The officer couldn’t leave the porch because he was ordered to do so. He had to remain, thus showing he wasn’t taking orders from the homeowner.
That's the EXACT reason he wouldn't leave. His ego just wouldn't let him.

The only exception would be if someone's life was in imminent danger and the cop has "a single articulable fact" that the cop must produce to the court justifying the breach of 4th amendment.

Why are the same cops making multiple visits to the same residence absent ANY crimes?
The first cop had the right reaction. If the homeowner does not want to talk to you, then the right thing to do is leave. Cops are expected to follow "Social Norms." That means that when they do a knock and talk, they are not supposed to do anything that you would not want a Girl Scout selling cookies to do. Cops are not supposed to open your screen door or try your door knobs or cover your cameras or anything that the Girl Scout would not do. Once you tell them to leave, they are supposed to leave. Like the public, if you trespass them and they stay, it becomes criminal trespass, but no cop ever gets charged with that crime and I know why it is, but I still find it to be unconstitutional. If you were accused of criminal trespass, they would arrest you in a second, so they know what criminal trespass is.

@@dianefisher8646 the girl that rents that house tried to press charges against one of thier friends that let's cops use thier hunting land for free. They denied the threats on her phone in text messages and say "we know him he's fine, he wouldn't actually hurt you" then they start harrasing her for him. The 1st video has the audio from the pressing charges. We have video and audio from multiple visits to court house and interactions that after the courts get done with I will release more!

Almost makes me want to give up my privacy and get a ring camera, unfortunately Amazon keeps your data for 6 months and it’s subject to subpoena by law enforcement - and Amazon has been known to cooperate even without a warrant.
There are much more secure doorbell cameras.
Don't endorse Ring cameras, they partner with police.
I live in N.M The cops are trying to be able to tie into everyones private cameras without a warrant. Dash cams, doorbell cameras, businesses etc.
