  • BREVILLE SMART OVEN AIR - NO OIL AIR FRYING - PLANT BASED
Breville Smart Oven Air product demonstration and how to Air Fry veggies and potatoes without any oil in the Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer. - By Tami Kramer - Nutmeg Notebook -
    It's quick easy and healthy.....
This past May we purchased the Breville Smart Oven Air - it is an incredible kitchen appliance. It’s a toaster oven on steroids! Seriously this appliance bakes, broils, roasts, reheats, works as a slow cooker, toaster, has a pizza setting, is an air fryer and a dehydrator! It almost sounds too good to be true but in this case it is all true. My friend Shayda was here one weekend and we played with the Breville and she went home and bought one. Then she asked me to make a video showing how to use it and being the people pleaser that I am of course I made a video. You can purchase the Breville Smart OVEN Air at Bed Bath & Beyond - they will accept the 20% off store coupon. It’s also available at Williams Sonoma and if you open up a credit card you get a discount. It’s also on Amazon Prime with free shipping! @@NutmegNotebook Why didn't you say you're compensated for advertising the Breville brand? Honesty builds trust. Not the other way round. That's important, IMO, especially when promoting an excellent product.

Thank you, Tami. Wonderful thought out detailed review. No more going out to the grill or roasting in the reg oven, yippie. My mouth was water straight through this video. I too am a batch cook. You sold me immediately. I am just so excited knowing how many more veggies I will eat. I've been researching countertop convection ovens for the past few days, and this was THE BEST review of Breville Smart Oven Pro. This video convinced me to purchase this model. I love the idea of air frying veggies without any oil or seasonings. The brown rice air fry veggie 'eggroll'! GREAT idea. Lots of good tips and demonstrations of how to cook in the oven to maintain the integrity and beauty of the vegetables!!! This is what I was looking for and how I plan on using the oven. THANK YOU!

This is the very best demo on an air fryer with food I've ever seen. I just bought a mini Breville toaster oven-space issues. But in the near future I will again try an air fryer. I had a high-end brand that gave out after 3 years. I love to see the food fixed with no oil. I had the smell of oil all over my home. This is fabulous for a plant based diet. I have been using the smart oven pro for about 6 years now and haver decided to upgrade to this model for the air frying and dehydrating. I also wanted to use full size muffin pans and dutch ovens. I have always loved how accurate it is and its works fantastic. Just an FYI, the top is actually a plate warmer.; ( an Australian thing I guess... LOL), but the cutting board is a great thing to have so you can use the top for storage. nice video thanks for the demo.

Thank You Tammy. We just purchased this smart Breville for a gap without mw or range until delivery. You have demonstrated how useful it is. We have thus far baked steaks, fish in foil, fresh vegetables in smaller slices, chunks, with olive oil & broth, covered, steamed till we see the broth boil. We've airfied turkey bacon on roastpan, under 4 slices of toast beside a mini casserole of 2 eggs+1eggwhite + 1 Tb almond milk & spices stirred, Airfried at 420° super convection, 12 min. & toast outs earlier. Im about to try oatmeal for 2 servings + almond milk,+ 1 Tb shredded unsweeted coconut+ 1 Tb almond flour + cinnamon & vanilla spices & see how long in a glass casserole on 'Airfry or Bake' will it take to cook. Your Airfry vegetables will be roasted next. I think I'll be ready for our mock indoors 'camping' week. Seems when the new mw & gas range arrive, they may be used less than this smart oven. BTW, we purchased the cutting board, will call co. to purchase second tray.

Love that it is slightly bigger and can use more accessories that I could only use in a regular oven. I have used the Air-Fryer mode now a few times and I love it. You are right no need to use seasoning. And the food tastes great! Trying my best to stick to a plant-based diet and this Air-Fryer helps a great deal in doing that. 👍👍👍 on the video.

In watching this video more than once, I cannot seem to catch the time for cooking each vegetable. Is that available, maybe a time chart for air frying? Really love your recipes and your positive energy.

I don't know if you still can read the comments of this four year old video. I received my Breville today and it was on sale so thank you for emailing your Nutmeg Notebook blog subscribers notice of the sale. I have been using a $100 Oster oven air fryer that does not hold many of my cooking dishes so I'm looking forward to using the Breville for many things, including dishes my husband and I might be competing over oven space on Thanksgiving... but not now! I am thankful I have this oven now. It was a treat to myself.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful demonstration on this awesome kitchen appliance! I was wondering if you’ve ever tried air frying roasted chickpeas in this. And how they turned out if you did. Thank you in advance.

I have made chickpeas in the air fryer and they turned out good! Great reminder that I should do a video on them - thank you! Be sure to subscribe to our blog and get 2 exclusive recipes for subscribers only at www.nutmegnotebook.com

I have used the Breville Smart Oven Air EVERY DAY and barely use my regular oven since I got it. The unit is AWESOME!

Thanks for the great demonstration. I've just had to return my brand new Microwave 3in1 as it was faulty and Sage/Breville say there are no spares for months. I've been considering this Smart Oven Air instead, but also looking at conventional air fryers which are a lot cheaper. I love the standard size/look of the Smart Oven though. One thing which worries me is that it seems to take so long to air fry instead of traditional cooking. and at 2500watts I wonder if it is in fact any more economical. Asparagus steams in about 2 minutes and mushrooms fry in about 5 minutes, sprouts boil in 3 minutes - but it takes so much longer in the air fryer.

I use my Breville much more than my convection oven.I saw one lady put a oven rack covered in foil below the air fryer on a lower level to catch oil during cooking.

We don’t need to do that as we don’t use any oil.

so we made beef tips on our second try using our revile smart over air fry mode but the pan that came with the over isn't big enough to catch all the drippings.. do you only use the bottom of the air fryer to catch the drippings or did you purchase an additional pan to catch the grease that falls.? thank you so much for your video! it was very helpful! revile should give you some compensation! you are marvelous!

Thank you so much for this video It helped us feel confident in purchasing this We love it except I was wondering if you have any tips for cleaning the air fryer baskets they occasionally get burnt debris in between the mesh and they are very difficult to clean.

Thank you! I was really interested in this oven until you started air frying. Wow! It was so noisey. Using it on a daily basis that noise would be very frustrating. So for that fact alone I would have to say no thank you and look for another brand.
But I'm so glad you turned on the cooker during your demo otherwise I would never have known how noisey it is.

Thanks for the video. Would I do turnips the same way as the potato fries? Cook them first then cut them up and air fry? I have two large turnips to cook and a new Breville air fryer like the one you have.
