This is a non-profit, unofficial fan-film that is not intended for commercial use. It was made for the love of star wars. Characters are owned by Lucasfilm/Disney and this fan-series is not connected in any way to said companies.
Absolutely love when Star Wars fan filmmakers say fuck it and just use the actual Star Wars soundtrack not caring about copyright claims. Love all the mixing and track choices!
I don’t know all the details but Lucas actually supports fan films and allows the use of Star Wars sounds
@@briangrayson2805 Does Disney too?
It's all fair on RUclips as long as you ain't making money on there copyright
Wants to speak to the Star Wars manager 🤣
I use the theme song for first contact to open my videos for RUclips when I play star trek and their policy is as long as its non profit and that I'm not make money on their music it say copyright found but the owner allows it to be used on RUclips as long as that is showing and your not making money off that music or sounds you can't be charged or suited for using the copyright. As you are not making any kinda profit form their material.
I didn't expect the graphics to look that good. Wow. Rainy Yavin is best Yavin.
I agree 100%, but there's one small thing, it's Yavin 4, not Yavin. Yavin 4 is one of the moons of Yavin Prime.
@@thodinthorsson8028 More 'small things': The Battle of Endor should be called the 'Battle of the Sanctuary Moon'.
What's next? That's not the Deathstar it's the 'DS1 Orbital Battlestation'. LOL. I live in America. "Don't you mean North America?" *O M G*
Nailed the original trilogy vibe in this! Great work =)
really great work! Please more of that!!
Love It! Animation is incredible!
Remember, poor General Dodonna was captured in the evacuation of Yavin and sent to Lusankya, where he would stay for over 7 years until Rogue Squadron finally found him.
"How quickly the great general Dodonna collapsed under the overwhelming might of Lord Vader's rage. He should of realized that there is nothing a single man can do to forestall the march of the Empire.
I'm his final moments the fool even let slip that the rebels were intending on capturing our food supplies on Reytha. Even now Lord Vader travels there to restore peace and order..." - Mara Jade
Thats a "Legends" story now.
Damn, you'd think the Empire would have executed any involved.
@@chrisstetsko5020Doesn’t matter. It’s the EU.
And who cares?
rainy yavin look good.
It's raining on Yavin 4. There's no rain on Yavin, it's a gas giant.
@@thodinthorsson8028 there is onn neptune titan. jupiter io.
Awesome work!
The idea of being a rebel prisoner when Vader is angrier than usual and wanting to lash out is genuinely terrifying.
Yeah personally I probably would have made assumptions and tried to provoke the troopers to kill me as soon as I saw that ship coming in to land.
@@MrMikellsof88 then why not meet the Darth in person and spit on his helmet?you die anyway.
@@MrMikellsof88 Your last grenade is not for the enemy...
This masterpiece gives Empire strikes back fr 🔥👌
Vader almost certainly wouldn’t just slaughter Rebel prisoners on Yavin 4 with no other objective in mind. He would have them interrogated first, trying to discover where their ships had fled to.
Vader seems more terrifying when he doesn't say much. Great vid
Do I heard "be careful not to choke on your aspirations, Director?"
(Luckily Vader managed to redeem himself in this same film, later on)
True, but when you have James Earl Jones voicing Vader you let him talk.
helps the filmmakers avoid writing dialogue and doing all the "acting" stuff.
Vader coming back for revenge is great, Always loved that starting mission from Rogue Squadron 3: Rebel Strike where the Empire launches a massive assault on Yavin in the aftermath.
Galactic Battlegrounds also featured a similar mission playing as the Empire, we truly were blessed with so many Star Wars games over the years.
@@RoyalFusilier OG Battlefront 2 also featured a similar mission; a lot of games from back then tried to be consistent in that.
Loved the OG B2 mission!!!
@@OldCityBob One of the three missions that consistently kicked my ass. Felucia, the Jedi Temple, and Yavin.
@@cakeboss4194 Those were all tough missions. I HATED the part in the Jedi Temple where you had to protect the Archives from the Jedi.
Star wars isn't dead.We don't need Disney for content when fans keep making short films
Love the mix from the New Hope soundtrack to the Empire Strikes Back soundtrack. Very well done.
I can’t remember the last time I watched something like this that FELT like Star Wars. This was outstanding. Amazing work!
Agree

This looks incredible. From the visuals, camera angles and the secret sauce for anything star wars related… the sound. A huge congratulations on the making of this film.
Thanks🙌🙌
I was more invested in these 8 minutes of a fan-made film than when I watched The Last Jedi, in which I literally fell asleep.
I know what you mean. For a while I thought I was watching a genuine Star Wars movie. It was so refreshing to not see any woke elements.
Tbf, that's not a hard bar to surpass. Something made with passion by actual fans will beat that "movie" any day.
ditto
Same 😂😂😂
Man I thought I was the only one that fell sleep during it. My wife yelled at me but 20 min into I fell asleep.
Wow....wow....more please. This is what Star Wars should be.
It is. I saw most of this in the theater in 2017; it was called The Last Jedi, and it was the last time I supported a Star Wars production.
same for me.. but Andor brought the hope back for me :) i just wont watch any of the sequels related stuff@@SumDumGy
then just wait for the Lucas 'Special Edition'
@@SumDumGy I'm genuinely amazed at the sheer number of Star Wars fans who only managed to figure out Star Wars was bad after Rian Johnson's abomination. The rest of us figured out we'd be duped during TFA in the cinema.
@@youtube_moderator To be quite Frank, I figured it out in 1999 with The Phantom Menace, then started thinking about it after Attack of the Clones made it worse, realizing George Lucas had been already screwing the pooch since 1984: Two Ewoks movies and then the over-hyped and repeatedly revised OT Special Editions that have made the original works progressively more disappointing.
My Star Wars now consists solely of the De-specialized Editions of the OT, with an acceptance of Rogue One being a watchable film I don’t object to.
"IMPRESSIVE, MOST IMPRESSIVE!" ❤ DARTH....Well done, MORE PLEASE!
Learned of this fan film through Dave Cullen. He said, I'm paraphrasing, "fan films are much more authentic then anything coming from LucasFilm at the moment." It's because fan filmmakers love Star Wars; current LucasFilm does not.
agreed
This is great, definitely a big improvement compared to your last two projects.
this was awesome, people like this should be the ones in charge of the lucas legacy not the shills in hollyweird.
10/10 would recomend.
Epic! I can see this taking place during the end of the first original comics run arcs, when the Yavin base was being evacuated.
Now this is Star Wars!!!!!
Is that a “now this is podracing!” reference?
Watch out exhaust for brains!
A short fan film gets the tone, tenor, and pace with all the glorious John Williams music right while KK and BI run the IP into the ground.
Good ....GOOD, You've done well my friend. 👍
I love how it's accurate to the Star Wars universe and can really fit into the Canon
Everything here is great, but what really stands out to me is the choice in music and the way you weaved it into the events being displayed on screen. Absolutely fantastic!
This has more Star Wars feeling than the disney movies.
Yep!
Like-bait ahhh comment
Puts Disney to shame. At the risk of sounding like an absolute nerd, the force is strong with this clip!
Outstanding! The music intergration with the action was spot on. I loved Yavin at night/in a storm. Most impressive!
Awesome job! It only took 47 years to know how DV was found after the battle...fast action, great graphics...kudos! Thanks for posting it...your time and effort is appreciated...!
Vader's TIE Advanced was equipped with a hyperdrive.
"So Lord Vader, when you gonna tell me how you made it home in one piece?"
"That is classified, Gunnery Sergeant."
"Hrmph! My ass! Well you can forget those adjustments to your lightsaber-"
“Somehow… Darth Vader returned.”
I also like the Family Guy account, where he is stuck in his suit in space for two weeks and calls Palpatine.
At the end of the original 1977 cut Vader gets his TIE under control and he is seen flying off under full power. Though he could have had an engine malfunction afterwards which left him drifting.
This was really good, incredible work!! so much better than the recent stuff Disney has churned out!
Very VERY well done! This actually felt like Star Wars.
One thing though: the Tantive IV wouldn’t have been on Yavin. It was still in the possession of the Empire after its capture at the beginning of A New Hope.
The featured ship wasn't necessarily the Tantive IV. In fact, the alliance had a slew of CR90 Corellian corvettes or "blockade runners" at their disposal throughout the tenure of the civil war.
That’s a good point.
@@markwilliamson8047 exactly Tantive IV was scuttled after it was captured by Vader and the entire Imperial Navy after it was spotted outside Tatooine
The animation in this is stunning, great job! I can’t wait to see what you work on next!
Amazing job! Loved the sense of scale and movement of every ship. In my opinion they do not use to get it right on fan films but you did it!
Also the lighting and look of the planets! I hope it gets many views and appreciation from fans. You deserve it!
Absolutely impeccable!
“ Arise Lord Vader”
Excellent work
The environments look very very good! Also the lighting is on point! Can't wait to see what you work on next!
Highly appreciated!
The explosions in space were phenomenal!
Awesome. The way you managed to fit your story to the musics is amazing.
Also, the idea of the tractor beam for Vader's TIE is a great one.
If my dad watches this, it's going to blow his mind... yep, that's what's gonna happen, 'cos it's blown mine. Oh my god!! I've not felt like this since Rogue One!! MAGNIFICENT WORK!! 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Well imagined. Pure enjoyment. Obvious act of LOVE. Thanks
This is GOLD SQUAD! Even with a slight and welcome retcon (originally, Vader just jumped into hyperspace after he managed to stabilize his tie-fighter), you brilliantly mixes the atmospheres of Episodes IV and V, as well as the Vader we all want to see.
Perhaps one way to show the hardship Vader went through (and which above all shows our favorite sith's irritation afterwards) would be to show him staggering out of the smoke-filled cockpit of his damaged tie-fighter.
Your video undoubtedly presents us with a good Star War, in a more satisfying way than much recent canonical material. It brings true TESB and NH vibes. Love the intense imperial march!
I'm pretty certain we saw Vader flying away from the destroyed Death Star at high speed, but his TIE Advanced was never shown jumping to hyperspace in the aftermath.
Great slice of work, here guys. Never ceases to amaze me how fan films can nail the kind of content Star Wars fans really want.
This was so cool this is in my head canon. Amazing work! I hope you keep making more awesome videos
This is great. The models, the animation, the sound design, the music, the voice lines 👏👏
The only thing that needs improving is the animation. Everything else was perfect
Thanks!
@@HellebustCG a perfect story prequel leading to the events of The Empire Strikes back which is my favorite episode in the original trilogy the most dark and ambiguous of all 19+ years after Revenge of the Sith.
good job boss!
This was amazing! Well done!
I felt the magic of the OG Star Wars trilogy in this one.
That didnt feel like 7mins... Felt so short, so brief... I needed more! More!!!
I always wanted to see a project regarding the evacuation of the yavin base. Great job!
and the search for new rebel base starts all over again... love it , thank U for this 🙂
Great idea, great execution!
Can’t get enough classic OT.
This is a really good animation. Thank you for your great work, and I can’t wait to see your upcoming animations🌟
This is RIGHT UP there and true to the original format. Loved it!
Damn good work! Feels like a great extension to the series. George would be proud of what you did on your own.
Really immersive. Great soundtrack and wonderful to experience this particular moment in Star Wars history. Thank you for such amazing work.
This reignites the spark of Star Wars excitement within me. The fans are the future of the franchise. Well done! 😊
Please keep this up, independent filmmakers. Take back what’s rightfully ours.
Dude, This was actually really good!!!! I want more 😃💙
Love this!!
It would've been cool if there was a scene at the end where Vader interrogates the remaining rebels and discovers that the young rebel who destroyed the Death Star was Luke Skywalker.
Looks really good! I love how you put in some of the old Star Wars Battlefront music.
To be fair, it's not really battlefront music, it's all from the movies lol
This is why you don’t celebrate too early. The rebels went and had a whole award ceremony on Yavin, after the Death Star destruction. Whereas, they should’ve begun their evacuation process immediately after, while the Empire was scattered and scrambling to pick up the pieces.
This is Star Wars!
Why is the fan made one are better than what we got nowadays?? Because it’s made with passion from people who understand the core of star wars
i wasn't expecting this to look so stunning, great job!
This seriously might be the best SW Fan Film I have ever seen! So realistic looks just like the OG Trilogy!
All to easy..... to fall in love with your work!!! :)
More Star Wars feeling in 3 min. than Episode 7-9 together. GREAT JOB!
This is absolutely amazing! Keep up the good work!
A cut of this would have been a fantastic way to start Empire Strikes Back.
Great animation. Long Live The Empire!
Vader sounds good. Good video all around. Nicely done.
I love how Yavin IV's weather is stormy. It just fits.
Awesome, thank you for doing such a wonderful job.
I wish these fan films would be as long as an actual film cause this is funkin nuts dude. Love it.
Fantastic! Beautiful!
The fans are doing the best work!
Wow this was the most amazing star wars fan film I have ever seen, the quality was absolutely amazing you did a great job and deserve more recognition. Amazing job, keep up the great work.
I love it!!!
I love it!!!
I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT IT!
The entire thing was so brilliant! Picking up where the action left off after Han and Chewy out flanked Vaders Tie Fighter attack on Luke just before they destroyed the Death Star and caused him to lose control of his space craft and go spinning into deep, dark space, only to reemerge in The Empire Strikes Back!
You filled that void between the ending of A New Hope and the beginning of Empire Strikes Back!
Wonderful story and excellent movie
More immediately please
Once again a fan made a better film in his bedroom than a multi-million dollar studio can do with worldwide resources
I wouldn't call this a film, more like a trailer. There's technically no story.
Sad but true the soul this fan made short film has
Jesus just hush and enjoy the film
Compenies care more about The MESSAGE
Can’t you just enjoy the film without crying and complaining about Disney and the whole complaint that we have heard for like a 10,000 times from purists fans?
Congratulations! Im convinced George Lucas would proudly agree the Force is Strong with this One..!
Amazing! WE WANT MOOOORE 🔥
Great animation! Interesting story line. Surprising how fast ISD's arrived. (the correct class for ANH) I always thought that Vader's TIE's hyperdrive was still functioning and he hauled ass out of there! Yes eventually Imperial forces would arrive, but the Rebels had enough time to hold an awards ceremony!
Very good. Looking forward to seeing more.
I want to say thank you for creating this masterpiece. This is better than the crap Disney is pushing out.
See Disney? It aint so hard.
It definitely isn't hard when you make something with next to no storyline, and you just copy all the best shots from the original trilogy.
Do you say that because of Disney or a 8 minute fan film?😅
This is what I was wanting in the theatres....this IS star wars !!!!
Great job! Yavin looked amazing🤌🤌
Darth Vader didn't realize it at the time, but the War was lost yet again at 5:19 as the Rebel Alliance Escapes. He probably is fuming at the Imperials Incompetence.
Magnificent!
This feels more like Star Wars than anything Disney has put out💯💯
i loved it great work bravo
Excellent work! One of the best Star Wars themed fan films I've seen! Compliments!
Better than this Disney Star Wars Shit on every level...
As long as content like this is created, Star Wars is still very much alive!
Heck yeah! More on the way
When a fan film is more entertaining and interesting than current garbage produced. Felt mystery and wonder as I watched it.
The use of the score was impeccable. Good short film that kept the real Star Wars feel which is most important.
Real Star Wars, not Disney junk
Great film and great audio as well. FULL! Sounds especially great on the big system. Thank You.
Loved the use of shadows and how showed the use of shields without them being seen.
Great Job with the music it hits so right
The fans are making the best Star Wars everything now. Fan made is the way to go now.
love it. Disney could learn a lot from you and other Star Wars Fan creators!
Impressive ! Very well written and the CGI are awesome. Congratulations !
