For the successful project outcome, the engagement of stakeholders plays a vital role. You can engage them well if you make efforts to discover who all are they, what are their needs and what are their expectations. There can be many categories of stakeholders which may come but not limited to:
- People who will use it
- People can give subject matter knowledge
- People who are funding the project
- People who will receive business benefits
- People who will implement the solution
- People who are interested in the outcome and are involved in some way in the project
In summary, if someone has any form of interest in the project or is affected by the project outcome, they are your project’s stakeholders.

Sir thank you for this video. I just noticed that Procurement Documents are included as inputs in your video. I checked the PMBOK 6th Ed. and I cannot find it there as inputs. What I can see is Business Document. Is this the same with procurement documents? Thank you in advance for giving light on this question.

Procurement documents usually include those documents which are related to the contractual relationship between the customer and the supplier of goods or services. These documents may help in understanding stakeholders. In PMBOK6, project documents are also input, and the examples given explicitly are not only documents that can help you in identifying stakeholders. These are just an example; this is not a complete list.
