FINALLY!! Someone who leaves the natural Havanese coming out of the cut, not turning it into a Shitzu or poodle clone!!! Love that you left the moustache and eyebrows and that you were so gentle and patient with the little girl. Thanks.
After watching several Havanese grooming videos, your video was by far my favorite cut tutorial. I love how you didn’t over cut and maintained the unique softness of this breed! Beautiful work!
Now this is a style of grooming I can live with! You are gentle, you emphasize "if she'll let me" and you try to cause as little distress as possible while still achieving a lovely cut. I will try to use these techniques on my 3 month old Havanese - part of her charm is that she looks like an ewok, and I don't want to lose that!
I have never been able to cut my Tibetan Terrier's hair or my Havanese's hair without it looking horrendous. I just trimmed Maisy's (the Havanese) bangs and having watched your video, she looks actually alright! THANK YOU!
I cant thank you enough for making this video. I love the shaggy look on my dogs. Before I moved, my groomer used scissors. In my new area, I have been to several groomers and they all use clippers resulting in a short buzz cut. Even on RUclips, most videos are about using the clippers. Beautiful job!
Great job! I just adopted a Havanese and have been looking for grooming tips for a longer cut. This is super helpful. I love the way you explain the cut process and how calm and gentle you are with the dog. Thank you!
I have had two Havanese. I just love how gentile you are . Used to have a groomer who scissor cut my first one. Live elsewhere now and it was a nightmare finding a groomer that could groom my second one. Found a decent one that can only do it with clappers. Want to learn how to do it my self with scissors since I always have to end up scissoring his head after her. This video is very helpful. Thank you. Wish you were my groomer. You are wonderful.
By far the best Havanese grooming video I’ve watched. I have a Havanese myself and with the lockdown and all l’m trying to learn how to do it myself at home. I definitely don’t want to cut too much so I don’t intend on getting a clipper! This was very helpful. Thanks for sharing
Any good human hair stylist knows that interpreting the person’s desires is an important part of a successful client experience and you’ve apparently learned those same important skills
Well at least now I know what to ask for next time. I like him fluffy. He's part crested Chinese so his hair is really fine around his legs and so he looks extra funny with short trimmed legs. Watching you I have been doing my own dog since there are no good groomers near me in the country. He's looking really good but we're both still learning. He gets tons of compliments 😊
This is exactly what I have been trying to get for my dog, but all the groomers I've been to only seem to think that shaving is an option. Also they always tend to change the look of his face and comes home looking like another breed. This last time I asked to let it grow and just tidy up, and they cut his face weird and trimmed up his legs, and so now he looks like a puff on tiny legs. LOL Next time I will link your video so they get what I'm asking, as photos and requests just don't seem to work.
Nice to see a groomer actually scissor a Havanese and not always shave them down....I have a Havanese and my groomer always shaved her down and gave me not many options, now I’m learning to do it myself so I can keep her in at least 2-3 inches of fluff...my Havanese however has a mix of straight and curly hair its very hard to manage but im not giving up, i would love to see a video with a adult Havanese that has mixed fur, if my girl was straight hair it would be so much easier but she has mixed hair and I only now have the right brushes and tools and she is 8 years old, thanks for your video, it was very helpful to me, Victoria L

I enjoyed watching your video. You handle Penny so gently and was a good grooming lesson for her. She's a beautiful Havanese.
I adore her.
I love this groom style and like to do it on my schnauzers 😍 Thank you for sharing these great videos that show us step by step how to do this!!

Wonderful job! My havanese puppy was shaved down in the middle of winter 😢

can you still trim the hair once they are fully adult? Read somewhere to not cut their hair and felt it was an odd note
Amazing 👍
you are a gentle woman
Too bad the camera was so far away that it was impossible to see technique used on face .
Check out my newer videos.

Who was the breeder for that Havanese?

The hair is straightened when they are properly blow dried prior to the haircut. Watch the process here 🙂

Wish there were better camera zoom while grooming the face…
That is why I try not to create any how to videos. Too hard for me to get the details.
Hi Penny! I love you sweet girl!
Who knows a good kennel of havanese?
