OMG this was SO helpful. Thank you SO much! I took notes for myself to simplify it, and I thought I'd share: Scather: Big enemies first Mendicant: Healer Mitigator: Weak enemies first Challenger: Ranged enemies and magic users first Utilitarian: Attacking enemies they know tactics about first Guardian: Protects Arisen, fighting enemies that close in on you Nexus: Ally medic- Carry knocked out pawns to Arisen, select "Help" for them to heal and protect the others Pioneer: Selecting "Go!" They'll wander further away, grab items, destroy crates, etc. Acquisitor: Gatherer of loot more often (Most pawns do this if Arisen grabs loot frequently) Buying elixirs to change Inclinations: Neutralizing Elixir resets all inclinations- making them a clean slate. NOTE: Neutralizing Elixir is NOT available to buy until you've completed the "Reward and Responsibility" quest. The first one you drink will be Primary (1st one) The second one you drink will be Tertiary (3RD one for some reason, which is always hidden) The last one you drink will be Secondary (2nd one) I hope this helped, too! Feel free to add me on PSN (for PS4 version) if you want a badass Sorcerer or Mage! I can switch anytime. (My username is also SunBunz)
Glad the video was able to help, and thanks for posting these notes. The game doesn't go over the process very well. (I don't have a ps, I'd add if i could lol)
By the Emperor thank you so much, ive searched through Many Pages and i never seemed to get it right. This legit is the most helpful DD video ive ever seen, cheers🎉
I think you told them the wrong way to set your inclinations. Use the 3 5 7 9 method, 3 is your fourth skill, 5 is third, 7 second, 9 first. Drink the 3 first (sets it at one, but goes down list as you drink others) and end with the 9, all four should be set correctly. B
Well duh it all makes sense now 😏 I never really even noticed this aspect of the game. I’ll definitely be experimenting with this. Thanks Mavey useful as always
No problem :D yeah the game does a poor job going over this, I thought a simple guide would be great for everyone, hopefully this will help your pawn act as the class they've been assigned.
I got the game last Christmas and loved it. I am at level 37 and have not done any quests on BBI. my RiftCrystal balance is about 13k. Please show me How can someone have his RC in the 100k/millions! I am in awe!
once you reach BBI, it's like a whole new realm of power and financial level, you'll start getting tons of currency and powerful gear :) but remember to enjoy your journey up to that point too.
Any other new players who decided to free roam around the whole map as soon as they got to gran soren? Everyone was all like wait here a little while into we talk to the king about your victory over the Hydra. And then i walked out the city gates and didn't return into like 40 lvls later. I been everywhere from black water beach to blue moon tower. Just aimlessly exploring. Now I'm back in gran soren doing the main quest the captain guy max or whatever his name wants me to do. Now some things started to make sense. Like those guys to the north talking about the dragon. I just randomly found them earlier and was like a cutscene here in the middle of nowhere?
you only need one potion to clear and set the inclinations, but if you notice after a while things start changing you can do the process again, I don't think these stack
@@MaveyReal i see, i’m still near the beginning of the game. I am investigating the cult. When does ‘Reward and Responsibility’ become a quest for me? I tried to look into it but found no answers.
You can't buy the Neutralising Elixir until the certain point. And it looks as if there is no way to changing Primary Inclination before that. Which doesn't really work that well for me...
I'm just learning this gamea and I'm now level 30 and my mage pawn is also around there. I bought three elixirs, utilitarian, medicant and scather. I wanted to set up my pawn to be 1.Utiltarian 2. Medicant 3. Scather.. So I drank them in this order, utiliitaran-scather-medicant, which should produce the desired results correct? Instaed it only changed my secondary to medicant but left my primary as acquisitor. Maybe it's not working because I didn't drink a neutrilizer elixir first, but he doesn't even have that in his inventory for me.
Omg I didn’t know it was that important and now my 2nd main pawn that i created is a guardian-nexus-fighter.... and i can’t buy those potions of course
@@MaveyReal yes not enough crystals, but I just started a new game lmao. It okay i was only level 6 or something. Now i have better looking characters and better inclinations :) I still have one question tho, should i worry about the inclinations getting changed by in game actions?

Why couldn't they just make it so that each class behaves the way you expect: Tank = takes aggro Healer = tries to stay safe and heal while dealing some dmg in meantime Dmg dealer = tries to stay safe and deal dmg Not big fan of these inclinations... Hope they get rid of it in next game and make it automatic based on class
Inclinations in Dragon's Dogma is something that is loosely explained and widely looked over. I hope this guide helps all of you out!

It’s good to know there’s other people that still play this game
I feel the same way, i love this game :D
Lol I still play it until dragons dogma 2 comes out
2024 February. Hell yea!
I love this game but man this inclination stuff was unnecessarily complicated thanks so much for this video.
Yea it doesn't have much info explaining it :D no problem, thanks for watchin'!

Thanks so much bro of all the dragon's dogma guides on inclinations yours is easy to understand and actually works liked and subscribed on the spot.
Glad I was able to help 😀 Thanks for the support.
Just playing this for the first time cuz it was like $6 on xbox and looks amazing. This video was very helpful. Thx a lot! 👍
No problem! Glad to help, and that's a great deal! The game is amazing indeed.
Finally, an explanation to this system
yeah the explanations everywhere are abysmal, I wanted to simplify it. Hope it helped you out!
Finally someone explains it properly, ty. Subbed
Found your video from reddit! Keep up the great work. Hope both of our channels keep growing. Just subbed!
Thanks! I don't post to reddit often but thought this vid was worth it :D I hope both of us find success as well!

Thank god im not watching that other 18minute video, this is just straight forward no bs talking😂
how it should be
Just got the game for 4.99 and found myself a hidden gem
an amazing deal, a great time to get into it before the second game comes out.
Hardly hidden, but a gem none the less.

Idk what happen but I can't find the neutralizing elixir ... probably because its pc

That neutralizing elixir is not present
it becomes available after you finish the main quest "Reward and Responsibility"

yea you have to complete the Reward and Responsibility quest first.
Does drinking a fourth elixir set a fourth inclination?
no im pretty sure it just overwrites one of them, I forget which. Since there's only 3 slots, it's all we have to work with :)

they adjust automatically to your playstyle I dont waste rc on drinks they'll just revert back after a while anyway
