This teacher is a ROCK STAR! I was stuck with EVM and these 30 minutes I spent on EVM were the most clarifying minutes for a very complex and nerve wracking topic. Very good explanation and with the example, it made 100% sense. BRILLIANT PROFESSOR! Saket Bansal is the best!!

Hello Saket, Sir Today I passed my PMP exam, I would like to Thank you a ton and particularly like to accredit this achievement to the videos and presentation you have made it available to us ... After going through those video sessions my thought processing has broadened up and everything became crystal clear to me ... The exam is like one of a heck where everything was built on a scenario-driven set of questions but only because I was able to think through I could manage to get over across the lie ... and this clarity in thoughts came only because of the presentations you guys have supplied.
So thank you for doing this!

Awesome presentation. Your energy level gets us to keep focused :)
The graph and relating it to what we get out of each metrics is really useful and provides the usage.
    Just 2 comments:
    1) If you can explain the EAC type 3 and type 4 with example case it would have been very useful and complete. ex. the cost for engineer is same 1100 per day and the desktop installation per day is 11 as we cracked the problem faced in the day2.
    2) Also matching the same example you have taken in the beginning till the end it would have been quite easy to understand.

Excellent articulation of EVM basics. One suggestion - Try to upload high quality video and high resolution and increase room lights while shooting because formulas written on board are not clearly visible.

A great video ! Bansal, you have left out one performance measure in your disucssion - Variance at completion. VAC = BAC minus EAC. The VAC for the first two scenarios that you discussed is as follows:
    I scenario : BAC minus EAC = 12000 minus 13300/- = (-)1300 which is negative variance
II scenario : BAC minus EAC = 12000 minus 20000 = (-) 8000 which is again negative variance.

A planned value is assigned to each LOE task for each measurement period , and this planned value is credited as EV at the end of measurement period, since EV is getting credited in line with PV LOE activities will not have a schedule variance, but it can have cost variance.
In exam i do not expect cacluation question on EV for LOE , but the understanding of this may get tested, In real life this is one of the challenge of implementing EVM in projects.

I love this videos you post, they have made understanding concepts so easy. Some clarification is needed on this one though. in computing EAC using BAC/CPI i got lost on how we derived at the CPI as .6. Anyone knows?
