What if some people are cool with stealing but you aren’t? Should the argument be “well, you just don’t steal because you aren’t about that life, but it’s fine for others to do”? What if some people are okay physically abusing their partner or their child but you don’t believe in it. Should the argument be, “that’s fine. Don’t hit your wife, but don’t try to take another person’s “right” to harm theirs?” You can throw in 10-20 more examples where this argument completely breaks down. It’s fine to do what you want with your body right up until the point where you are not physically harming someone else, much less ending their life.

I was around before Roe V. Wade; I remember when one of the girls in my circle of friends got pregnant from rape. And we all scraped together our allowances (at age 15 )so that she could have an abortion (in a back alley). It turned out the "Dr." wasn't even a doctor. She was rushed to the hospital where she lost her ability to have children for the rest of her life.😢

Second, whatever a woman does with her body is none of my business. Third, whatever faith or religion a woman or man chooses to follow, is none of my business. Finally I fail to understand why theirs are so obstinate in their perception that they have any rightful opinion of another person. But, I do believe that with all of this noise from certain groups on the right, why are none of them saying anything about the male responsibility of providing for any child that bears their DNA, from shelter, clothing, medical and health related issues, to a proper education including college or university, and that said male pays every last penny.

@davidshep45 - If you are old enough to have sex, then you should know that many times a medical abortion is done when the fetus (baby) is already dead. Sometimes, a significant part of it has already begun to rot and has been spit out by the body. There are lots of reasons for it, but unless that chunk of rotting meat is surgically removed, the female will end up sterile or dead. Yes, it's possible to wait and to condemn a woman to a lifetime of internal scarring, digestive obstructions, and diarrhea as well as preventing her from having any normal deliverys in the future. Why would you want to do that when all you had to do was let the doctors go in. Most of the time, they would simply dilate the womb and scrape down the insides (just like cleaning off your kitchen counter). Doctors merely call it a "medical abortion" when it's understood that the "remains of conception" are the reason for the blockage. If the blockage is from unknown causes, doctors simply call it a D&C, or dilation and currattage.

I do know that as a person with depression who is at risk of s-ic-de, when my mood is low and then PMS hits bad, I end up in a hospital with people trying to save my life, AGAIN. b/c blunts the PMS just enough to hang on to my sanity, even if the depression is bad in that moment. I'm fortunate that actually PMS is pretty rare for me, but given the potential consequences when it happens, I take the pills. Maybe there are side effects. Maybe there are side effects for some people that are different or worse than the side effects experienced by other people. We're all beautifully unique. But I can guarantee that, no matter what the side effects, there will be times for some people when these pills are necessary. And no pastor, preacher or politician should be able to take a view on that. It's none of their business. If you want to campaign to raise awareness on side effects, fine. But don't change the law just because you don't wanna take the pills.

I take that as a mood stabilizer. They really have no clue cause they’re not doctors.
They don't need that to regulate their periods. I don't know why people are told that. The pill has loades of side effects especially as they get older

Idk about side effects.
I do know that as a person with depression who is at risk of s-ic-de, when my mood is low and then PMS hits bad, I end up in a hospital with people trying to save my life, AGAIN. b/c blunts the PMS just enough to hang on to my sanity, even if the depression is bad in that moment. I'm fortunate that actually PMS is pretty rare for me, but given the potential consequences when it happens, I take the pills.
Maybe there are side effects. Maybe there are side effects for some people that are different or worse than the side effects experienced by other people. We're all beautifully unique.
But I can guarantee that, no matter what the side effects, there will be times for some people when these pills are necessary. And no pastor, preacher or politician should be able to take a view on that. It's none of their business.
If you want to campaign to raise awareness on side effects, fine. But don't change the law just because you don't wanna take the pills.

I was recently talking about how Caucasian women got to vote back in 1920. African-American women got to vote back in 1965.
