With the amount of coats of paint building up a thickness, it would have been quicker to get the inverse vinyl stencil and make the graphic a sticker.
How did you wire the killswitch in here? If it is breaking to open circuit when depressed that might explain the static noise each time you press it.
Having it shunt signal to ground would be the sonically cleaner way to wire it - but I can't tell which you've done from the video.
There's also some real crispiness going on which to me sounds like a pickup overdriving - I'm not hugely familiar with Lace pickups, but I wonder if it is just a little too close to the strings in its current configuration. I'd be interested to hear if it gives more clarity when lowered a few mm.
Both those problems can be explained by the plugin I was using, none of that happens through a real amp or even a different plugin.
The Bogren MLC plugin has so much fucking gain I had to crank the gate to get rid of the static, to the point where notes wouldn't ring out fully.
As for the wiring, I used the TESI wiring diagram to make sure I wasn't being an idiot
@@sixstringtv1 Then that leads me to ask where are you gating in the chain here, because surely that can be mitigated by gating before the plugin and then again after with two low threshold gates.
I used the gate knob on the plugin's "amp head". Perhaps I should ask Glenn if he'd like to send over a copy of his Cockblocker plugin.
@@sixstringtv1 Sounds to me like the Bogren Digital need to take another look at the gating in their plug-in, and possibly why it sounds deep fried, assuming that wasn't their deliberate intention.
Fully support the use of a quality stand alone gate for post production though - highly useful.

I play a Jackson Dinky JS32 for like 10 years and never had any problems with the Trem (and I use it heavily). Keep up your good work on YT and don't get discouraged!!! Big Fan from Germany! The paint creep at the brisge PU will be vanished with a touch of car paint compund polish and shine that you can get at Aral. That stuff is wonderfull for things like this... like... if you paint PDC sensors without removing them from the bumper and having a paint creep at the actual paint. Works also for HiFi-equipment paint.

The problem you have with the wilkinson is because of the radius of the floyd ??? Just have to swap between saddles to have the radius accomodate to the neck radius .

are you cranking the gain on your interface? The tone from the Mlc shouldn’t sound so uncontrollable
Input is (always) at -6dB
maybe try lowering it. Most of the plugins are built to sound normal at -12db, which is the db level of the typical interface (such as the focusrite) with the gain completely rolled off on the interface@@sixstringtv1
