Explaining the UNO meme is a little bit of a challenge, think of the Altima meme in the USA, but it's an uber cheap car, companies (popularly called "firmas") like it a lot, and the ladder attached to it gives it infinite horsepower
So, to the Spanish audience, it's kinda like the Citroen C15, which was a van that companies used and it's known as being an inmortal car which gained the nickname "The french tank" for that lmao, that's why in Super Wooden GP II, a game whose dev is Spanish, there's one alongside a parody of the Renault Express, another super popular van in the past.

QR’s physics engine actually became WipEout’s physics engine from 2005 onwards Repulze on iOS actually has a story that eventually involves a planet exploding. It’s still available after over ten years
You ve just unlocked a memory for me with Top Gear 3000 I remember playing this game back in the day on the SNES but was so bad at it that i didnt even get beyond stage 3. Also welcome back my brotha
Top Gear literally made my brain thinks both on that BBC show and this game lmao (imagine if someone literally made an romhack for this, seeing Geoff crusing around the Top Gear Test Track in UK)
In Top Gear 2 (Top Racer 2) you can take corners fast if you enter the turn early enough. That means, when the road is straight you start turning. Works with every turn that is not insanely sharp as future races have. Also, in the first 4 races you can win them all if you use 2~3 nitros at start. You’ll get in the first positions and have nitro to spare or to overtake.
Damn, the Brazil vibe on your content is really cool. Bomberman, then Top Gear, that's amazing. Tomara q seu canal cresça muito mais, é otimo ver os gringos serem introduzidos a essas joias.
C Man, the Top Gear 2 music is amazing, I had forgotten how banger the San Francisco theme is. Knowing that Magnet Fields has a small part in what was Top Gear makes me happy, it was also the developer of another favorite game of mine, which was Rally Championship 2000. And without a doubt this channel has some of the best content on You Tube, thank you for not disappearing, my friend.
9:46 About that turning. Speaking from Genesis version of Top Gear 2, though. It's easier to turn when you let go of acceleration button. Music there is better too :P
Top Gear was my 1st Racing game and 1st Video game i ever played the whole series of Top gear games was my 1st racing games holy cow i never thought id ever get to play them again ever again :3
At @10:24 you hit the signs because you weren't on the right side of the track before entering the corner. Sometimes you even need to put part of the car off the track to have enough space to take it. And obviously, you can turn better if you're not accelerating.
Yoooo you are back! I've never played these series sadly but I played its spiritual successor Horizon Chase Turbo and absolutely loved it! Anyway, really nice video, I enjoyed it.
Thank you for making this video. I played Top Gear 1 and 2 on SNES all the time as a kid, and I had no idea this collection was out on Steam. Bought it immediately after I was done watching this. It was $20 very well spent. Playing this as an adult, Top Gear 2 is easier than I recall as a kid. I remember never being able to get anywhere close to first place, even on Amateur difficulty. I think my problem was I'd waste my money on armor upgrades early on. If you drive well and don't hit anything, you don't need armor. I'm doing a lot better now that I'm saving up all my money for the more important upgrades like nitros, gearboxes, and engines. Also as a kid I'd waste all my nitros at the start of the race. You can potentially get to the front of the pack quickly that way, but there's also a lot of traffic at the start of the race. You may end up running into an opponent and thus wasting your nitro shot. I've found it's better to take a more conservative approach. Wait a bit after the start of the race for traffic to thin out, then use a couple nitros to get past the pack. Then save your remaining nitrous shots for the longest straights on the course on each lap. I'm very consistently coming in 1st place with this strategy.
Im suprised you didnt mention that LOTUS 2 RECS for the Sega Genesis is basically like a prototype of Top Gear 3000, all the way down to having futuristic tracks and strips on the tracks that give your temporary powerups! and that one lets you build your own race tracks too! you should look into that one!
You're right, Top Racer 2's music is really good. It's funky, I like it. Is this really just Top Gear but they changed the name? Interesting, I might pick it up.
Top Racer is the original name for the game, in Japan it was always called that but apparently they had to change it now because the rights for the name Top Gear is of course, with the Top Gear tv series
That makes sense. I found the same info when I looked it up lol. Turns out I already have the roms of these OG games, they came with an emulator machine I bought a while back. So I played Top Gear 1 and it kicked my ass lol, but Top Gear 2 is really my speed. Already had lots of fun with it.
Top Gear 2 is the VERY first game i've ever played in my life, so yes, i freaking love it. Safe to say, this game made me fall in love with racing games
I'm guessing the devs all had an F in geography, hence why Mexico was put in South America. >.> Also, I remember Lotus 2 for Sega Genesis had an option to create randomly generated tracks based on player's choices. It was quite impressive for an early 90's game.
that's actually pretty awesome, I remember a game I used to play where you could make your own tracks but randomly generating one must add SO MUCH replayability
When I see this channel I see my childhood because all of the games shown here (save two or three) I have played them long, long ago. It's great to see someone else enjoyed them as much as I did.
Top Gear is great, and I find it so funny that us Brazilians got so much attachment to it. Hope you get to look at the other games in the series, my favorite is Top Gear Overdrive on the N64
I have legit played the crap out of TG2 and TG3000. In 2 you can nearly take all corners at full speed....Athens is one of them. The trick for cornering in TG2 is just knowing the track and turning well before the corner/cutting the corner if possible. Also in 2 the longer your dont steer after your nitro runs out the longer you hold your speed. For TG3000 is like 2 just on drugs. The progression system is awesome giving you stage 6 parts making the car SOO dam fast. If you did get to experience "true" max speed the engine sound on the SNES would clip and totally turn off. I do love that in TG3000 you get rewards for driving better/clean too with the A,C,D,E bonus. The music in TG2 is what legends are made of. Total banger all the time and feels soo good when you nail a perfect nitro into some corners. But the music in TG3000 is amazing in it own right. The track "Results" is still to this day one of my favorite ever. Thank you Neil Biggin for that. Also i own the originals on SNES and TG2 is my favorite and i do own the new collection too. Looks like an interesting series, my only prior experience with it is Top Gear Rally on the GameBoy Advance. Seems the second game is available on Sega Genesis, so might have to pick that up. I'm sure it probably makes more sense to just buy this collection for PC, but I like collecting old stuff.
Top Gear reminds me of the OG Shutoko Battle, back when newly revolutionized genres were copy pasted. FPS to Doom, whoever started this format lf racers to racers.
The Nintendo 64 also had Top Gear games too. However, they were rally games. Top Gear Rally and Top Gear Rally 2 were released about a year apart I think. The last Top Gear game ever made for consoles that I know of was Top Gear: RPM Tuning, (but don't quote me on that). It was a Need For Speed Underground ripoff, and wasn't that good.

You sure thats the amstrad version of lotus? Looks kinda like the spectrum or something. Usually the amstrad is colourful, albeit slow, although is based off spectrum hardware; so you could be right as there are spectrum ports that are not taking advantage of the amstrad colour thus looking like the spectrum but running slower.... plus I think you showed c64 version when talking of atari sound ......few rookie mistakes....meh - oh well. That just shows i need to get out more knowing this.
@@BlooTeg looks like they just ported the spectrum version straight over then - without using the amstrad colour (identical system basically but slower cpu higher colour - trade one fir another) A lot of that went on on the amstrad; but not the other way round as spectrum couldn't do the colour. Oops on the script 😆

Urm this isn't road trip adventure for the playstation 2™...
good point. I should have called it "NEW"
You sure thats the amstrad version of lotus?
Looks kinda like the spectrum or something. Usually the amstrad is colourful, albeit slow, although is based off spectrum hardware; so you could be right as there are spectrum ports that are not taking advantage of the amstrad colour thus looking like the spectrum but running slower.... plus I think you showed c64 version when talking of atari sound
......few rookie mistakes....meh - oh well. That just shows i need to get out more knowing this.
nah that's pretty impressive haha
but yes, that's the amstrad version of the game!
also you're right about the atari/c64, I think that was my bad on the scripting!
@@BlooTeg looks like they just ported the spectrum version straight over then - without using the amstrad colour (identical system basically but slower cpu higher colour - trade one fir another)
A lot of that went on on the amstrad; but not the other way round as spectrum couldn't do the colour.
Oops on the script
😆
Tá ai um topgear que me deu uma satisfação de ter zerado, embora tenha sido no emulador, porque eu tinha o cartucho dele porém só funcionava até a intro do jogo e depois dava tela preta infinita 😥.
triste história que todos passamos
If I was a game company I'd give you all my games for free now ^^

2024 in a nutshell.

Top gear 3000 licensed by bleem! Ha! Bleem was an emulator that allowed you to play PlayStation games on your dreamcast! How strange.
Right? I asked the devs about it and they said it's their partnership with PIKO Interactive, which is now also known as Bleem!
@@BlooTeg strange because the logo is identical to bleem on the dreamcast
I think they might have bought the rights for it? I'm not sure, it is the same Bleem apparently
im buying it now!
you're not gonna regret it!
