I've always been a big believer that no matter how bad WE THE PEOPLE believe the government corruption is, it is much much worse.

Not sure in what world the executive offices need to be behind locked doors. Most are ELECTED OFFICIALS and should be in the publicly accessible areas as they are there to "SERVE" the public! These people are pathetic and have the totally wrong mindset!

This is what we mean when we talk about a "bad corporate culture", only in this case its this town's city admin culture. Maybe it was Joe, maybe it was somebody 100 years ago, but some bully trained that whole town to live in fear of disobeying them. And they've been blindly doing what they're told, without thinking, ever since. It's exactly the mentality in Ontario. Drives me up a tree.

Always hate how they lock all the doors to OUR offices. Whenever I see that in a town, I instantly lose respect for the community, and urge the locals to investigate more closely what might be being covered up.

I’ve noticed, that from these audits that more and more city buildings are limiting access by glass walls, doors with key pads and by appointment “only”. I am wondering if that in its self to be able to address the local government at any time during the operation hours, is that violating constitutional rights?
Audits are necessary no arguing that. But all they do is fire up the copy machine, print a bunch of restricted access signs, drop requisitions for key card access and basically lock down the whole building. But since accountability is the goal, when do all these so-called restricted areas start getting challenged? There's no reason 90 percent of the building is key carded and restricted.

Telling someone in public “you don’t have my permission to record me” is the legal equivalent of telling someone in public “you don’t have my permission to eat lettuce”. It is 2024…. how are there still people out there who don’t understand this?
So the next time you are in a public building Townhall or whatever and the employees scatter and won’t help you do a public record request of the employees names, their salaries, their hours that they work and what time their brakes are now is it gonna be funny to expose them for all hiding in the back of an office, not at their desk Because they usually like to say oh they were on break yeah let’s get a documentation of their brakes because of their salary they get breaks at certain times and if they’re hourly they’re gonna punch out for those breaks and we can match it all up and that’s why they hate me

My favorite thing about Josh is how quick on his toes he is with his words. It reminds me of the way Eric Brandt used to deal with people. From a distance he doesn’t look like someone you’d lose an argument to but as soon as you insult him, disrespect him, argue with him, Eric (and now Josh) would masterfully use words to put the person in line. Whether you loved or hated Eric, one thing was certain, he was shockingly articulate, educated and well versed in the law. One of the most well spoken auditors I’ve ever witnessed. When Eric got locked up I was disappointed but then I found Josh. A modern better and cleaner version (lol) of Eric who is a master of verbal judo. I come here for the legendary verbal takedowns that Josh always provides servants haha so please don’t ever stop doing what you do Josh, we need you. The public servants fear you and it’s hysterical to watch them go up against you.

Getting credit card statements of government offices is an excellent idea. I remember an auditor did that years ago down South and childrens uniforms, guitar strings and $800.00 in pizza was on the statements.

We need more auditors. But the problem is, once they get audited, they immediately print restricted acess signs and buy key card acess devices and lock down the the whole damn building. So how much ground are we gaining if their respinse is just to restric access to 90 percent of the building and say everything is by appointment only???
City Buildings should not be allowed to put electronic keys on offices that were previously open to the public.
