What do you want to see next? Clone Wars era?
Hands down: one single star destroyer who could accually win without killing everyone in the galaxy is far more intimidating than a fleet who obviously doesn't stand a chance against the plot.
I really liked seeing the First Order not be incompetent for once, some of the fleet actions and the ships seemed to die easily but thats within the limitations of your work so it's fair, but far too often the enemy is seen as incompetent and no real threat.
Well if writers put a "General" commanding a Navy fleet... after getting 5 minutes of your mom jokes, we all know its written badly on purpose...
@@michaelfinger6303 I think Hux freaked out about the Mom thing because he was born out of wedlock..... I am not joking that is Canon. Also his father was abusive.
Blame Disney and Kathleen K. Kennedy for being so criminally retarded
@@michaelfinger6303Disney doesn't have 'creative' writers anymore.
*I like how you put Coruscant as the capital of the galaxy, because the Hosnian Prime system was destroyed in Episode 7, and they would probably move the capital back on Coruscant.*
In spite of how much I DEPISE the age of the resistance, he rise of skywalker and that petty excuse for a new star destroyer, this is amazing.
7:20 was NOT expecting that!!!
Loved it till the end. Felt like a cop out having him hyperspace ram. Also mon cal ships are know for their shielding, those ties wouldn’t take out the shields that easily and in a 5 v 2 shoulda been able to destroy those star destroyers
Actually they could. In TLJ, Kylo Ren went through Raddus shield, not weakening it. That's because most heavy ships are not that good in defending themselves against a squadron of starfighters because they're so small and can penetrate ships shield easily and not damaging it. You can say that Star Wars shield are kinda dumb in all way
@@mfinland2767 no it’s bc they diverted their shields to the back
@@Coley0120 you are correct
yea
This was such a cool film to see. The fact that you addressed That One Star Destroyer (tm) from Episode 9 and actually had the situation have some level of stakes really made the film for me. Amazing work.
Also Poe.
This is Poe.
❤️❤️🥰
@Sylvester Quinn I actually didn’t know that! Thanks!
7:27 "Hello boys! I'M BAAAAACCKKK!!!!"
😂🤩
Fin: "That crazy sonuvab##ch did it!"
Edit: noticed as well that just as the star destroyers main canon is ready to fire, theres a soundclip from independence day as well, hidden in the commlink
"They're preparing to fire their primary weapon!"
Did Poe just sacrifice himself?
Nice
I love how the NR-2 Y-wings have the plating and coloring of old republic Y-wings
The New Republic, like the old, can probably afford some higher-grade maintenance/repair practices to keep engine cowlings on regularly.
That's Gold Squadron what are you talking about?
I also like how they’re slightly kitbashed to resemble an upgraded form of y wing that the republic was producing
@@FQP-7024 While that's true, they definitely got upgrades to their y-wings. They look like old republic y-wings without the engine plates
Republic, not old republic
The video's animation was created very well despite lack of detail on some ships, but we all must remember this is a fan film, and for it to be this good deserves more praise. I like this video, it would make sense that some first order and palatine's fleet survived and this makes a good ending/response to it.
Much appreciated!
Congratulations on actually giving me an emotional reaction to anything involving the new canon.
Excellent work from a loving fan of Star Wars.
This isn't cannon you fucking idiot
Shawn Hogan Ladies and gentlemen, we have a genius here. Everybody clap.
Zachary Dom Making the viewers emotional was my goal🥰❤️
Long have I waited...
...to see the NEW FREAKING REPUBLIC NAVY instead of the pitiful resistance. Even despite them not really doing much. Love this film.
The Resistance was practically wiped out at Crait, and the New Republic collapsed with the destruction of the Hosnian system. What we saw at the end of The Rise of Skywalker was what came to be known as the Free Worlds Fleet. You might have noticed in The Rise of Skywalker that one First Order general comments to Allegiant General Pryde that it's not a true fleet, just...people. Tens of thousands of ships without a centralised leadership until they arrived at Exegol, where they voluntarily submitted to the joint command of Poe Dameron and FN-2187 Finn. Perhaps the New Republic might have been restored just afterwards, but at the time of the Battle of Exegol there was no New Republic and the Resistance was just getting back on their feet.
@@Robert_Douglass massive fleet from all of the galaxy without centralized command... Has the majority of the galaxy been anarcho-syndicalist for all these years?
@@henrykkeszenowicz4664 I think it was more like they had finally had enough of the big bully on the block, and they all rose up as one against the First Order and the fleet of the Sith Eternal.
The thing about that is, it's a big galaxy out there. Neither the Empire nor the First Order after it could be everywhere at once...at least, not until the galaxy got their first look at the Xyston-class Star Destroyer. All the power of both Death Stars compressed into a ship nearly twice the size of the older Imperial class. And when the Emperor sent out his last transmission to the galaxy, about "all worlds, surrender or die", he made it clear there were thousands of these terror weapons. And for the first time the galaxy realised that the reborn Galactic Empire *could* be everywhere at once. Whether the Emperor thought the galaxy would finally give in to terror and submit, or whether the uncounted quadrillions of sentient beings throughout the galaxy remembered what the Emperor's final orders did to the Empire after his death, the point is a decision was made by the whole galaxy.
Enough was far more than enough.
It didn't matter whether the Empire could kill thousands of worlds simultaneously now, what mattered was what needed to be done and when. When the tens of thousands of ships from the last remaining free worlds left in the galaxy arrived in the atmosphere of Exegol, they all knew then that if anything was to be done it had to be now or never again, and all or nothing. It was their absolute last hope for freedom and peace in the galaxy, and if they failed, they failed forever.
Hell yeah!
Would’ve been nice to see a Mon Cal cruiser sacrifice itself by going in front of the Xyston’s beam before it could hit Coruscant. That would’ve upped the stakes a bit before the final sacrifice done by [the X-Wing].
Yeah becous a few meters of steel are defenetly going to effect the PLANET KILLING laser in any meaningfull way.
@@yoschiannik8438 A kilometer or two of steel, plus gigatons of shielding power. Yes, i think that would save quite a few dozen skyscrapers from immediate destruction, and subsequently give thousands of Coruscanti's more time to evacuate. :P
@@UGNAvalon 2 kilometers are nothing aginst a wepone designed destroy a object 2000 kilometer in diameter. And also how would this safe a few skyscraper? Did you even watch the movie. This Weapon rips planets appart by blowing up its core. The planet is gone with or without the mon cala ship.
@@UGNAvalon And also the pepole on corucsant are not in the possetion of plot armor. So forget any form of evecuation

@@HellebustCG And I appreciate you sharing your hard work with us ♥️
Alex Adama: Captain's log April 15 2293 the wheel has come full circle. there has been a great adjustment on my ship with the loss of admiral amitage hux chief of Starfleet security (S31) and well Rey and Ben Solo have started a family on tatooine. even Finn has joined my crew with some new personal on the Enterprise witch was the Hood but then I feel at times that I'm an old veteran of Starfleet. Admiral Kirk has asked me to continue exploring the final frontier so I started at the Atlas system. My new assignment is confront a rogue Vulcan near this sector of Atlas. Admiral Kirk has gotten me an answer the selaya is commanded by Tyrell she is some how with 2 resurgent class star destroyers and a Xyston class star destroyer with planet killing abilities. I've taken a task force of 9 starship's to patrol the area we don't know what Tyrell is looking for out here but I'm on finding out. President Sheridan II is with a small fleet of ship's lead by a redstar class Battlestar in a meeting in Atlas until we know what going I was sent in for a closer look.
David Sheridan 2: greetings general
Poe: David are you piloting the falcon?
David Sheridan 2: yeah
Alex Adama: general this is Captain Odom aboard the USS Enterprise it's usually named the USS Hood but Admiral Kirk decided to have it changed he told me to do what he should have done finish on the final frontier
Poe: what ship is with those three Star destroyers?
Alex Adama:those three ships are around a Vulcan vessel named the selaya under command of a Vulcan name Terrell. Apparently she's caused a lot of trouble lately I have been ordered by Starfleet to apprehend this woman the three first order ships you're clear to open fire on them.
The resistance galactic rebels know how to fight back
@@HellebustCG This is nothing short of *astounding* ... and I don't usually give that sort of compliment. I just saw someone else's Star Wars fan film and was amazed that they did it with a crew of like 10 instead of 200. You did this whole thing (other than the modeling of the Falcon) all yourself ?!!
Absolutely mind blowing... and your work rivals that of ILMs ! How long did it take you to do this? Actual work time with no interruptions? What were the render times like? Are you a pro in the biz? This work looks as if you are! MAJOR kudos!!
This is so good it feels like an unrendered part of an actual film
Kyle Yuen Thanks!
Yeahhhh!!!!! And the music!!!! Very Star Warsy!!!!
@@MARQUE9368 It is from Star Wars lol
AHHHH THIS IS AMAZING i'm so glad the Derriphan got some love rather than just dying offscreen with the rest of the FO, if this were included in TRoS it's make the 1000x better with a meaningful sacrifice and death (given enough build up, ofc) like. this is great. the good guys won but at a cost and without making the baddies seem like total incompetent losers, gotta love that
This is cool dude. A lot of this reminds me of the Battle of Scarif where the star destroyer is disabled, the x wings flanking left and heading to the XSD, etc.
WOW!!!!! I love it!!!!!!!
I would buy two or three DVDs of this one. Thank you for sharing this news.
Did you just reference Independence Day with Poe sacrifice?
Harvester Commander thankyouu for noticing that!🥺❤️
@@HellebustCG I knew something was feeling right about this and I think you have made a better 10 minute short Film than Disney 6 movies in a row i congratulate you and will observe your career with great interest
Fernando Queiroz Popovic Forever greatful❤️
Fernando Queiroz Popovic Correct!
Ah yes, the Casse maneuver, which Admiral Holdo stole, and even copy-pasted her own name on.
"This is Captain Sisco of the USS Defiant. That was an amazing battle you had. We teleported General Dameron out right before his fighter crashed. How many gallons of icecream will you trade for him?"
Damn I was not expecting Poe to sacrifice himself I bet they would never do that
Because it did not make any fricking sense. 2 Star Destroyers vs 5 Calamari cruisers and the penis laser is not even strong enough to directly destroy a Calamary cruiser. And the Star Destroyers already ran from the first battle. So it was pretty much senseless to have a sacrifice scene against a vastly inferior force.
To put it bluntly this type of story could also have come from Disney writers.
Because poe is an interesting character
@@phelanwolf6747 yeah, just Disney writers dont do animation and all same time
@@phelanwolf6747 at least give a little credit to the guy who did the animation
I hella laughed when he sacrificed himself. He was like, lemme copy Holdo. I enjoyed the Fan Made, Definitely entertaining but what is star wars if it made sense anyway.
1:09 This what the T.R.O.S Ending finale should look like!
Did you use the generals voice line from Independence Day?
They’re beginning to fire their primary weapon.
10/10
Theo Ross indeed i did😂❤️
Nice catch
Lol I barely caught that. I was like wait 🤔🤔 I know that voice
That was indeed the late Robert Loggia
Finishing with a Holdo Manoeuvre is pretty tongue in cheek.
Woah! This is amazing!! So obvious that a lot of passion, talent and effort went into this, and the result is just fantastic! Great work! Big fan!
MarcOmega Thankyou🥺
the fighters fighting scenes definitly could use more work, but man I can't tell you how happy I am that someone else other than disney can make star wars content. keep it up
Thankyou🤟🤟
It slightly feels like when the empire went hiding in the outer rim to start the first order AND I LIKE IT!
Love how R2 is ejected out of X wing and into falcon
Great film. Gave Poe a better and far nobler ending than the canon films ever did. And the fact that although he's sacrificing himself for the greater good, he saves R2 from a firey fate. Awesome!
this looks awesome.... BUT i would like to see how the Empire wrecks the rebel scum... would be more realistic... as realistic Scifi can be.. :D
THANK YOU. Thought I was the only one
you what is said this would have been a better ending than what we got in rise of skywalker
The end of TROS just copied the end of Endgame (the portals scene=the ships arriving, I am inevitable=I am all the sith) and it didn't work very well.

I hope they make a show like that, I really like the aesthetic of the sequel era ships and equipment.
@@sam8404 they did, it's called Resistance. It's not perfect but pretty good.
@@DaleTuck31 that isn't what we're talking about (Resistance is more anime style, not Clone Wars style) and the show is far from good, it's actually pretty bad.
@@sam8404 wrong, but you can have your opinion
@@DaleTuck31 you're in denial friend. Resistance is a crap show, that's an objective fact. It's nowhere near the quality of TCW and Rebels, both in terms of animation and writing. And for its lifetime was consistently one of the lowest rated pieces of SW media.
Yes no that's what I'm talking about🎉🎉🎉 Star Wars lives on in this video!!! Awesome job
One minor detail: the XWing can't fly in hyperspace with it's wings unfolded
john doe And the basic TIE Fighter had no hyperspace engines.
@@rcschmidt668 The Old Empire had TIEs that weren't hyperspace-capable. The First Order fixed that with their emphasis on survivability in combat instead of overwhelming an objective by sheer weight of numbers. The Old Imperial TIEs were made to be expendable -- this was not the case with First Order combat spacecraft. Hyperdrive, shields, life support, these things were added to First Order TIEs to make them capable of not only surviving a combat engagement, but also winning.
🇨🇴👋🙋♂👍🤝Estupendo, alucinante
Really great love the updated Y-wings. Wish the Mon Cals did a bit more but still great battle
This is all we liked from the Star Wars concepts of battles in space.
Holyyy crap. I forgot to add.. you misspelled RESISTANCE! lol Today I just rewatched this..ammmmaaazing!
Nice work Return Nerds
My expectation:
The star destroyer goes on a rampage and destroy every planets on it's way.....
Excellent. A great example of what one can do with Blender!
This mon cals would have obliterated this Star destroyers
That's hard to say, it appears they were using 4 MC85s and an MC 80, each having an armament of about 60 total cannons, which put the new republic at 300 combined guns.
A single resurgence class star destroyer has a compliment of 1,500 cannons. The xyston class star destroyer also has about 100 cannons in total and a super laser.
There is a reason the rebels and the residence relied so heavily on their fighters. In terms of Capitol ship firepower, the empire and first order almost always had them outgunned, as star destroyers were designed around combating multiple capital ships.
Andy Wilson you right expect that the mon cals shields are extremely powerful and would have hundreds of fighters. And the new republic would have had more than 5 mon cals and some frigates and corvettes protecting the capital
@@thestarwarsgamer3258 They would have had some fighters sure, but so would the Resurgents. And the current F/O Tie fighters are just as powerful as current X-wings
Shark YT ok I just really like the mcs and I wish they were more powerful
I’m pretty sure the 1500 weapons figure is wrong for the Resurgent even though it’s on Wookieepedia
This was super fun and it felt like a proper sequel battle! It was cool seeing the New Republic take a few battle casualties for a change(Seriously tho they should’ve been called the New Republic from the beginning, Resistance just sounds disorganized). The good guys felt like a proper fighting force here!
My little nitpick is that maybe there should’ve been more MC-85’s and various other ships like the bunker busters just to make the good guys have their era specific fleets.
Spoiler below:
NOOOOOOO!!! NOT POE!!!!!

Thegamingteen44 amen xD
All likes on this post go towards the petition
Why am I only seeing this now!? its really good
I love the way this was made, and I appreciate your hard work, keep it up! Also, I think the bombs and torpedoes were kinda mixed up in my opinion, as in 4:19 X-wings drop bombs from the bottom, when Y-wings would usually do that. Also I am planning on making a "short" film where in my lore, The Republic Remnant(made of Republic and Separatist forces) goes against the main Fleet of the First Order, stationed at Fondor. Thus making the battle A giant Turning point in the battle between the 2 factions.
Great video! I think you planned this better than Disney planned the entire sequel trilogy! Lol

I know exactly where a ton of these models are from lol and it's really impressive how u can make free low res models look cool in scene
Lots of really good things in the video: the animation and movement of the fighters was spot on(lots of star wars animators have a hard time with that). the models looked nice if a little bland. the dogfights were very well choreographed. music that was chosen fit in with the scenes perfectly.
Some things that could be improved: consistency with the capital ship movement - keep them lumbering and sluggish, not Star Trek-like where the capital ships move almost like fighters. increase the volume of turbolaser fire with the capital ships(they seemed kinda static and uninvolved in the battle). as stated earlier, the models look nice but flat - the textures need to show more detail and battle damage.
Overall great work. I enjoyed it.
I'm very glad to see sequel trilogy era stuff. Great Job man!
So glad to finally see FIRST ORDER INTERCEPTORS!!! And I like that your Xston-class was a more-or-less normal sized ISD, makes way more sense than doubling the scale like the did in the last film. A much more satisfying ending all around.
I loved the General Grey line from independence day thrown in there
0:20 Resitance?
At first I was like, ohhhh, a niiicceee short fan film. Won't invest too much of my time. Now I wanna see morrreee!!!!
Star Wars enthusiast to the Max!
Ohhhh those y wings are beautiful... BEAUTIFUL!
Hyperspace ramming:::::I guess it's a thing now.
I suppose the empire or whatever didn't think just to bombard the planet from multiple directions using old freighters at hyperspace ram speed.
Yeah and every weapon ever made would be a hyperspace missile of some sort. You wouldn’t need kamikaze ships cause engineers would simply have built those weapons to begin with. Terrible idea.
@@cincomithell I had two reactions as soon as I saw it. First was..."oh that') looks so cool" the second was a half second later and was "they just broke Star Wars." Like putting a T-Rex in the second half of Hamilton.
_cough_ Galaxy Gun _cough_
@@UGNAvalon I don't think that was cannon...get it...cannon because it was a cannon....anyway, at least that was a huge thing that had to be developed to do a thing. Now any veh with a hyperdrive is a galaxy gun planet wrecker. It just sucked, man!
@@michaeldiebold8847 exactly, if any vessel with no necessary modifications to accomplish that much destruction can do it, then hyperspace becomes broken. I could buy that a superweapon could do such a thing. It's like with the death star, it shot a massive laser to destroy a planet, but that didn't mean that just any starship with laser canons could do the same. What a terrible idea, and execution!
Really good film, the sound was insane, better than a actual movie. some things you may want to fix (just my opinion)
A bit more details on the ship
The animations for the fighter seemed quite linear in a constant motion, some nice pull backs and other defensive moves would be cool
(That laser on the ISD was sick)
Maybe scale up the first order ships??
A bit more movie effects like vignette or something
The engine light on the ISD should have a bit less light?
Maybe more shadows?
Maybe have more realistic explosions? (Like in the movies)
Other than that, amazing video!! Great job
While some of the models look a bit wierd the way you managed to blend in the actual clips and lines from the movies is amazing and man I think this is just a amazing video you really outdid yourself
That's a TON of work...very entertaining.

You know things are bad when you prefer fan films and Disney content creators are ripping ships from RUclips creators.
Ripping ships from RUclipsrs? They made those ships...
@@DaleTuck31 It’s in the comics mainly with Fo ships being stolen from creators. There’s also a common belief that the TIE dagger was stolen from EC Henry but he debunked this
Still waiting for you to realize that about 90% of this fan film had an identical scene in the sequels...
Most space battle fan films are like kung fu flicks you skip the talking parts of all the non-English talk , and get right to the good battles. Same goes for fan films the ones that get my views get right to the fast paced action lots of fun. I don't care about the details I'm having fun.
So, at last. Poo was good for something. Nice!
yeah, but how does an x-wing destroy a star destroyer by raming it when a star destroyer weighs 5076 times as much.
Elliot Lovgren because poe knows where to hit it ;)
It's the same as Independence Day. Stick it up it's pee pee hole 😅😅😅
Actually it makes sense, if you were travelling at lightspeed and you hit one tiny particle you would instantaneously be pulverized. All the kinetic energy of the X-Wing has to be transferred to another form of energy = heat and some more kinetic energy. Heck you could take out a whole continent if you threw an X-Wing at earth at lightspeed...
