    I own a Vox MVX150 - they no longer make them, as guitar world probably didn't expect such a product from vox and it didn't sell good enough. But if you ever get your hands on the head or the combo, I encourage you to try it. It's packed with useful features like bias controls and the like and I think, it sounds utterly amazing.

    Great great playing man killer tones. I am truly curious as I am considering buying either of this amplifier or the new Friedman JEL 20, which would be I think it’s most major competition slight difference in price but very little overall my only concern with this amplifier is the fact that Friedman is known for their ability to be repaired. I know that the previous sheriff 22 and 44 were great amps also but as far as repairing them with the PCB boards stacked in there as they were, it would not have been easy, supposedly this is improved in that area but I do wonder about the transformers in this head. What kind of transformers are they and overall build quality as far as PCB on the Friedman all of the Jackson and everything are separate and not built into the PCB board again I think we do not expose the inside of this enough, although it has great tones thanks again 13:40

    Bravo, Andrew. One thing; I see they redesigned the Sherriff line. I briefly had a Sherriff 44 and it was terribly annoying in that, it took a long time to dial in, then if you turned the gain or master up or down one notch you had to redial the entire amp again. I returned it. Now I'm quite interested in the new Sherriff 100. I don't see you having any problem with this one, but have you heard of that problem on the old ones?

    Great review of a great sounding amp. With regard to the comment that 25 watts is for home use - not really (unless you live in a barn). Human hearing is logarithmic, so to achieve double the perceived volume, amp power needs to increase by a factor of about 5-fold. A 100 watt amp will be imperceptibly louder than a 25 watt amp. I have a 7 watt all-valve amp for home use (a Matamp C7 - Matamp being the people who made the original Orange amps) and it's painfully loud cranked.

      I tried the SC20 combo and thought it was tough to tame the highs, but then plugged into a cab it sounded amazing. I sent the combo back and got the head. I think the brightness is an asset as you turn it up. It sounds really good when you roll back the guitar volume for clean sounds because it doesn't get too dark. It is loud, though. It is tough to use it at my rinky dink bar gigs.

      @SG710 10 месяцев назад +4

      Because Marshall gives us the bare minimum for a similar price, but still has the same issues as it's always had. It only sounds good when the master volume is on max, the EQ section doesn't do anything and the amps are just too bright and often unforgiving to play. We want the Marshall tone, we don't want Marshall's baggage.

      In the US, a Marshall 20w JCM800 is $1750 for a single channel amp. The Victory Sheriff 25 is $1450 (or $1499 for the wooden sleeve) for two channels, and a bunch of other features.

BECAUSE, in addition to the preamp, it also has a Power Amp Sim, as well as CAB IRs, the only thing it doesn't have, that an 'amp' like the Sheriff has, by itself is the ability to drive s speaker at volume. And even that is not 100% true, as it CAN drive Headphones. All the important parts viz a viz the tone, response and feel is there.

    Nothing compares to an Orange Micro Terror 😁🙈 , i use it with the TC Electronic Plethora X5 and the Orange PPC212 2x12 .
    I always felt curious about Victory amplifiers as i saw them in some RUclipsrs videos on the back but i never saw them performing live/concerts like Marshall, Fender, Laney, Vox , MesaBoggie , so i always had the impression they were just some odd amp brand till someone have disclosed the all thing about Victory amps. Well now i know more about them but i still not getting the all fuzz about them apart from how expensive they are and not having a real pedigree like some of the brands i have mentioned above . Yes i see many RUclipsrs doing reviews about them (cash in ) but where are the references when it comes world musicians stars? I know many musicians have and they still using Fender hot rod /blues/deville, twin reverb silver , bassman etc , Vox AC30, Marshall Plexy/DSL and other well know brands like HVH , Roland (JC 120 ) Orange , Supro , Music Man .
    Not saying they are not good amplifiers but to me it feels more like an agend . Is like at start of the school year when there's that rich kid that almost nobody knows anything about but his friends they will fast start spreading how great and cool he his because he is very rich. We all know how this works this way they will have something beneficial to themselves.
    Once again not saying they are bad amplifiers but i just feel they are really not that great as they are portrayed in the videos reviews compared to other well know brands/models wich prices are more affordable and realistic to the product itself

    Sounds great, but much to expensive for this little lunchbox amp

      It really isn’t too expensive. Find me a made in England amplifier with these features and these tones for less

      @@TheGuitarGeek orange or 15 is still made in England if im not mistaken and it's less than a grand here in the USA.

      @@TheGuitarGeek How about a real Marshall, lol? SV20 is 900€. ST20 is 900€. SC20 is 900€. These are made in England, authentic Marshalls. The Sheriff is 1300€ so granted, it's not much more expensive, but still.

      Ha ha, best comment of the year. Probably not entirely true, but I think you can make most decent amps sound pretty close to how you want them to sound.

    At those prices nope, especially as amp Sims and modlers are starting to be cheaper and better sounding now. Amps are a dying tech and pricing themselves out of the general public

      I strongly disagree. There is a space for all of these products for quite a while yet. Some people will never use amp sims
