That cable was probably cased with pitch on the outside. That's very similar to the type of cable that was first installed under the Atlantic to allow signal transmission between the UK, Europe and the US back in the second half of the 1800s...
Nice to see you back on an adventure video and on an E-Bike! E-Bikes offer cheap fast silent commutes unlike anything else. There is truly an E-Bike craze starting to pick up and the technologies have evolved like crazy over the past 5 years..I've been building my own E-Bikes for a couple of years now. I build my own Battery packs as well. Building packs is really what unleashes E-Bike performance and it doesn't have to cost a fortune. Hope to see you talk more about E-Bikes in future videos.
Good to see you, we share the inquisitive streak in our blood that makes us think what was that what did it do ? Like the cable it makes us wonder at that time it was new technology and we smile at how far we’ve come . I love digging around gotta snoop ! haha. Stay safe and show us more !
In the West coast of England you can see the remains of the first Trans Atlantic cable laid across the ocean to the United States. It is about 4" across and heavy, like your one. Imagine the conversations!
I accidentally sank my dad's company car in Brandy Brow pit in 1986. It was a Subaru Turbo 4 Wheel drive and I drove it into what I thought was a puddle but turned out to be several feet deep....
Im in the uk and I dunno how I came across your channel it's so out of my interest zone (I don't know much about american cars or interested in them), possibly from eric the car guy reecommendations, however hes become boring as hell and all commercial with his product placements that i unsubscribed, however i've stuck with yours for a long time now. Not every video has been my cup of tea, I like to see the hands on stuff and oily/rusty bits and the videos where you talk about finding stuff and history of stuff. Your saab 96 finding and saving and the sonet and the one in the woods videos were great to watch. Anyway now i got that crap off my chest I was just looking through your old videos the yesterday and wondered when you were going post another interesting video and poof here we are cheers :)
Great to see you again, Paul. And that beefy telephone cable was cool. I wonder if a ticker tape machine sent information down that pipe too. Really cool. Looking for part two, brother.
From the looks of the door striker posts on that chopped up Mustang, I'd say it was pretty much new or only a handful of years old when it ended up there. If it was older than that then the plating on those parts would have worn away and allowed rust to set in but they're still pretty much pristine...
Quite like this video interesting to see what laying about in the woods In UK we get burn out cars and Rubbish we do have dirty bikes in the woods the police arent that bothered about them
At the 10:31 mark there's a metal flap on the inner fender section that you rolled over and it was real close to your hand.... that has a partial vin number on it. Each side has one. They obviously didn't cut those off. You'd be able to get some info off of that.
that snowmobile is a late 60's skidoo. maybe a 68 olympic? also i think i spotted a buck tag hanging off the front fender apron at 10:28. might actually be able to get the vin for that stang
I would check yourself real good tonight after shower make sure you don’t have no deer ticks and get Lyme disease just a thought a buddy of mine is from that area he lives down here now anyway she got lime disease from the woods up there and that’s bad news and you can’t get rid of it there is no cure but anyway your video good sale. LOL I mention tech before I saw the end of the video LOL
Funny enough, I actually do know somebody with a fox body mustang who is slowly restoring his car. His is a 1986 5.0L. Perhaps he could use some parts.
The parts of the car are definitely 79-93 fox as you said. The vin tag where the dash would be has been drilled and removed. However the vin is still attached to the fender apron/front frame rail section you moved. Guess they didnt realize that.

How did the plans on your own shop go? I miss my old 2001 9-5 (had to scrap it), thinking of buying same gen 2009 and defacelift it to look like a 2001, alot of issues had been resolved with the 9-5 by then
Just think about the calls went through that wire..... '' hello operator ''.... '' Some sod has nicked my car ''... Yes its got a beer sticker on the rear yes 🤣😭
Amesie's Automotive Corner I have a white 68 96 that came from Georgia that I am working on and a white 68 Sonett V4. I am the 4th owner of the Sonett. The second owner really loved it so it is in pretty decent shape. Still needs some love though. Hope to see more posts from you!
@@AmesiesCorner yeah the guy two houses down has his own trail and is constantly going back and forth. The cops will never catch him because they won't find any truck or trailer to give him away.
l remember when the road was still open,
Me as well. Also holy crap on your 1.5 BILLION channel views..
@@AmesiesCorner Not even Mustie could get that snowmobile running again :D (yes it is a challange ;) )
Man I've never clicked on a video so quick good to see you back man have missed the adventure videos
I’ve missed watching your adventures and you in the woods with the rc truck.
Good you are back 😀 The first car looked like a 1970's era Toyota Corolla.
The car in the water looks to me like a 1977 Toyota Corolla. Give or take a year. Cool find.
That cable was probably cased with pitch on the outside. That's very similar to the type of cable that was first installed under the Atlantic to allow signal transmission between the UK, Europe and the US back in the second half of the 1800s...

Good to see you back Amesie, even if the featured cars defeated even you ! Ha Ha !
I read that in the Bane voice lol.
and another post at 138 Newton Rd., Haverhill, a few feet to the left of the telephone pole and behind the guard rail.
Very cool. The phone line was indeed a cool piece of history.

I like these exploring videos the best.
And then , there’s always the odd chance of finding that rare car you can drag home and restore … All for just looking … Thanks Paul , Good Luck !!!
It seems it's a Toyota Corolla KE30. The side rear window, rear light frame and the vent are exactly the same.
Yep, that's what I think, 1976 or so?
Good to see you again

Love the old SAAB in your emblem. Had a 96 (V4) as my first car.

I remember your 4 cycle warrior I saw it one day out there

If that’s a Toyota you could connect a battery on it and it would probably start.Greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪🤣

I can use the heater core lid on the A/C box in the fox body.

Probably one of the better condition New England fox body mustangs at this point.
You need to make more videos!

News article discussing lead-sheathed underground telephone cables: stopthecap.com/2018/09/26/atts-abandoned-wiring-oozing-lead-on-customers-property/
Boy I was pretty accurate about the dates and cable construction! Much appreciated the link, thank you.
1st one is definitely a 76 Corolla
Car in the water is a 1975-79 Toyota Corolla sedan.
That submerged car looks to be Saab from the rear quarter vents
Government stealing your stuff. :D
Hi Amesie do you still have your Saab 96? Have not seen a post in a while.
I still have everything but the Sonett. The orange car went to Holland.

is there any update to the Sonnet?
Is the peddle box still in the foxbody?
What happened to Amesie??
I got busy with work.
This is right behind my apartment. Constant dirt bike activity.
Hmm.. that would put you in the single story building on 108. At least you have a trail from your backyard into the pit.
@@AmesiesCorner yeah the guy two houses down has his own trail and is constantly going back and forth. The cops will never catch him because they won't find any truck or trailer to give him away.
'75-ish Corolla.
You got do-gooders all over the country that shut down any place where you can go out and play like that.
Now you're going to get busted your finger prints are all over it.
