@@filmstarterproductions I expect when the landscaping grows in it will look pretty different. It’s kind of an EPCOT World Showcase layout, with a loop around a body of water. It’s surprisingly well thought out, even with bypass paths that skip some of the lands. Very weird to find such a nicely designed brand new park from folks who have never made a theme park before.

I really think that flying ride looks fun. You can control the alerons to make the planes flip around.
Gawd that kid that kept yelling hands up was driving me nuts! Your on a ride that bizarre your hanging on for dear life, even if your strapped in.
That being said, the place does have some unique features and rides.
My hands would have been either wrapped around the safety bar or over my mouth because I would be ready to throw up.

I hope so, their water park is always packed. I think once they start with season passes, I think it will be a lot busier. And they didn't open til almost the end of June.

Ooh, yes! And I hope we get the Halloween-themed opening back. That was my favorite. I never get tired of "AHH! COMPRESSED AIR!" LOL!!!!
This is such a cool and unique theme park. I hope it is here to stay! I do hope they can add some trees though. It looks a little bare without some trees or themed decor. I know they had a little bit of decor, but with the flat land they built it on adding some tall things to break that could do some good.
this park looks gorgeous! fresh, clean, newly-painted. the purple area is especially pretty. i'm hoping it isn't destined to be another hard rock/freestyle music park.

I love seeing a "new" park that has totally unique rides & theming, and not just huge thrill seeking rides like boring gigantic steel coasters targeting millennials.
Although I live more than 1000 miles away, I have a relative 2 hours away. If I make it out to the area, definitely will plan on visiting this park. I hope the park is a huge success, and that other parks will be inspired to offer original rides that are appealing to a wide range of people, not just the big thrill seekers.

I follow a theme park enthusiast based in the UK. I believe the ride at 20:30 is referred to as an air race. I've seen several on his channel.
I'm really glad you went here. I was very curious about the park. The theming is absolutely stunning throughout the park. I hope it's a big success. Nopuko is a stock Vekoma suspended looping coaster, often called a "hang and bang" because of how rough they usually are. But this one has a different restraint system that looks much more comfortable.
I rode it and the first inversion practically gives me a cuncussion lol

What a lovely park
The Lost Island had poor attendance this 1st year and decided to close early. That green launch coaster did not open on time and they had some other ride issues too. It looks to have absolutely zero shade so that scared people off during July and August. It has so much potential!
They closed when they did because of staffing.

That Dark Ride Is Probably One Of The Best Ones I've Seen In A While!! My Favorite One Was At Miracle Strip Park In Panama City Florida!!! It's Been 25 Years Since I've Been In It, They Also Had That Walk In Haunted Hause, Hands Down Best Amusement Park

Cool that you got to see it before they closed early for the season. I hope its not a permanent closure. I was excited to see an original concert theme park especially in a region you wouldn’t expect like Iowa.
The Octopus ride with the Fish was adorable. I like how different sections of the park had different themes. Didn't look crowded. No long waiting lines. I liked this park. It looked very inviting.
I’ve been on a Glider ride similar to that. Love those Kinds of Rides where you have total Control so I always like to turn with the ride and Hold an Angle to make it feel like I’m truly Flying around. And Then again I always make sure to Incorporate a Few Flips into the ride. Because I sometimes transition from an Angle hold on my glider into a Flip.
Ok, I've never seen that purple ride either! That kinda looks like fun!

I have never heard Jacob try to rationalize his reason for a ride so much
I recently moved from Waterloo but was there when the park was being built. The log flume ride won't be open for a while as it caught fire during construction and they're dealing with insurance. A construction worker left an electric blanket plugged in overnight and most of the queue burned down.
I wish the dark rides would stick to the animatronics. Enough with shooting games in a dark ride. But all and all very cool!

The three headed monster in the dark ride seems to be a recurring thing in Sally shooting dark rides, there are two similar ones on two other rides by them. Cerberus in el Laberinto del Minotauro (Labrynth of the Minotaur) in Terra Mítica, Spain and a three headed jackal in Challenge of Tutankamon in Walibi Belgium

The closed roller coaster , there was a fire there in March and the control panel building was damaged and they are waiting on parts to get it fixed.
The fire was in the flume ride control and queue building. The green coaster was the one waiting for parts.
that is a cute theme park, plus looks like they have a lot of room to grow. I am so ready for the Kansas State Fair that Sept 9 and runs for 9 day. I am craving my fair food the Pronto pup, Our Lady of Gaudalupe catholic church Mexican food and South hutch methodist church chicken and noodles, oh and the roasted ear of corn my mouth is drooling now. well I hope you can make it. I have received many compliments with my no scares on Stairs pin. keep up the great work

Love the video, thanks for coming to Lost Island Themepark and sharing your experience. Mantiguni the green coaster and the log flume will be open next season. 2023. There were supplied chain issues that delayed that ride. Please come back again in a few years to see how this park grows.
Trivia point… Waterloo, Iowa is the Birthplace and Boyhood home of VISION PICTURES Movie Mogul WILL REID… and was the longtime location of VISION PICTURES before Reid’s and VPs recent relocation to near Baltimore

Volkanu is a great dark ride. I had fun working the queue of that ride a few days this summer (including in your video). The flying ride was the Amara Aviators. Matugani (the green coaster) was not open this summer but should be next year.
The green coaster doesn't have all of its parts yet and the log flume caught fire end of winter and they have been working on re building it. They also have a water park across the way.
