in Pro Street. Maybe even mix it with Shift`s professional racing, so this time player starts as street/semi-legal racer and goes on to become professional racer, kind of what Grid 2 did. Wonder if my pc dies before EA runs free weekend or even gives this game away.
For me it has another flaw. In the new games there are characters and politycs and all that crap. In the old ones there was (or not) a story and a nameles main character. But the main characters were the cars and even if there were characters they had their personalities related to cars. Anf the.police felt like an enemy a rival which you could fight with and it felt like a game, not a politytical cringefest with unlikeable characters.
Need For Speed has outlived its relevance. I'm not saying this to anger people but it's true. After 2015, the series hasn't recovered in any aspect (except for Heat which tried to).
Crash 'N' Burn has this amazing realistic detail no other racer has done, if you see a fuel leakage by one of the wrecked cars, you can use nitrous to light them on fire causing your own hazard for the rest.)
Considering we'll never have a remaster of NFS Underground 1& 2, it seems like they're trying way too hard with the newer games. The storyline was way too predictable in Unbound. Very disappointing.
the storyline was only predictable a few days away from the final and was incredibly weird, dissapointing and soppy... Like yeah someone who betrayed you, even if it was a mistake... it was a big blow stealing ALL of Rydels rides and your own (initial) starter car... You don't forgive that stuff in a day if ever...
6:14 (small correction) you can. Just press Tab(what ever the button is for the pause menu) and it should be somewhere there. Also great video, i hope you make more of them.
Correction for 6:18: You can edit the handling while in freeroam, you just have to pause the game and go to the handling menu instead of going to back to the garage
I think they need to drop the frostbite engine entirely since its clearly extremely limiting and holding the developers back. Every single game since 2015 has essentially been the same game graphically and physics wise. I think they need to find a balance between old school and new to bring this series back from the dead. I personally prefer the cops vs racers games like high stakes and hot pursuit with no customization and no meta cars for people to abuse. I am also getting very tired of most wanted being the only game referenced all the time....like they have 30 years worth of games to show love and they just toss in most wanted and call it a day. Hell, Most Wanted 2012 showed more love to the franchise with cars and race references. In closing. i think that after 30 years and multiple developers, the series is done. The frostbite engine is notoriously awful, and the people who made it even quit EA so they could stop using it. I think if they want a future in the arcade racing world, drag the chameleon engine out of retirement and use it instead and boot criterion. I say give the series to stellar entertainment and see what they can do. Also, people need to stop complaining about brake to drift. It is fun and keeps the game action flowing fast and smoothly. NFS is an ARCADE racer and always will be.
The A$AP Rocky scene and the whole "street racing is art" discussion reminds me of the same kind of braindead hipster-meets-hypebeast writing that was in the new Saints Row. It's the epitome of corny and dated.
For me the biggest problem with newer nfs games is that they feel like an empty souless shell, just made because the previous game wasnt profitable enough. I tried NFS 2015 and i decided to get a refund less than a hour later..nothing there gave me any motivation to play, for me it was just a dark empty map. This is the same problem that i had with The Crew 2. I decided to buy it bacause i really enjoyed the original, making a lobby full of skyline drivers ragequit because i kept winning with a blue jeep wrangler is one of the things i will never forget..... But when i started to play the crew 2 i had the exact same feeling that i had with nfs 2015..a empty, generic game with the most annoying rubberbanding ai that i ever seen..gave up on it halfway thru the campaing... that game still collecting dust at my steam library..........
I feel like Unbound was to Heat was what Carbon was to Most Wanted. Just enough changes to be it's own thing but also just iterative enough to be largely dependent on the last game. Had a lot of fun and definitely my favorite nfs game from the last decade. I thought Heat was great but this improves so much on the core mechanics while still retaining the best parts of the last game. Plus I also loved most of the soundtrack as a hip hop fan first, so this was my shit. Hope criterion bring some really good updates to the game, I don't want to see another Heat situation.
Incredibly it seems like most people agree! I usually believe fanbases will hate videos talking shit about something but I guess everyone's fed up with it
I think Need For Speed should just focus less in stories and art style and more on tone, gameplay, races, maps, and cops. My favorites of the modern era need for speeds are Hot Pursuit, Most Wanted, and Rivals, all of which had little to no story at all but a pretty creative map, lots of creative races, cars with handling models that are fun to drive, and cops that will actually try to run you off the road. For stories and cutscenes, I just shut my brain off.
This comment comes from a fan which has played almost all NFS games including Unbound. I'm not commenting about the soundtrack or the graphic style since there are lots of videos and commentaries about the theme, but at this rate NFS Series need a complete restart of it's identity. EA being EA doesn't abandon the weird Frostbite engine instead of a new or modern one for graphics, car handling, physics, etc. Or why we have the exactly same car list from NFS Payback until now, with some few new additions like the Urus, Evira or the modern Countach. And probably a controversial topic, but it's time to leave fantasy USA cities and move to Europe or Asia. Do you imagine a NFS in Japan? With these new comic effects and some of tweaking they'll be perfect for actual Anime effects, or make them similar to Initial D. Anyway NFS to start from scratch again, and hope someday it turns better.
the thing is, the classic era had a decent successor with Hot Pursuit. The Black Box era never had a decent Most Wanted successor, Ghost era had bits and pieces here and there...
You have to be my fav content creator at the moment, im here since the thps4 video and i'm glad i didn't missed one video of yours, keep it up dude i'm cheering for you.
Honestly the more I see about Unbound the more I see that it's a weird combination of Pro Street and Heat all built around the basis that 2015 introduced. I like the customization and tuning, I like the way that racing is no longer "Drift > Grip because grip don't exist lol" and I like there being somewhat of a story. But ffs a silent protag and lack of "Hello fellow kids" modernized chatter would do numbers for this game, besides all the other fixes it needs like iunno a proper identity or somethin....
I mean maybe?? The series hasn't had a solid game for people to enjoy in quite a while but everything pre PS3 era is still heralded as a fantastic piece of media. If NFS was truly dead, people wouldn't be talking about it or making content on it.

Im sad NFS has been destroyed. I started playing the series with NFSII, NFS High Stakes to NFS Most Wanted - the first one. Then played NFS Payback and quit NFS for good.
Graffiti effects are actually great. It gives the game a unique personality and it make the sense of speed feels so satisfying and good. Also the graffiti style adds a cool vibe.
@@NFSBeast2365 Yeah. characters are worse. Actually, NFS 2015 has better characters compared to this. I was only referring about cel shaded parts. They could have done better than this actually. If you have seen that animation series called "Arcane" (based on League of Legends), then you may know that how powerful graffiti visuals are. They missed a great opportunity of bringing a more dark and cool NFS Game there.
"Killing the vibe" is a term I really hate to use, but it has never described NFS Unbound better when it comes to the dialogue and soundtrack. You get the rush of charging up Burst Nitrous to _Amir Obe - Wish You Well_, your racing lines in tune to the slow intoxicating beat, catching up to anyone ahead. As the song ends and you're immediately greeted to heavy breathing and moaning from _Tohji - Yodaka_, killed the vibe. Nevermind that, race finished, cutscene time, you expected some encouraging words but it's just Tess saying "bruh" for the 26th time. Killed the vibe. "Diversity" isn't the issue people think they found lacking, "cohesion" is. You can have many varied things but they mean nothing if they don't fit the overall style a game is going for.
I think Unboud missed some things and was unfair at its first version. But almost every thing i didn't liked about the game was fixed in Volume 2, like the unfair collision and rubber banding system, the drifting and some major bugs. But now, i think it is actually better than Heat. And this in my opinion, is a big deal
Maybe this will be a long comment and it will probably look more like a wishlist, but there I go: I would like a more unique street racing game, it doesn't matter if it's a NFS, a Midnight Club or a new series that just spawned, maybe a bit more similar to 2000s games, but with its own unique essence. I don't care if cars are licensed or not, the only thing that I would like if I can customse them and if there is off-roaders too (Off road vehicles are cool). A mix of urban and rural setting won't be bad for both city, highway and off-road racing Talking about graphics, it doesn't need to be realistic as long as it looks good and it's easy to recognise. I don't really know about narrative, but as long that it's a well-made and interesting story it's okay. And by last the sense of speed NEEDS to be good or else why it's called "racing game"?. Edit: I almost forgot about the most important thing: The quality Edit 2: I also forgot about the soundtrack. Well, that is more subjective, but some rock music would be perfect for me (and anything but NOT TRAP OR REGGAETON)
“You already have a feature in your game that’s useful/fun… why would you take it away?” Bro the COD community has been screaming that at activision for years. It’s an industry wide plague that delves way deep down into lead dev egos and shareholder wallets.
I do think that while Unbound wasn't perfect, it certainly could pave the way for racing games to evolve, to become more unique in their art style & mechanics since Unbound's art style stood out to me & therefore felt somewhat refreshing, but ofc there are flaws that would need to be ironed out as well...
I just wanna say that Need For Speed World has around 250 players online on server in evenings and on weekends, being 14 years old game, that was killed by EA and then revived by community modders.
5:47 It’s hilarious how they make players get the M3 GTR in Unbound by paying for an EA Play subscription instead of earning it at the end of the story like in Heat. So this says a lot. Typical EA. P.S this was a well thought out video. It’s refreshing to see more players and content creators speak up on the games flaws instead of trying to sugarcoat a $70 cash grab. Keep doing your thing and don’t be afraid to speak your mind!
The grip handling in heat was infinitely better than unbound. In unbound the car randomly tries to drift, and/or wobbles back and forth, which always ends in me crashing. Pair that with the horrible rubber banding and it’s miserable. The whole lead up to this game had me thinking it would be a cool story where asap rocky would be the villain or at least a main character, just to have him be a minimal side character lol
6:13 actually, it's in the pause menu under "Handling Tuning." It's now a pause menu thing instead of quick menu You CAN'T do it during a race, because it can technically impact your performance

Raycevick made a very good point about that topic
I would say that NFS' Golden Era is gone, not the whole genre. For me, NFS kinda doesn't have a place for itself in the market anymore: You want full-on simulation? Ascetto Corsa and iRacing. Want something still realistic but a bit more arcade? GT7 and FH5. Want a full-arcade racer? It's NFS and The Crew for ya. The few onl things NFS always had to itself were the prsentation and soundtrack, and they are starting to lose the soundtrack.

Toyota: (shows EA the dialogue that was made for the game that *explicitly* promotes illegal street racing, a crime that often results in property damage, injury, or death, or all of the above)
Now do you know why we don't our cars anywhere near your games?
Classic NFS games had the best story line. It goes like this:
You drive an exotic car in exotic locations and the police tries to stop you.
The end.
I don't know how to explain it,but there is something that the old nfs have that the new ones do not have
You don't get tired of replaying them, while the new ones are like "I finished it,I'm not going to touch it again"
part is us being adults now and having to worry about other stuff, the other is the fun factor having less and less attention by devs

and that argument that people complain because they are "bad" is the biggest stupidity there is
I honestly wish there there was more on what made Blackbox or old Criterion really good. The music was fun and energetic, fitting the themes of atmosphere with music we didn't even know existed.

Definitely get that. They say the Unite mod is pretty good though.
Who would have thought the community could fix 3 of their games.
When Burnout stops trying to appeal to Twitter and TikTok and using the Need For Speed name, things might start working out
I kinda wished they went back to the original games where canonically you're just a rich kid with access to these amazing cars outrunning the cops
The most depressing part is that they removed Ultimate parts.....
that was one of the most fun reasons to play Heat multiplayer
At this point whenever i see this blue-white BMW GTR M3 appearing in a NFS title, I feel like that car is for some reason cursed or haunted. Probably ever since its appearance in Most Wanted (2005). My theory? The car doesn't have a true owner by this point, the drivers take it as "a trophy", because it was probably the most famous car that beat the unbeatable Razor. It's a most wanted racing car amongst other racing cars that always exchanges drivers whenever someone loses.
Funny enough, in Unbound they don't even know the car. They don't praise it for being something cool, it's just like "uh okay, car delivered"
I get exactly what you say, it would be easier not to take these as canon but they clearly are supposed to be

And I’m glad I was still broke when it went on sale a few days later
You were spot on when you said the devs basically modded Heat. If this was instead released as an expansion to Heat and only charged $5-$10, people would probably like it.
Unbound is definitely worth it on sale.
Probably because it's never gonna be FIFA amounts of money honestly. Sad.

Burnout fans. Having mediocre games is better than having nothing.
Need for speed. I'm more of a burnout guy and while I want a new burnout, I'm glad there isn't another one because remember: EA. They own these franchise's and they have already butchered one and I don't want them to butcher the other one.

They should bring back POV protagonist like almost every older NFS, maybe he could talk but I can say it worked better when he was silent.
Sorry I don't like mute MC
NFS really needs a complete reboot.
Need For Speed has outlived its relevance. I'm not saying this to anger people but it's true. After 2015, the series hasn't recovered in any aspect (except for Heat which tried to).

Considering we'll never have a remaster of NFS Underground 1& 2, it seems like they're trying way too hard with the newer games. The storyline was way too predictable in Unbound. Very disappointing.

NFS is an ARCADE racer and always will be.
unbound devs saw into the spider verse and said yoooo

I feel like Unbound was to Heat was what Carbon was to Most Wanted. Just enough changes to be it's own thing but also just iterative enough to be largely dependent on the last game.
Good analysis. I've had NFS for about 13 years, and played the older ones before too.
the thing is, the classic era had a decent successor with Hot Pursuit. The Black Box era never had a decent Most Wanted successor, Ghost era had bits and pieces here and there...

Graffiti effects are actually great. It gives the game a unique personality and it make the sense of speed feels so satisfying and good. Also the graffiti style adds a cool vibe.
But honestly the characters are _waaay_ too cringe, even by NFS standards
@@NFSBeast2365 Yeah. characters are worse. Actually, NFS 2015 has better characters compared to this. I was only referring about cel shaded parts. They could have done better than this actually. If you have seen that animation series called "Arcane" (based on League of Legends), then you may know that how powerful graffiti visuals are. They missed a great opportunity of bringing a more dark and cool NFS Game there.
I really had high hopes for this game. The last one I really enjoyed was 2015 but I know that game had a lot of strange flaws as well.
Yo these videos are really well constructed man thanks for these !
thank you!
Maybe this will be a long comment and it will probably look more like a wishlist, but there I go:
I would like a more unique street racing game, it doesn't matter if it's a NFS, a Midnight Club or a new series that just spawned, maybe a bit more similar to 2000s games, but with its own unique essence.
I don't care if cars are licensed or not, the only thing that I would like if I can customse them and if there is off-roaders too (Off road vehicles are cool).
A mix of urban and rural setting won't be bad for both city, highway and off-road racing
Talking about graphics, it doesn't need to be realistic as long as it looks good and it's easy to recognise.
I don't really know about narrative, but as long that it's a well-made and interesting story it's okay.
And by last the sense of speed NEEDS to be good or else why it's called "racing game"?.
Edit: I almost forgot about the most important thing: The quality
Edit 2: I also forgot about the soundtrack. Well, that is more subjective, but some rock music would be perfect for me (and anything but NOT TRAP OR REGGAETON)
Using drift tires at higher classes makes cars uncontrollable 😂
The desync is the absolute worst
It's sad how everyone wants to see and play unbound but weeks later they hated it for some reason 😭

Bro the COD community has been screaming that at activision for years.
I literally remember playing for a solid hour then sat at the main menu for a good 10 minutes then proceeded to uninstall
Honestly Rivals was the last great NFS game to had deadliest cops and an amazing soundtrack. After Rivals the franchise had gone down.
I just wanna say that Need For Speed World has around 250 players online on server in evenings and on weekends, being 14 years old game, that was killed by EA and then revived by community modders.
Hell yeah New tag video
LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
6:15 the quick tune menu isn't taken out of the free roam, you can still use it if you pause. It's just not on the fly anymore.
It's just nostalgia bait.
Not the first time either, it was DLC for MW12 too
The grip handling in heat was infinitely better than unbound.
Bro doesn't know about traction control
@@spotlight9269 bro tried traction control and the physics still make the car pivot for a drift
I would like them to forget about the need for speed for a while, and try to make a new burnout, this is Criterion games after all...
6:13 actually, it's in the pause menu under "Handling Tuning." It's now a pause menu thing instead of quick menu
You CAN'T do it during a race, because it can technically impact your performance
you can pause the game and disable break to drift, you don't have to go back to the garage
One complaint I have about this game, which I think is very important to say. My PC runs Forza Horizon 5 on high, 60fps, without problems, but I can't run this game on midium or low without fps drops and cpu trotling, is impresive how bad is the optimization of Need For Speed series is
😂 i just laughed out loud on that question are you a rat or a beaver?😂😂😂😂😂 nice one👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Maybe I am out of touch but I want Need for Speed to take itself seriously again
that big corporation hit us with the "how do you do, fellow kids" that's what happened
Just hurts to see such a great game franchise get dragged through the mud.
At this point, we should have a petition to have the undergrounds and most wanted remastered like Toys for Bob did with Spyro and Crash
How hard can it really be to listen what people REALLY want..
Well last time they did that we got NFS 2015 and I feel that's the game that started NFS' decline to where we are now.
Been traveling since 16 hrs that's why couldn't see your video and there is really bad internet here sorry for the 2 day delay... keep up the good work 👏 ....
No problem! Thanks a lot!
sooooooo, there is no final boss race? that's disappointing .
