I bought a sonic tele a few weeks ago, I legit play it instead of my fenders or my Ibanez collection. It’s criminally cheap, all they need is some nice pots and mechanical switch. The tele pickups are so nice

Thanks for showing it is routed for HSH. i plan on putting a high output hum-bucker in the neck BUT hide it under the pickguard and use a push pull pot to engage it. Nice mod BTW.
Wow I'm soooo glad I found this. I've been considering snagging one of these since I recently purchased an old Squier 7 string and fell in love. Wasn't sure if it was routed for HSH or not. I am so glad that you are happy with your Sonic. After waiting weeks and weeks i finally got a Sonic Mustang SS on Friday. Sadly, it was in such terrible condition, i returned it the next day. I was so upset, really, since the wait was 5 weeks (or more?) and to have it delivered in the condition i received it.....felt like knives in my gut.
Oh damn, that sucks. I do recommend ordering another one, cause I know first hand that these guitars are spectacular for the money and you probably just got the last one from the assembly line on a Friday evening when everyone wanted to go home 🤣

Your volume is your tone knob and you get more vibration out of the strings without the neck pick up even though it’s off the magnets are still pulling the strengths
Not sure if you had enough room in the body cavity, but if you wanted a tone knob, you could have used a concentric pot and had a volume and tone control with just one visible knob. It's never too late to take some careful measurements and drill a second hole in the pick guard either, this way you get to use your second knob, if it's still floating around.
I have the same guitar. Can you tell me the part number you used for the bridge and the jack plate? Also i went with hip shot locking tuners and Seymour Duncan Black winter pickup 😎

Nice, I saw a metal band several years ago and he played a pink Hello Kitty Squier he had modded. I decided a few years later I wanted to mod one but the prices went thru the roof.
