    The video talks about the logical relationships between two activities which is exemplified comprehensively. The activities which is independent that just happen or not bounded by a relationship is predecessor and the dependent activity on which a rule is applied is called successor activity.
    Whenever we apply a relationship the successor activities get constrained.
    The four types of logical relationships are applied to two activities:
    • Finish-to-start (FS)
    • Finish-to-finish (FF)
    • Start-to-start (SS)
    • Start-to-finish (SF)

    Nicely explained; however if look at FTF (Finish to Finish) .. lets say Broadcasting ( B) started before Match (A) however; Broadcasting ( B) cannot finish till the time A is finished . So in FTF relationship there cannot be Lead from finishing perspective because Broadcasting cannot finish before match is finished!

    Hi Saket, I am watching your videos and found them very informative. Keep it up. While explaining SS relationship, you mentioned B can start 2 days in advance. I am confused if B has relationship of SS with A then B cannot start before A, how B can start 2 days in advance in case of lead because A has not started yet. Please explain.

    • @izenbridge
      @izenbridge  9 лет назад +3

      That is the difference between SS without lead and with lead, so when we have lead , we start in advance but the start date is based on expected start date of predecessor activity, in this example A, please join us on forum, we did discuss many SS type of network diagrams and you can post more forum.izenbridge.com

    The relationship Start-to-Finish is really confusing. I am not confident whether I have grasped the gist of the concept. But is it right that Activiy B can finish on day 2 providing that the activity A starts immediately after Activity B is finished?
    Thanks for expounding in advance!

      Thank you Dulsa, for exploring our video. The least common relationship is the start-to-finish relationship. Predecessor must start before Successor can finish

    Dear Mr. Saket
    I am struggling with lead and lag questions.though I have understood the concept but when I try practicing it; Questions make me confuse and I take so much time to identify the relationship and then making out if its lag or lead.
    Please guide. Thank you

      We agree it gets confusing when you calculate, In PMP exam nowadays you do not get confusing questions around this topic though. we still recommend you to share your questions at forum.izenbridge.com

    Dear Sir,
    Activity B cannot finish before Activity A starts. If activity A starts on day 3 how can activity B finish on day 2 - I seriously did not understand.

    • @izenbridge
      @izenbridge  5 лет назад +1

      Hi Vikas,
      Thank you for exploring our video. As per the example in this video The relationship used is FS (Finish to Start) at 4:35 the Activity A is Finishing on Day 5 and Activity B is starting on Day 6.
      In case of Lead and Lag the Early Start date can be changed so in the case of 2 days Lead the ES of Activity B can be Day 4 instead of Day 6.
      Please share the video duration where "A starts on day 3 how can activity B finish on day 2"

    lead can be in SS relationship???

    • @izenbridge
      @izenbridge  5 лет назад

      Thank you!! Ehsan for exploring our content. Please elaborate on your question.
      Start-to-start (SS) is a logical relationship in which a successor activity cannot start until a predecessor activity has started.
      You can refer to the following blog for more details on this topic:
