Good to see you again Amesie. My first thought when you were looking for the exhaust manifolds in the trunk was "Check to see if they were left in the engine bay" ....and you eventually found them .... :) Cheers, and stay warm!
If I had to guess, that Cutlass is painted in "Firemist Emerald" which was a Cadillac-only color for 1970. When I was a kid, we had a Firemist Emerald 1970 Sedan de Ville; that was my favorite car. Good to see you back, Amesie!
It's great to see another video! Also, that Oldsmobile looks great, that green color is very close with the Saab Green Scarab shade. Looking forward to seeing more! :)
Nice Olds mate. I’ve just finished a full rebuild on a 66 425ci Toronado engine here in Australia. It is a one year only engine with minor component differences internally but all parts were available and sourced through Kleggs. Man, the stock cast iron inlet manifold weighs half a ton on it’s own. If your bores aren’t too worn and it’s only surface rust, try a wrap of medium to course scotchbrite around the flexhone to remove rust and is easier to clean than hone stone residue. Keeping it out of the Aussie cabbage.👍
Beautiful Cutlass. I took a break from watching RUclips for a while. Loved your vids, got tool ideas and repair ideas from them; cool to see a new one. I saw a bolt buster ad the other day and thought of you, haha.
I never got a notification from RUclips for your last videos, even though I clicked on the bell. Anyways, good to see you making more videos! Nice project ahead!
Beautiful car, one of my top wish list cars. I had a 72 S with the 350 Rocket, that thing was a rocket. Too bad the rust got to it, rear window and trunk rusted out. That is one car I wished I still had. Those valve covers must be custom/aftermarket, never seen a set like that.
Without being able to pull pistons out to wash down the cylinders after, I wouldn't be sticking a dingle hone in the cylinders. Too much risk of fine grit being left behind. Looks like little bit of surface rust. A Scotchbrite pad with some light oil on it should clean them up enough, and the rings should do the rest.
Dang RUclipss. They dick with subscriptions. Pees me off when they mess with mine . My cabbage salad is po’d too. Been wanting to watch and give thumbs ups. It’s all dickered
rocket was just an advertising gimmick, doesn't mean anything. the 350 in that car is no different than any other Olds 350. the owner should sell those valve covers
We missed you. Though maybe you were incarcerated for looking a at old SAAB's in fields again. LOL

Soooo... Speaking of cabbage - health circumstances dictate that I reduce potassium and phosphorous in my diet. Top of the good list: cabbage.

:)
Should be a relaxing build, no computers, electronics, or annoying emissions controls..
rocket was just an advertising gimmick, doesn't mean anything.

hi there, make a plan (plot_) long content videos with alot of work getting done...and minimum b.s. like the olds
Keep it out of the cabbage...
