Rodrigo considered this set his best piano work, and he was right. I would go as far as stating this is among the best of all Spanish piano music. Hardly anyone could so astutely and uniquely blend the past and the present as Rodrigo, writing neoclassical music so spiced with bitonality and dissonance. These are very difficult works (or at least some of them), and I can't imagine anyone play them better than Pizarro does here. Many thanks for posting ! This deserves so many more views, likes, and comments. But I guess it is not music for the masses. There are even four dislikes, bah... I you don't like the music pass on, don't piss on it.
