This video was made from visits in mid June and September of this year. Things were still quite cool overnight in June. Much warmer in September. The kayaking part was all from my September visit. The river canyons are so beautiful. A great place to visit.
Thanks for the nice comment. In the distant past I have a lot of experience paddling a canoe, but I am not very experienced in my inflatable kayak. This particular kayak is designed more for relatively fast paddling and isn't as stable as some. So I have to admit to getting a little nervous as I get further away from my starting point. It is nice to get on the water in any kind of boat.
As inflatable kayaks go, the model I have is made less for stability and more for speed. It isn't as wide as many and it is somewhat more "tippy". When I first get into the kayak, I often struggle a little to get comfortable and probably over compensate some. I usually settle down some and I think later in the video as I am under way, there is less side to side wobble. It is also possible that other kayakers may have better balance with this kayak.
Used to go here yearly. Went in May - too early. Was pretty much alone there but still had fun.

Very beautiful. Except, I'd of had that little boat upside down long before I went far.

Why the wiggle on the kayak? Is that just a balance thing? (no offense but I'm curious)
