    Hello friends.
I have gotten lots of comments about my face- I just want to be clear here:
I haven’t had any plastic surgery (I had a facelift and bleph a couple years ago and did a video on it….its still on the channel if you’re curious) I didn’t get a nose job, an upper lip lift (but dang that is on my wish list!!), no cheek implants….nada!!
Last summer I did a series of morpheus8, last October I did my first Agnes RF, January I did my second Agnes RF. I did an Ultraclear 3D miracle a few months ago.
I have lost weight and also, probably biggest, I quit drinking alcohol and stopped eating sugar.
WHEN I decide to do my lip lift or a nose job (not currently on my list lol) I will FILM the process and share here!
I have zero shame around procedures, plastic surgery, injectables (shoot, I’m even overdue for my Botox!!) so I’ll share if I do something new.
I think I’ll stop answering questions about my appearance though….i know most of you are being kind but it’s a little over the top the “you’ve had plastic surgery” comments. Mostly because *if I did I’d share!*
Lots of love to you all ❤️
    Penn

65 years old here...I was fortunate to have a primary that ordered a dexa scan for me when I was 55...Slight osteopenia in left hip. Recommended to take Vitamin K (not calcium) amino acids and lift weights (I am somewhat vegan so I take plant based aminos). Repeated dexa at age 63 and they was no progression, thankfully.

Hi Penny, Thank you so much for this extremely informative video. I’ve had osteoporosis since my mid 40’s. I had a hysterectomy when I was 35. They left one ovary. I’m now thinking it must not have been working very well. I’ve broke my back twice, broke both wrists, etc. I was in that age group where estrogen was “ bad” because of that flawed study. There’s so many women who have really gone through a lot because of that flawed study. Anyway, I just got started on estrogen 8 months ago when I was 60. I hope I’m not too late. I still have osteoporosis & have for almost 20 years so I know it’s too late to help with that but hopefully it will protect my heart and brain. My dear, sweet mom just passed away from Alzheimer’s Disease and Heart Disease. She also had osteoporosis so bad her little back & shoulders were all hunched over. She had a complete hysterectomy in her mid 40’s. Her Doctors never put her on Hormone Replacement Therapy!!! And do you know what else she got? Breast Cancer when she was 73. I guess that debunked that myth!!! I’m heading to get Dr. Haver’s collagen. I’m afraid I won’t like the taste. I’m extremely sensitive to tastes and flavors of these types of things but I will have to chug it down.😊Thanks again.🙌🙌🙌💜

@PENNSMITHSKINCARE My Mom was on HRT for 20 years...she is 82, has osteoporosis and is in her final stage of Alzheimer's. I also know a couple of women who were on HRT and now battling breast cancer. I am all for modern medicine, taking HRT when needed. I, myself, use vaginal Estrace...but, if you look at the current science, there are many, many very important lifestyle changes to make in order to protect our bones and mind. I am not convinced that HRT is the magic solution for the long haul...it could, in fact, be dangerous

Any knowledge of the ph of the Pause Life collagen formula? Citric acid and magic acid in the ingredient deck can cause dental erosion and decay especially if it has a low/acidic ph. I love the ingredient deck with verisol but I have seen so many dental issues with erosive beverages. Brushing afterwards doesn’t remove the damage, it actually increases it.
Thanks for the video as always. Just a simple observation. And we have so many choices out there, many times I prefer an oral/capsule supplement.

Could you please elaborate on what type of collagen is in this brand?
Verasol seems to be some type of trademark for a specific type of collagen. It is important to know which ones they are so we know what they are working on. I know you stated it is specifically for skin and bones, but knowing the exact type would be helpful for us, so if we find it, in another brand that is not under that trademark name, we know it is the correct type. Thank you!

Regarding bone health - According to Dr Stacy Simms it is good to jump/ do plyometrics to make your bones stronger - and of course to lift as heavy as you can. I realise that this probably will not affect the bones in my face but I am more concerned about hips and spine being healthy. 🙂

The biggest difference I noticed: no more bruising at all so, I am sure it is definitely helping my skin👍. Plus, IMO, there is nothing more “old” than somebody covered in bruises😉. Thank you for another excellent video😍

I also take collagen boosters: Vitamin C, Hyaluronic acid, & silica. These were actually prescribed long before there were actual studies for my joints, muscle and tendon issues. I remember when it only cost 8-11 dollars for a can of collagen! lol. I prefer unflavored powder for my decaf but the Sparkle Açaí Lemonade isn’t bad either. It’s definitely helped. I view collagen like sunscreen: The one (or several) I use/take consistently is the best for me.

I found TruNature at Costco had the recommended dose of 2500 mg. of Verisol. Their price is the cheapest I have found but needs to be ordered online. Recently, I have recently found a liquid product in Costco which has the same dosage.

My understanding is that Type I collagen is predominant in the human body, and in the extracellular matrix that gives structure to the surrounding cells. As with whey protein, you should opt for a "hydrolyzed" brand. Hydrolyzed equals smaller molecule; smaller molecule equals superior absorption. Enjoy your day!

Now, I need something (a supplement) to help me with hair fall and breakage. Any articles or suggestions? I know I will have many more questions in regard to Estrogen replacement. When I had the prior surgery, so about 20-some years ago, NO ONE wanted to help with Estrogen and the losses my body and moods/ mind experienced. So disappointing. Thank you as always for keeping us so well-informed and spending so much of your time doing all of that research. I’m a bit nervous to mix things in water (I have extremely sensitive taste buds and can always taste the “tasteless!”) but I’m hoping combining the collagen with the fiber (as Dr Haver suggested) will help!
On an unrelated note…I’m wondering if you did videos/follow-ups and before/afters with the Morpheus8 and/or AgnesRF, as well as the eyebrow/microblading procedure you underwent, or if you plan to. I followed along intently on your Ellacor and neck lift journeys and want to be sure I didn’t miss anything, or keep a lookout and get excited for what’s coming! I also started DIY micro needling my face and chest in 2021. I had pigment problems and they've all pretty much disappeared. Maybe it was the collagen? I will check out Dr. Havers but it almost 100% more than the Vital Proteins beef that I've been taking for nearly ten years. We really are stewards of our health as regular AMA doctors will never tell people of at-home treatments and supplements that forestall and prevent diseases.

Penny, I just can’t make myself drink anything that tastes the least bit gross, so I won’t do a powder. Even the Magnesium supplement I got from Symbiotica I could only do one and couldn’t make myself take another. Is there any way to get a good collagen in a capsule?

Hi Penn, you look gorgeous as usual!! Do you know anything about the brand NativePath? It says that it does have both Fortibone and Verisol. Or Designs for Health? I would love to use Dr. Haver’s brand, but I just can’t do anything with flavoring😢.

@@PENNSMITHSKINCARE thank you! I really trust and value your opinion. Maybe you can convince Dr. Haver to make an unflavored version, lol.!

Penny, thanks so much for what you do. You mention bone loss everywhere. It’s TRUE. I was in good shape til diagnosed w/ cancer. I think it’s radiation but I’ve lost bone in my skull, now I think vertebrae. Which can be disastrous. My dr ( endocrinology) is stumped. I’ve lost 1 1/2” in height. Have changes to my skull. Don’t know who to turn to. I’m going try the peptides.

Hi Penny. I always start my comments with how gorgeous you look. I have an important question. Sukayaka Suhada cannot be found anywhere. It’s gone from all websites but eBay and some Japanese specialty stores. What happened with that. You were such a fan. I bought it used it and loved it. Now I can’t get it. What are you using and doing lately. ❤

I don’t know what the heck had happened to SS!! I have 1.5 bottles right now and I am bummed I may not find it again 😭
But don’t buy on eBay, it’s not worth that 🫤

Great video, Penny! I had a Professor during grad school, she is a nutritionist and works together with derms and plastic surgeons. She also looked for studies about collagen and decided to start prescribing Verisol for her patients and it really helped with wound healing. Of course these patients were eating the right amount of protein in their diet, so that contributes to have the collagen peptides being used in other places that are not considered priority to our bodies, like skin!

Wow, you look amazing!! I see a subtle change but it packs a punch! I noticed you have more upper tooth show. I know you said you’ve lost weight and did RF treatments what did you do around your mouth? Did you have an upper lip lift or a Botox lip flip? Whatever you did you look amazing!!! ❤

No lip lift but so funny I JUST said to my husband I want to do that. I dissolved any old filler above my lip a few months ago (many years ago I would get a little filler ABOVE my lip thinking it would help reduce the distance between my lip and nose……of course it didn’t but it did add volume there that I hated as time went on). After I dissolved that old filler I felt like I could see my teeth more when I smile BUT you can also see the muscles above my lip (in real life more than in videos). Now I have a crease under my nose when I smile….its always something lol
Anyway, if I do a lip lift I’ll document the whole thing and share here of course! ❤️❤️

Really, really important topic, thanks for making this vid! Didn't know about this type of collagen until now. I have been using collagen powder for years. I buy the Organika brand from Costco. I plan to get a dexa scan very soon after hearing Dr. Haver talk about it. I'm also in perimeno so want to take care of my bone and get ahead of this as best I can.

Hi Penn, I’m a 53 y/o newbie and before I got to see your video I ordered Vital Proteins as I’ve seen many comments (not here), about the benefits of collagen for hair growth. Do you have any thoughts around that? In your video, you spoke on benefits for bone and skin health, so I was just wondering about hair as that is my main concern. Love all your wealth of information , so happy I found you! 😊
