    I love the idea of not cutting the fries. I never get the fries the same size. New to wfpb. I just ordered the brevile and so excited to get it and start air-frying the vegs! Sometimes, we can learn from our daughters. My daughter kept telling me for a long time to get the instapot. Finally gave in and now I have two! 😅

    New potatoes boiled then air fried would be so great. My mom use to boil new potatoes and then put them in iron skillet of hot grease until golden brown. I plan to do the same but air fry until brown and add little butter on them after mashing them. Thanks for sharing.

    Wonderful. My daughter in law made some for me but they were smaller so she boiled/steamed them and smashed them with the heal of her hand... whole, and put garlic all over them from a garlic press... oh, my gosh. She browned them in the oven. So great. I think being smaller, the garlic didn't have time to burn. I went over to look at your vegan cheeze sauce. Looks like something I could try. I'll let you know how they turn out. Thanks for the recipe. I subscribed...

    I make something similar to this, I just marinate them in English style malt vinegar solution.. How much you marinate them depends on how much you like malt vinegar. I rgn season them just before they are finished baking with a liquid solution I brush on with a pasgtry brush, whatever seasonings you like. I do this in the oven, but will definitely be trying in my new breville using the air frying functtion. I bought the breville using your link, and I have to say I like it much better than my regular oven, and as a single, I think it will replace my oven totally. Anything I could even want it is plenty big, and I can set it on a kitchen cart, and can actually see inside, and putting things in and out is better at this level. My old under stove gas oven......dark, light no longer works, and it bothers my old back....lol...I have been using it primarily for storage for several years now. So, this has gotten me baking and roasting again.

    I do something similar. I steam 3 or 4 small potatoes in the microwave for around 6 mins, then wait for them to cool down before flattening them, using the broadside of a large knife. I then grill them for around 5 mins. Absolutely delicious.

    How long do you cook the potatoes the first time around before the smashing and air frying process? Do you bake them in breville as well before hand or a regular oven? Thank you!

    • @NutmegNotebook
      @NutmegNotebook  5 лет назад

      We use our full sized oven on convection multi rack setting as we bake 3 sheet pans full of several types of potatoes at once, including one full sheet pan of the gold potatoes. Temperature iis 400 degrees, time is 1 hour, the small potatoes are typically done by then, use a fork to test doneness of any lagrer potatoes . The large sweet potatoes we cook at the same time usually take another 15 minutes. Thanks -- Be sure to subscribe to the our channel and our blog at www.nutmegnotebook.com

    Hello, I was wondering if you could help me. I’ve had my Breville Air for about 3 months now and just now noticed there was a “convection/super convection button. What should that be on when air frying? How do you use that button?
