Marvin watching jacob on RUclips is awsome!
Goliath - inverted coaster. With suspended roller coasters the trains/seats would be able to move around more freely while on inverted coasters they are completely still, attached to the wheel carriage and cannot do that at all - but both are the kinds where "your feet dangle". 😬👍🏼
And, yep, Jacob, you're correct with your memory about the meaning when it comes to Six Flags. ! ~
Coaster lore
The Six Flags were the six that governed Texas (Spain, France, Mexico, Republic of Texas, The United States of America, & The Confederate States of America) founded in 1957 and began building in 1960.
I remember when Fiesta Texas was all by itself out there. It was 90's San Antonio and nowadays it's all developed out that way.
I live about a mile away from the park and moved there when it was still owned by the working quarry across IH10. The parcel where the park sits was sold to USAA and an upscale mall was to be built except the economy tanked. Fiesta Texas was opened with the emphasis on music and each area had themes with musical/dancing venues. We were season pass holders for years but the themed areas declined as did the musical shows.
My biggest criticism for Fiesta Texas for a while was their lack of themeing. Apparently, I wasnt the only one that saw this problem, because about 5 years ago was when they really started upping their themeing game. They completely redid the queue line for Poltergeist and made it way better, the Joker has amazing themeing, Dr. Diabolical as well. They've really started trying to make a much more emersive expirience for everyone.
The theming for the roller coasters isn’t that great now that I think about it, but the theming of the actual park itself is the best I’ve seen out of any six flags I’ve been to so far. The Fiesta theme when you first walk in is beautiful, the 50’s theming in the area where the Batman is is awesome looking, the German looking area is also quite nice, and the board walk is cool as well. Not to mention that the park is surrounded by a beautiful quarry.
I prefer the old six flags fiesta Texas because the theme for fiesta Texas is well I guess was Warner bros and justice league therefore the Scooby doo ride was just fine there was no need to remove it along with all the other rides they removed to make room for the stupid justice league rides it’s seriously upsetting 🙄😠😠
Absolutely LOVING this recent content! Cranking out the videos day after day is amazing but dont burn out man 😂
Great video Jacob. It may interest you to know that the coaster you talked about at the beginning - Goliath - is one of the few attractions that was saved from the abandoned Six Flags New Orleans after that park flooded. It was called Batman the Ride before it was relocated to Fiesta Texas. Definitely a bucket list park for me!
I honestly had no clue, that they rescued any of the big rides from New Orleans. I assumed the water wouldve just totaled out the ride, entirely. Thanks for this info!
@@Sparty-pi3jq From what I had heard years ago, there were only two roller coasters from Six Flags New Orleans that were rescued. One was this that became Goliath and the other was a family ride that is now themed to the Road Runner from Looney Tunes, and it is located in Six Flags Magic Mountain.
I didn't know that Six Flags has DC that long ago
That theme park was my whole childhood and my dad was crazy about it good memories.
Who else agrees that jake needs merch that says
“Hey you all”.
Six Flags Fiesa Texas is the best Six Flags park in the chain
Fun fact: Goliath is originally Batman from Six Flags New Orleans
I was one of the architects who designed Fiesta Texas. I designed the German area and the train stations.
“Tune in again. Same bat time, same bat channel!”
4:21 Daffy is sassy
5:35 they call it the Boomerang at Six Flags Darien Lake too but it's blue and yellow not red and green.
The six Flags represent Spain, France, Mexico, the Republic of Texas, US and Confederate States of America. All six have governed Texas at some point in time.

my local six flags
imagine Marvin has Jacob's videos playing on his big monitor while he is searching for planets to take over.
San Antonio resident here, the "Six Flags" that have flown over Texas are: Spain, Mexico, France, Republic of Texas (now the Texas state flag), Confederacy, and the US flag. Fiesta Texas was given a German area because of the large German population and culture in and around San Antonio.
To answer your question about the German themed area, Central and Southern Texas was settled by many German and Czech immigrants before, during, and after the Texas revolution. If you look very closely you can find hints that prove that
Thank you for posting! I have been on vacation stuck at home with a sprained ankle. I want so badly to be able to go outside, travel, see amusement parks and ride some rides. But I'm all cooped up I'm my apartment cause my ankle is still healing. Summer vacation actually ruined. Thanks for sharing your travels with us so consistently. Makes my day every time.
That Bugs Bunny dragon cartoon is hilarious! I love seen the references to it!
I visited it back in it's original Fiesta Texas days, I have fond memories of the musical acts!
Lol. Jacob, you're lucky it's only 100 degrees !! This whole last 10 days have been 102 - 105. Crazy hot. Stay hydrated, dude !!
The department of redundancy department approves of your phrase 'queue-line'.
Jacob, I am loving the summer of carousels! Also, thank you so much for my Cameo birthday message. Wishing you safe travels on that long, lonesome highway.
👍👍👍👍👍 Jacob, the roller-coaster that has the Coaster cars hanging under the track is an inverted Coaster.
I look forward to your videos every day. Keep up the good work CB.
Good Afternoon Jacob 🙋🏽.
We live nearby and see plenty of people losing cellphones on the rides as they try to film. They won’t even let you keep a tight fitting ball cap on so a GoPro wouldn’t likely be allowed. We went a few days ago and someone a few rows in front of us was recording the ride on the Rattler and when he lost his grip it luckily missed the people behind him. As you climb to get to the ride you can always see lost items on the roofs of nearby structures. Losing your camera/phone affects you, but if it hits someone in the face or eye, it can cause a lot of different damage.
Wonderful video as always Jacob!
Watching a Carpetbagger video on RUclips is always makes my day SOO much easier 😁😁
Hi jacob😊 I love seeing all the amusement parks your taking us too! Good times ❤. Thank you for always taking us with you! I travel with you ❤
Always enjoyable seeing your videos. Thank you.
Went in October and it was still hot to be outside
Thank you for braving the heat for us!!
sweet vid. I was amazed by the Wave Swinger Ride. The hero theming and art and lighting, that is something else. This to me is Six Flag's best-looking park.
It’s a suspended roller coaster. lol Love the Content.
All of the Batman inverted coasters in Six Flags are the layout as Goliath and Great White.
Jacob thanks for showen all parks i wish i could go. I would pay but its great you show whats out there i missed ❤
Always luv the carousel segment too😊😊
I’ve been loving all the theme park videos! ❤ I will say, though, I’m missing you showing what you eat while there. I usually like seeing what you get to eat, too. 😁
That looked super fun! Love seeing all the six flags parks. Would really enjoy seeing all the midway carnival type games they have to.
Hello! Hope your doing well! Love watching your videos! They make my day!
Dangle? The angle of the dangle is in direct proportion to the heat of the street!
I like the roller coaster videos
Meow Wolf, now Six Flags. I'm so glad you're visiting Texas. I reside in Dallas, but just knowing you're out and about in the state makes me proud. Thanks Carpetbagger.
Great video!
Coming from a guy who works at the company that maintenances these rides, I love to see people enjoy them and do what they are supposed to do. They may not be the safest bunch of coasters but they sure are dang fun lol!
Luv six flags. Have fun and stay cool. Keep hydrated.looks like a fun day. Cheers 😊❤!
I love going to six flags during the week. I went last month on a Tuesday! I got on every ride twice. Iron rattler 3 times 😮💨
I was just there this past weekend and man the heat nearly made us pass out
Awesome that you got to see Marvin he is one of my favorite and hard to find. I live in Texas been here for 12 years now yes very hot but can start storming out of nowhere has hail here in Vernon Texas yesterday before this i lived in the high desert in Barstow California the heat there was very different
Another great day!!!!....
Go during the holiday season, it’s a beaut!!
Hey CB loving your videos!
i haven't been to six flags for a while it looks so good now
My home park!
It makes my day when the carpetbagger is in my hometown
Great video
That is a massive Pendulum- No thank you I will stick with coasters. I rode Poltergeist when it used to have a basic boring queue. The new queue looks awesome. The sound that Goliath makes gives you an awesome sensory feeling walking into the park.
Thank you Jacob for showing me Six Flags in Texas. It was really cool I like the themes as you said the Q lines are really cool though I don’t like a lot of those rides such as you but I commend you for going on any roller coaster as you always do you’re my hero.❤❤❤❤❤
I live in San Antonio, so this is perfect for me.
We usually see multiple weeks in the 100s in July and into August. Make sure you wear sunscreen for sure.
That pool table ride look like it was a lot of fun
Awesome thanks for sharing this love it was a wonderful place ❤️❤️❤️😎👍🙏😘💕😊💖💗💝☺️
Hey from Denver!
I saw you filming the billiards themed ride. My family was on the ride. I was right next to you but had never seen your channel before. So cool.
Hi jacob. Love this six flags park❤
Love the Everly Brothers in the background in the 50s area.
I watched today n yesterday while you were at SeaWorld n Sixx Flags and did not see one dark ride at all!!! Dark rides are the backbone of amusement parks n carnivals and it is sad to see these giant conglomerate theme parks have threw them aside for a bunch of roller coasters!!! I truly love all the older parks that remind me of the traveling carnival that would come to town for a few days to whisk excitement into our lives!!!!
Those cues were really good, I think a cue is also partnered of the attraction. I hope you're drinking plenty of h20 being in this heat dome! Yesterday, up here ks we are having temps in the 100s also with high dew point. Thanks for the great job you do!
I used to work there and yes its hot in summer. The bugs bunny flume ride is my fav.
Love your videos 📹 Jacob.
I was hoping you would show the Cliff Hanger. That q is AMAZING!!!!
very nice dude
Jacob I love your videos I mean their incredible all the different places you been now it makes me want to go visit all the places to I mean it’s amazing I love your channel and will forever love it I watch your channel like all the time
I went at the beginning of June. The crowds were kinda slow, and the heat was alright for the San Antonio area. I would suggest going at that time rather than the middle of July.
Thanks for posting so many awesome videos! I'm especially enjoying the Summer of Carousels! One note of clarification for you: the "steampunk wagon" you saw was actually a hearse.
You need to find some nice cool indoor places to visit. There are plenty of nice museums in San Antonio.
Oh my! You missed 2 of the main steel coasters. Great video though! Thanks for coming to Texas. The weather is a lot better around April, May, Oct, Nov.
Similar temperatures in the Netherlands here, between 86 F (30 Celcius) and 93 F (34 Celcius).
So there are two Six-Flags parks in San Antonio! i agree with you on the very nice theming and distraction in the queues.
The Bug's White Water Rapids ride is based on Bugs Bunny's only Oscar winning film "Knighty Knight Bug's"
My mother and I were there in the 90s and there were music in all the sections. There weren't loony tunes characters. Germany was represented because there was Germans living in an area of San Antonio that has beautiful late 19th century mansions. Mariachi bands playing and a 50s themed section. It was fun back then.
Hello my friend thank you Again for an amazing video
You have chosen another I’ll tempered animal with a tendency to bite.
If your tractor could fly you could plow the fields and also crop-dust with it.
I was door dashing around that whole area yesterday,I had a feeling you would be there, also on the other side of the Superman coaster is a big outdoor mall area called La Cantera, great shops and restaurants. Hopefully you had some good food while you were in town!
Hope you made a lot of money! :) Doordash orders have been pretty scant in my area recently hopefully it’s alright for you
I miss when that wasn't there, the views from superman used to be way better, now instead of trees you see people shopping x(
If you find yourself back near Memphis, you should come visit the Memphis Zoo! The zoo is great and we have a carousel in the China area!
Goliath got some good dangles 👍🤘🔥 🎢
Cool video. I work here as a ride operator
IF you decide to visit Six Flags, Mexico, let me know. I'd love to meet with you.
2:54 Republic of Texas flag was forgotten for the Six Flags logo. Texas was actually their own country from 1836 to 1845, then became part of the United States afterwards.
MR. Amusement park 🇺🇸 thanks for your channel and sharing all your adventures with us love the channel ❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
When it first opened, it was part owned by USAA ins. Co. and when I was an employee back then of USAA Ins. Co.they gave us free passes to go into the park to test it. It has come a long way.
Jacob, Marvin the Martian recognized you. That's peak RUclips celebrity there.
So glad to see you wearing a hat that provides some protection from the sun.
i think they'd allow a secure strapped on gopro or one of those camera glasses
We have a six flags over Midwest. In st Louis Fenton ,Missouri
The car in the poltergeist line kinda reminded me of the Were-Car episode of Futurama. Great video as always Jake
The original six flags Mexico, Spain, France, The Confederacy, Texas, and the United States, each of which had their own themed sections within SFOT.
You missed the Daredevil Dive que line! There’s a lot of cool stuff in there.
Love the Bugs Bunny theme
