I had to reupload this video because I had the brilliant idea of using the game's own soundtrack as background music and I got 3 copyright claims because of that so I had to remove the music, which makes the video a little it too monotonous at times but it should be ok. Regarding those who are having issues glitching inside the Moonbeam doors I updated the description of the video to address the issue: It seems that shorter characters are unable to perform this glitch. While testing with different heights I was unable to glitch inside with characters that were shorter than 174cm and had lots of trouble with characters that were shorter than 184cm. At 184cm and above it was easy to glitch inside. If your character is too short and you are unable to glitch inside you can remake your character by going into hard mode; if already in hard mode you can change difficulty to normal in the in-game menu, save and quit the game and then start hard mode again. After doing the glitch and getting all the items you want you can then remake your character by going into hard mode again as it's not necessary to perform this glitch ever again.
you should have used the old buy 99 carrots wait 3 days by resting and sell mouldy carrots to get mega very erly gold the old lady in the 1st town sells them
Didn't see this in the description but... do the double xp effects stack with the Charm and the Blessed Flower you get from Quina at the Abbey once you do her quest before finishing the Everfall quest then talking to the Duke? If so that could be even faster
i mean, yeah the glitch does save time, but if you just want the ring you can still do this all legit, you just need to run down to Midnight Helix, grab the void key and then grab the first moonbeam gem in warrior’s respite. the door glitch is only necessary if you want more than 1 item, which isn’t really necessary because the only other item you can realistically use at the time is the ring of desiccation, which is basically a waste of a ring slot
@@scrat9870 Ring of dessication is useful in some BBI areas because it's super annoying to reequip lantern every time. And if your character is short you get drenched constantly.
@TJ_ the_Insane Nah it won't die, it'll just drop to it's knees and stop while at basically negative hp, kicking it drains it's health so when it's fully depleted you just won't be able to kick it without it stopping, and if you hit it it will also drop
@@AdolfHitler-pm3lc sure but it can be healed so if you have a healer pawn just make sure you have some form of grey damage and ask for assistance , place the health bubble in a way he walks through it for a while Idk if the robe also works, never knew that one with a healing aura existed
@@methanesulfonic Get a ton of stamina curatives. Then just run. Don't stop and whenever you're about to run out. Eat some stamina curatives and continue running. If you push up on the left stick then you should still continue running when you exit the menu. Also put portcrystals on the edges of the map. As well as important locations that are an arse to go to
My only complaint about dragon's dogma is instead of creating a "hub", there should've been more other towns and cities... overall the game should've been bigger. Besides that 10/10
I feel this, at least having one larger hub area per "area" of the game, a few different things between them beyond layout like NPCs and shops and it would've gone from Gold to Gold+

Statgrowth being tied to the currently active class was my other big issue with the game, Constantly keeping track of your exp and heading back to town to switch class for the level up kill, then switching back, wtf were they thinking lol
Some aditional tips: - After reaching lvl 10 you can change your vocation if you have enough points, you can talk to Olra (the blonde woman in Bitterblack) to do this since is faster that reaching to Gran Soren and better because that way you don't mess up your stat growth. - If you are a strider you can use " Helm Splitter / Skull Splitter / Brain Splitter" to jump from the begining and negate all fall damage. - If you are a sorcerer, you can pick up "Exequy" which will kill small fries almost instantly, and for any other creature you can just use "Focus bolt + Holy enchancement" (Petrify is also very fun and really good to get easy kills on Eliminators) - If you want to level up faster, kill everything in bitterblack with throwblasts, you can literally kill Daimon and Death with this method it's just broken af (when buyin throwblasts, you don't need to put them all in your inventory, you can buy them and have them send to the inn storage, just press R1 or RB when buying it will be the last option ) God knows how many hours I've played this game, and is the first time I've heard about glitching through DuskTower doors, also I dind't know marker's finger could kill a cursed dragon on one shot, great content @Vahellis
@@REGULARG if u want even more tips here is more: - You can get explosive arrows for the yellow vocations wich HEAVILY increase damage, and also if u put 4 periapts you can deal even more damage (u can get them in gran soren after doing some missions for the duke) - u should always have periapts and curatives at hand(i like to use large moshroom and potent greenwarish but i can use anything that replinish stamina and health) - The best vocation for soloing bbi or the entire game is easly the assassin, u can do it in all the other vocations but this is MUCH BETTER for solo players

First time I played the game it was getting dark and night fell so it was terrifying and somewhat stressful to hear enemies all around, swooping and ambushing as I couldn't see. Felt properly thrilling
If you still play and you're still having difficulty with this glitch, like playing console and can't reduce your frames, here's what helped me: 1. Set up the first barrel like normal 2. Grab second barrel like normal 3. Enter first barrel and jump, like normal 4. While spamming jump, open your equipment and equip or remove any item 5. While continuing to hold joystick in the direction of the door, exit menu This should push the frames to the point of cutting through the door with a higher success rate. Hope this helps!
Finally, a guide that isn't about just hitting 200 as quick as possible, and is instead a fantastic way to boost yourself out of the early grind, whilst still keeping yourself at a low enough level to actually enjoy playing the game.

As someone trying to get into this for the third time (hit the 4-6 hour mark and dropped it twice before), I appreciate this comment. I was worried this grinding would put you so far ahead that it would make every encounter for like, *half* the game inconsequential, but it doesn't sound like that's the case. Cool. Thank you.
This is beyond dumb to me. I never seen or played DD before this month. I jumped into Hard Mode right away. Been playing normally, doing quests and such. There is no grind. The game's early stages are fun. Maybe for veterans it stops being fun but I see no reason to grind or skip content.
In all seriousness this is like the only game ever that actually succeeded in having good action rpg combat and open world at the same time. Usually open world games have terrible combat compared to instance based games not sure why.
for me it's Kingdoms of Amalur that managed to same, this game was a bit overwhelming to get into and every time i try to get back to it it's just not happening, even this video is just tedious to watch
Same here. I have around 800 hours across two platforms and had no idea any of those gather points in Cassardis existed. Stuff like that is why I keep coming back to this game.
my very first time playing this game, i went to everfall and got to the part with the cyclops or giant or whatever it is. i was fighting it as normal with my pawns, then i grappled on to it as it decided that it didnt want to live anymore. it jumped off the edge of the staircase, and i cursed the entire way down, as i was still attached to it. I thought for sure i died, but when we hit the bottom, i had taken no damage. i have never been more confused and grateful at the same time
Just joined it. Bought a copy, playing through my first time and it's pretty damn cool. Love the battles a lot, and exploring is fun and dangerous if you stray too far.
@@sallgoodman2323 The exploration the first time around is hands down my favorite gaming experience ever. I remember exploring the woods around the Shadow Fort after doing that quest and running into a dragon. It killed two pawns so fast, I fled from it into the nearby quarry, which I had not been in before. I then spent the next hour+ painstakingly making my way through it, first trying to tackle the ogres, then just trying to avoid them. I didn't have any wakestones and my last checkpoint save was forever ago, so it was either struggle through it or go back outside and take the long, dragon-y way around.
Sure, as long as it doesn't go the way of many games these days and become trash. But I'm not expecting a DD2 ever, or at least not for a few years...but probably never.

I was climbing an ogre in the Everfall on the stairs. Somehow the darn thing fell off the side of the stairs and all the way to the bottom, and because I was climbing it I emerged unscathed and the enemy died. But that may not be a reliable method, lol.
@@charliekat8able That Ogre is partly scripted to fall down I think, cause it happens a lot. I'd like to ask; did you jump off of it before the impact?

Rather than farm the goblins at moonshower cliffs I reccomend the skeletons just outside the greatwall encampment. There's a wight there that spawns 7-10 warrior skeletons everytime you kill them and the spells it casts aren't very threatening. Each skeleton provides 3k xp on hard mode which makes discipline and xp farming a breeze. They are pretty tough for low level characters but you can easily kill the entire group with one or two throwblasts.
Suggestion for those following this guide. When you start the game for the first time, choose a different vocation from the one you want to play. Fighter for example if you intend to play a Strider. That way you unlock a 2nd profession for free. When you re-start the game in hard mode, choose the profession you do want to play. Another thing worth mentioning in hard mode must have augments, you really need Awareness also (From Sorcerer). It's the equivalent of Bastion but for Magic.
Hey guys a person who love short cuts I got 2 Tips for the glitching though the corners 1st: the glitch can be done much more easy when you first jump before moving your charater forward into the corner, I find the glitch to happen more reliably for me this way 2nd: When if comes to the barrel you use in the corner, you can actualy grab it though the doors on both sides its a small tip but for me I find I cant leave the room if the barrel is still on the other side
Dragon's Dogma has been my absolute #1 favorite game ever since it's release. I actually only bought it on day 1 to get the demo of Resident Evil 6. It's the only game I've been continuously playing since it got released. I can't wait for a sequel!

For the Moonbeam Door clip, I usually put the barrel down in the corner, grab another object, stand inside of the barrel and wait a few seconds for a small "thud" sound, which means the barrel has regained its collision again. Then, go into equipment, unequip a piece of equipment (usually the headpiece works for me though any should do; you can also equip something on your character, as long as it changes your character model in some way) and then as soon as you unpause the game, start mashing the jump button. Usually works for me first try. I'm assuming because the jump forces you out of the barrel's collision and your character model is refreshed when you unequipped something and unpause, both kinda help with the clip. Hope that helps anyone, sorry if it sounds confusing!
This works, but it's better than that: You don't even need to jump or hold another object, just put the barrel down in the corner, wait inside it for the "thud" sound and equip or unequip a gear piece like a headgear and simply walk/jog onward and you clip through the door.
@@gannielukks1811 I have had that work for me a few times but not as consistently. Also you can use this method to clip through other doors/gates too, like the Catacombs gates. Just watch that your pawns don't smash the barrels, they tend to destroy everything around them lol
@@gannielukks1811thanks for the tip. This is the best way, I equiped/unequiped a cloak and worked 100% of the time for all doors. No matter which side the barrel was on.
Regards to the glitch, maybe I found easiest way. It works with even smallest character 1: Prepare 2 barrels: A and B 2: Place A corner of the door and B beside it. 3: Ride on A and grab B from there. 4: Once you grab B , place it on A then B is in the air. 5: Grab A and keep jumping against B and the door and you can pass the door.
If you're playing on PC this is still doable! Just set your frame-rate from 60 to 30fps in the video settings. I'm playing as a small-ish female character and setting the frame-rate lower allowed me to do it the same way the guy in the video does. Hope this helps. :D
Well it's nice to see that people are still playing a underrated game such as Dragon's Dogma. I only wish that the community was bigger or that they made a Dragon's Dogma 2. Gods know we needs one
DD2 is scheduled to release in exactly 1 year from today (August 15th 2022) I've seen a few leaks and lemme tell you, it looks AMAZING!!! They added new classes, the armor looks great, there's mounts, pets, etc
I just got this for $10, on Kijiji. Bought it based on these RUclips reviews, and I'm blown away by the battles. They're chaotic, the hit detection is nice and crunchy, and exploration is dangerous and exciting.
alternatively, in the everfall as a strider, run towards the edge, and while running use the helm splitter skill at the very edge (WARNING : DO NOT JUMP) this make your character lunge forward and spin to the ground without taking any fall damage. Take the crystal, investigate the light and ferrystone / eternal stone out also, sleeping at cassardis is cheeper(50G) than gran soren(500G)
Just a thing about the Encampment Hydra, if you let the fight go on for a while, Mercedes will kick an explosive barrel to you, this will grant you a somewhat difficult to acquire foe knowledge early - using explosive barrels when the hydra gapes towards you. Might want to cut the head on first / Easy Mode start and use Mercedes' barrel on the Hard Mode start or vice versa.
Oh yeah I remember that fight. I thought you had to jump to actually move up a creature instead of just using the joystick. So cutting the head was an arse
And i still believe that he possess the viability to be the MOST impressive and enjoyable Open World RPG ever, if a lot of immersive things be added on a Dragon's Dogma 2. I clearly see the vast potential DD have, maybe even more than Capcom. Who knows what they're keeping from us ;x
I also found glitching through the doors this way a bit finicky but found my own method by jumping and as soon as you land, pause the game and change one piece of equipment. It instantly pushes you through without making you jump constantly

I beat the entire dark arisen section on my ps3 then moved to xbox one fresh level 1 after some years. I went back to bittle back isle after some complete playthroughs and getting some dragon forged gear, and was completely shell shocked about the difficulty. I honestly couldn't even remember how i did it before. At all. I was even thinking it was impossible, forgetting that i completed this before. The replay value of this game is beyond great.

Desperately waiting for the sequel. Aside from FROM's various games since Demon's, nothing has been a comparably good ARPG. Dragon's Dogma is kind of in a league of its own though since there's really nothing else like it. It's kind of a generic open-world game, but with combat that blows away every single open-world game before and after. It's like a modern take on their classic AD&D arcade games. It's also god tier when it comes to spell effects. There hasn't been a game remotely as good that makes the player feel like a badass spellcaster, even though some of the spells are impractically slow. The monster animations are top notch too, but that's to be expected since it's Capcom.
For new players trying this out!! When you restart in Hard mode you have to go to Pablo's Inn in the beginning town to get your items from the normal run back!!!!
This game have replayability, partnership (the pawns, some noobs doesn't appreciate them but OK) and a lot of customization. Is just insane the amount of gameplay in here, amazing.
So i found out its actually possible to use the dodge roll to get through the moonbeam doors, still need to place the first barrel but you can spam dodge roll instead of jumping with another object
@@Tronnort its actually a skill you can get to use with dual daggers, i believe you unlock it as a strider and then can use it as any class using dual daggers

I never finished the game and I don't have my physical copy of the game anymore. But I always loved thuis game. And now it's on sale in the PS Store for 10 euro. Think I am gonna buy it.
I should suggest you to buy it because you got some infinite fun when you get too far with your stronger Equipment. You should Play Dark arisen version since the Dungeon almost like Dark souls.

9:53 Just for anyone wondering, I've been following this guide step by step and was able to get into this room with the barrel on the right side. Since Vahellis used the left side, either side works for this door. UPDATE: You can also use a deer in a pinch if you don't see any small objects to carry through doors nearby! Still need a barrel at the corner though.
This can be done with a short character. I have mine set to shortest. What I did was: - set the barrel as you did in corner - set second barrel next to it - climb onto/stand on corner barrel and pick up 2nd barrel. (it'll pull you on top of the barrel like a ledge-grab) - place 2nd barrel atop the 1st (corner) barrel (can be tricky, but they will be almost perfectly stacked if done right. Barrels sometimes can break.) - walk off barrels and pick up bottom barrel. Top barrel will float. - holding bottom barrel, jump into corner as you do normally. This can also be used to exit some rooms, if there are barrels inside.
# 0001 I just recently got this game and that method does work (My char is 159 cm) but what I had to do was to jump until he runs out of stamina. Then my character staggers forward which is what gets him to clip into the doors.
Step 2 : wait a lil bit and be exposed in a museum,then you will become famous because some scientist thought that old *stoned* corpse were the most interesting thing ever
I'm not sure if it has already been mentioned but If you miss the arrow, get detected, etc. You can always go back and buy another arrow. You can only have the one in your inventory at a time. This video got me into dragons dogma btw, I've had a few playthroughs where I just got to the main city and quit. This game has quite a bit to offer and I can't wait to get further into it. I've watched this video like 3 times, and I'm finally doing it. You are a beast for making this. I loved DD when I played it a couple years ago, but the leveling is painfully slow.
Tip: Do all the same, but instead of the goblins you can go to the great wall and place the port crystal there, then go down until you face a dark sorcerer (or something), he will spawn a group of 9 skeletons, these skeletons give Boss level xp in hard mode (2350~, double with xp boost). They can be somewhat hard but most of their attacks are slow, use trowblast if too hard You will, literally, speedrun a stupid amount of levels by doing this, and vocations also Its the best way to min/max also
As annoying as it can be to be so easily stomped by brick walls in the beginning, I ADORE the power trip you get when you reach the point where you can just start hunting the biggest monsters for shits and giggles. Really feels like you earned hearing that awesome banger that is "The End of the Struggle".
Reminds me of Ymfahs videos in a good way. I'm glad someone did something like this for Dragons Dogma. Its the kinda game that has all kinds of weird and exploitable mechanics the average player will never use so its perfect for gimmick runs and cool prostrats.
Dude, I recommend playing it. Its only 20 gb storage 4 gb ram and its hella fun. You can pirate it from here: freegogpcgames.com/1938/dragons-dogma-dark-arisen/ (You need a torrent client like tixati or utorrent) which is where I got it from. You can try it out and if you domt like it just uninstall (please seed tho) but if you do end up liking it you can buy it on steam. Note that getting it thru the site I told you wont let you use the online features. And if you will buy it, get it from steam, since the gog community is very small. The online features are much better on steam. Or you could just buy it on ps4/xbox 1/ nintendo switch for $30(which is very cheap for a game on the switch(not to mention its such a good game))
One thing i noticed while trying to glitch through the doors is that its much more reliable when you jump straight up and then press forward when you start to fall rather than pushing into the door and jumping at the exact same time
I've had this video sitting in my Watch Later list for quite a while now and can I just say??? thank you????? like after YEARS of wanting to get back into this, I finally sat my ass down and got back into loving this game again.
This still works on the PS4 version as well in October, 2021. I made it into the first room on my first jump. Playing this on my PS5 and this is my first play through. The game is awesome so far. Being a fan of Skyrim, Oblivion, and Horizon: Zero Dawn, this definitely is a choice addition to my collection.

I think one of my favorite moments was making a young character, And then going all the way to Devilfire grove, killing my first Dragon (for that playthrough) and running and fighting my way to Gran Soren using the quarry mines, all this before I reached level 15, before getting any high level equipment, and before completing the cart escort with Mercedes. I had to save a lot. But it was gruelling in the funnest ways.
just wanted to post and say that if anyone is having trouble with the barrel glitch try making your character max height, it legit becomes 10x easier, learned from experience after playing a short character and wondering why I couldnt get it to work after spending 10 minutes trying.

In the 10 years the game has been out I've only just played this game last week and I am having a blast with it. I see why people have been asking for a sequel for a decade now! Im definitely gonna use this guide in my next playthrough just so I can blast through it and have fun quickly haha!
My favorite hobby is farming BBI with low lvl pawns owned by other players, if they survive the ‘trial’ and are helpful I buy or give them a higher lvl piece of armor as thanks 😊
Great video, one small note is that once you equip that master arrow and actually notch it into the bow you cannot move you are stuck where you are until you shoot it so get into position on that dragon really well before hand.

Ok so here's the breakdown of what I think is happening: When you place the barrel, it doesn't have collision for dynamic characters, possibly because this was a console game and the engine is probably postponing changing the barrel from a dynamic object to a static object in later frames. This is why, when you're inside the barrel and it becomes rigid again, the collision detection "pushes" you outside with a force and I think that happens _after_ the collision check with the door so you just go through the door. The reasons why this is important to understand are: 1-) It doesn't _really_ have to do with the character height. I tried it last night with a 178 height character and I was able to clip through the surfaces pretty consistently. The reason why height weighs into the calculation is the hitbox. If you have a larger character, you have a larger hitbox, therefore I think it's easier for the barrel to push you out, so it's definitely possible for characters with shorter heights as well, albeit a bit more difficult. 2-) The bigger the object you're holding, the easier to clip through the door. Again, I think it has to do with how the collision works. If you're holding a barrel and try to push through using another barrel, you could probably clip through easier. 3-) Since this has to do with movement, I think you can clip through doors without carrying anything as well. There's another door in the right hand side of the second floor and I could clip through it by placing a barrel found in an alcove with a bunch of dead skeleton bodies while carrying nothing. My vocation is Assassin and I have the dodge roll unlocked so what I did was, I placed the barrel then kept dodge rolling towards the corner of the door. It's more difficult this way than carrying something but it is doable and I got an enchanted shield without the door. 4-) For me, the side of the door didn't matter for placing the barrel. I just went through from both sides just the same. 5-) If you push yourself against the corner and try to grab, you can grab the barrel from the other side of the door. So if you run out of barrels in the room, you can do that to pull the barrel from the other side. So if you're having trouble with clipping through the door, do the jumping with holding a barrel and try to dodge roll option if you run out of barrels.
Just finished doing the door glitch, still works! Although my character's heigh was a lil below 170cm, it's still doable with a bit extra. Just wedge two barrels around the corner and it should still work.
I was really having a hard time with the big goblins, so I found just using Throwblasts on them made the discipline farming much faster (and could do them all in a single charm use). Sure you lose 1k per throw, but it makes up for it in speed.
I have like 100 hours logged into this game on Steam and I've only gotten like 5 achievements cause I keep starting over to try to make a more fun build. This video should finally encourage me to actually finish this god forsaken game
I am glad you mentioned the word FUN, for this is what these games are meant to be. People often are way too serious when they play, my advise is, win or lose JUST HAVE FUN.
Bit late, but I wanted to point out that it’s actually possible to clip through a 6th moonbeam door. There’s one off to the right of the upper area. It still requires a barrel (on the left side of the door this time) and a smaller item, but you can find enough of those around it to make it work. You do have to jump and drop a small item at the same time to get it there, though. It gives you the “Dragon’s Roost” Shield, which can be used on the Fighter and Assassin vocations.
Just a heads up.(I am not sure if they patched this or not in a random new update) You can use both the fighter and the Strider to glitch into the walls and grab most of those items. (Except for the Assassin/Strider Bow so thank you for the tip!) The Fighter has a skill called Blink Strike that can burst forward while the Strider has a skill called Biting Wind and they both allow you to do this Awesome Exploit! So what you have to do is go to barroch and talk to him for the free Liftstone (Or just buy one from him If you have the money) And go to the right where the stairs are. Now here is the complicated part (Also might wanna grab some healing items for this and save before dropping) Do you see that massive Greek pillar before you start going down the staircase? the one right to to the right of Barroch? That is where the magic happens! you can got to the beginning of the pillar leading to the staircase and use the either of the bursting forward skills and you should be stopped moving forward at the last bit and what you have to do is move backwards and it will cause you to trip and fall throught the stone! Then if you did it right You will land inside the wall and Bam! you now have access to four or five chests without to much difficulty and done a bit quicker! Another thing you might wanna do is grab some pawns and toss them into the chest areas and they will grab the items for you and you can grab all those cool items like the Ring of Perseverance, the Ranger Bow, the Trophy Vest, and the Adepts Robe without having to use the Liftstone! @@jakeldk6811 It's been awhile but lets see. When I said go beside the Greek pillar I meant that long thin strip of stone where you can walk. Next to the main staircase. near the first place you meet barroch (The man with the golden daggers you meet in that one cutscene) You go to the beginning of the thin strip of stone (make sure the followers don't jump in the way while doing the burst part.) and then you use the burst skill to move forward two or three times. If you do it right, near the end of the bursts your character should randomly stop and start wobbling as if they are about to fall through the floor. (This is where the potions come in handy.) You then make sure to fall towards the inner part of the staircase and you should fall Through the staircase and hit the ground! If you did it right you should have fallen fully inside the inner parts of the staircase. if not then you may have gotten stuck inside one of the many pillars just restart to the last save or use one of teleport stones. then try again.
If you have any questions please check the video description first. I had to reupload this video because I had the brilliant idea of using the game's own soundtrack as background music and I got 3 copyright claims because of that so I had to remove the music, which makes the video a little it too monotonous at times but it should be ok.
Regarding those who are having issues glitching inside the Moonbeam doors I updated the description of the video to address the issue: It seems that shorter characters are unable to perform this glitch. While testing with different heights I was unable to glitch inside with characters that were shorter than 174cm and had lots of trouble with characters that were shorter than 184cm. At 184cm and above it was easy to glitch inside. If your character is too short and you are unable to glitch inside you can remake your character by going into hard mode; if already in hard mode you can change difficulty to normal in the in-game menu, save and quit the game and then start hard mode again. After doing the glitch and getting all the items you want you can then remake your character by going into hard mode again as it's not necessary to perform this glitch ever again.

Didn't see this in the description but... do the double xp effects stack with the Charm and the Blessed Flower you get from Quina at the Abbey once you do her quest before finishing the Everfall quest then talking to the Duke? If so that could be even faster

i mean, yeah the glitch does save time, but if you just want the ring you can still do this all legit, you just need to run down to Midnight Helix, grab the void key and then grab the first moonbeam gem in warrior’s respite. the door glitch is only necessary if you want more than 1 item, which isn’t really necessary because the only other item you can realistically use at the time is the ring of desiccation, which is basically a waste of a ring slot
@@scrat9870 Ring of dessication is useful in some BBI areas because it's super annoying to reequip lantern every time. And if your character is short you get drenched constantly.

@TJ_ the_Insane Nah it won't die, it'll just drop to it's knees and stop while at basically negative hp, kicking it drains it's health so when it's fully depleted you just won't be able to kick it without it stopping, and if you hit it it will also drop

@@methanesulfonic Get a ton of stamina curatives. Then just run. Don't stop and whenever you're about to run out. Eat some stamina curatives and continue running. If you push up on the left stick then you should still continue running when you exit the menu. Also put portcrystals on the edges of the map. As well as important locations that are an arse to go to
My only complaint about dragon's dogma is instead of creating a "hub", there should've been more other towns and cities... overall the game should've been bigger. Besides that 10/10
I feel this, at least having one larger hub area per "area" of the game, a few different things between them beyond layout like NPCs and shops and it would've gone from Gold to Gold+

Statgrowth being tied to the currently active class was my other big issue with the game, Constantly keeping track of your exp and heading back to town to switch class for the level up kill, then switching back, wtf were they thinking lol
@@Rage-_-Quit you don't have to switch around to beat the game or get strong. You can stick to a single vocation and get OP. So you're wrong
Some aditional tips:
- After reaching lvl 10 you can change your vocation if you have enough points, you can talk to Olra (the
blonde woman in Bitterblack) to do this since is faster that reaching to Gran Soren and better because that way you don't mess up your stat growth.
- If you are a strider you can use " Helm Splitter / Skull Splitter / Brain Splitter" to jump from the begining and negate all fall damage.
- If you are a sorcerer, you can pick up "Exequy" which will kill small fries almost instantly, and for any other creature you can just use "Focus bolt + Holy enchancement" (Petrify is also very fun and really good to get easy kills on Eliminators)
- If you want to level up faster, kill everything in bitterblack with throwblasts, you can literally kill Daimon and Death with this method it's just broken af (when buyin throwblasts, you don't need to put them all in your inventory, you can buy them and have them send to the inn storage, just press R1 or RB when buying it will be the last option )

- You can get explosive arrows for the yellow vocations wich HEAVILY increase damage, and also if u put 4 periapts you can deal even more damage
(u can get them in gran soren after doing some missions for the duke)
- u should always have periapts and curatives at hand(i like to use large moshroom and potent greenwarish but i can use anything that replinish stamina and health)
- The best vocation for soloing bbi or the entire game is easly the assassin, u can do it in all the other vocations but this is MUCH BETTER for solo players

If you still play and you're still having difficulty with this glitch, like playing console and can't reduce your frames, here's what helped me:
1. Set up the first barrel like normal
2. Grab second barrel like normal
3. Enter first barrel and jump, like normal
4. While spamming jump, open your equipment and equip or remove any item
5. While continuing to hold joystick in the direction of the door, exit menu
This should push the frames to the point of cutting through the door with a higher success rate.

This is beyond dumb to me. I never seen or played DD before this month. I jumped into Hard Mode right away. Been playing normally, doing quests and such. There is no grind. The game's early stages are fun. Maybe for veterans it stops being fun but I see no reason to grind or skip content.
In all seriousness this is like the only game ever that actually succeeded in having good action rpg combat and open world at the same time. Usually open world games have terrible combat compared to instance based games not sure why.

my very first time playing this game, i went to everfall and got to the part with the cyclops or giant or whatever it is. i was fighting it as normal with my pawns, then i grappled on to it as it decided that it didnt want to live anymore. it jumped off the edge of the staircase, and i cursed the entire way down, as i was still attached to it. I thought for sure i died, but when we hit the bottom, i had taken no damage. i have never been more confused and grateful at the same time

Just joined it. Bought a copy, playing through my first time and it's pretty damn cool. Love the battles a lot, and exploring is fun and dangerous if you stray too far.
@@sallgoodman2323 The exploration the first time around is hands down my favorite gaming experience ever. I remember exploring the woods around the Shadow Fort after doing that quest and running into a dragon. It killed two pawns so fast, I fled from it into the nearby quarry, which I had not been in before. I then spent the next hour+ painstakingly making my way through it, first trying to tackle the ogres, then just trying to avoid them. I didn't have any wakestones and my last checkpoint save was forever ago, so it was either struggle through it or go back outside and take the long, dragon-y way around.

Instead of the faceplant method, you can also just jump straight down into the everfall if you have a wakestone, and revive at the bottom.
Or use skull splitter
or make 3 jumps, with healing. Use stone to save blacksmith son.

I was climbing an ogre in the Everfall on the stairs. Somehow the darn thing fell off the side of the stairs and all the way to the bottom, and because I was climbing it I emerged unscathed and the enemy died. But that may not be a reliable method, lol.

Rather than farm the goblins at moonshower cliffs I reccomend the skeletons just outside the greatwall encampment. There's a wight there that spawns 7-10 warrior skeletons everytime you kill them and the spells it casts aren't very threatening. Each skeleton provides 3k xp on hard mode which makes discipline and xp farming a breeze. They are pretty tough for low level characters but you can easily kill the entire group with one or two throwblasts.

Suggestion for those following this guide. When you start the game for the first time, choose a different vocation from the one you want to play. Fighter for example if you intend to play a Strider. That way you unlock a 2nd profession for free. When you re-start the game in hard mode, choose the profession you do want to play. Another thing worth mentioning in hard mode must have augments, you really need Awareness also (From Sorcerer). It's the equivalent of Bastion but for Magic.

Hey guys a person who love short cuts I got 2 Tips for the glitching though the corners
1st: the glitch can be done much more easy when you first jump before moving your charater forward into the corner, I find the glitch to happen more reliably for me this way
2nd: When if comes to the barrel you use in the corner, you can actualy grab it though the doors on both sides its a small tip but for me I find I cant leave the room if the barrel is still on the other side

Dragon's Dogma has been my absolute #1 favorite game ever since it's release. I actually only bought it on day 1 to get the demo of Resident Evil 6. It's the only game I've been continuously playing since it got released. I can't wait for a sequel!

Yeah man idk, this game is amazing. Looking at its release, it did come out right after Diablo 3. Also May isn't a good time to release, usually people were waiting to see what would show at E3. 2012 was the last year for PS3/360, too.

Also wanted to thank you for taking the time to make and upload this video…I have owned this game for many years and did not know this info..I’m 50 yrs old ok….but I’m still young at heart
For the Moonbeam Door clip, I usually put the barrel down in the corner, grab another object, stand inside of the barrel and wait a few seconds for a small "thud" sound, which means the barrel has regained its collision again. Then, go into equipment, unequip a piece of equipment (usually the headpiece works for me though any should do; you can also equip something on your character, as long as it changes your character model in some way) and then as soon as you unpause the game, start mashing the jump button. Usually works for me first try. I'm assuming because the jump forces you out of the barrel's collision and your character model is refreshed when you unequipped something and unpause, both kinda help with the clip. Hope that helps anyone, sorry if it sounds confusing!

This works, but it's better than that: You don't even need to jump or hold another object, just put the barrel down in the corner, wait inside it for the "thud" sound and equip or unequip a gear piece like a headgear and simply walk/jog onward and you clip through the door.
@@gannielukks1811 I have had that work for me a few times but not as consistently. Also you can use this method to clip through other doors/gates too, like the Catacombs gates. Just watch that your pawns don't smash the barrels, they tend to destroy everything around them lol

Regards to the glitch, maybe I found easiest way. It works with even smallest character
1: Prepare 2 barrels: A and B
2: Place A corner of the door and B beside it.
3: Ride on A and grab B from there.
4: Once you grab B , place it on A then B is in the air.
5: Grab A and keep jumping against B and the door and you can pass the door.
If you're playing on PC this is still doable! Just set your frame-rate from 60 to 30fps in the video settings. I'm playing as a small-ish female character and setting the frame-rate lower allowed me to do it the same way the guy in the video does. Hope this helps. :D

DD2 is scheduled to release in exactly 1 year from today (August 15th 2022) I've seen a few leaks and lemme tell you, it looks AMAZING!!! They added new classes, the armor looks great, there's mounts, pets, etc
I just got this for $10, on Kijiji. Bought it based on these RUclips reviews, and I'm blown away by the battles. They're chaotic, the hit detection is nice and crunchy, and exploration is dangerous and exciting.
alternatively, in the everfall as a strider, run towards the edge, and while running use the helm splitter skill at the very edge (WARNING : DO NOT JUMP) this make your character lunge forward and spin to the ground without taking any fall damage. Take the crystal, investigate the light and ferrystone / eternal stone out
also, sleeping at cassardis is cheeper(50G) than gran soren(500G)
I recommend saving your game to the cloud before starting dragon forging your items, you be able to save the makers arrow
Just a thing about the Encampment Hydra, if you let the fight go on for a while, Mercedes will kick an explosive barrel to you, this will grant you a somewhat difficult to acquire foe knowledge early - using explosive barrels when the hydra gapes towards you. Might want to cut the head on first / Easy Mode start and use Mercedes' barrel on the Hard Mode start or vice versa.
Oh yeah I remember that fight. I thought you had to jump to actually move up a creature instead of just using the joystick. So cutting the head was an arse

I also found glitching through the doors this way a bit finicky but found my own method by jumping and as soon as you land, pause the game and change one piece of equipment. It instantly pushes you through without making you jump constantly

One of the most enjoyable action adventures I've played in a long while. Combat is heaven - the clothing and armor design allows for many creative configurations for your pawns. You've just inspired me to finally try Dark Arisen...
I beat the entire dark arisen section on my ps3 then moved to xbox one fresh level 1 after some years. I went back to bittle back isle after some complete playthroughs and getting some dragon forged gear, and was completely shell shocked about the difficulty. I honestly couldn't even remember how i did it before. At all. I was even thinking it was impossible, forgetting that i completed this before. The replay value of this game is beyond great.

Desperately waiting for the sequel. Aside from FROM's various games since Demon's, nothing has been a comparably good ARPG. Dragon's Dogma is kind of in a league of its own though since there's really nothing else like it. It's kind of a generic open-world game, but with combat that blows away every single open-world game before and after. It's like a modern take on their classic AD&D arcade games.
It's also god tier when it comes to spell effects. There hasn't been a game remotely as good that makes the player feel like a badass spellcaster, even though some of the spells are impractically slow. The monster animations are top notch too, but that's to be expected since it's Capcom.

When you restart in Hard mode you have to go to Pablo's Inn in the beginning town to get your items from the normal run back!!!!

This game have replayability, partnership (the pawns, some noobs doesn't appreciate them but OK) and a lot of customization. Is just insane the amount of gameplay in here, amazing.

So i found out its actually possible to use the dodge roll to get through the moonbeam doors, still need to place the first barrel but you can spam dodge roll instead of jumping with another object

@@Tronnort its actually a skill you can get to use with dual daggers, i believe you unlock it as a strider and then can use it as any class using dual daggers

9:53 Just for anyone wondering, I've been following this guide step by step and was able to get into this room with the barrel on the right side. Since Vahellis used the left side, either side works for this door.
UPDATE: You can also use a deer in a pinch if you don't see any small objects to carry through doors nearby! Still need a barrel at the corner though.

This can be done with a short character. I have mine set to shortest. What I did was:
- set the barrel as you did in corner
- set second barrel next to it
- climb onto/stand on corner barrel and pick up 2nd barrel. (it'll pull you on top of the barrel like a ledge-grab)
- place 2nd barrel atop the 1st (corner) barrel (can be tricky, but they will be almost perfectly stacked if done right. Barrels sometimes can break.)
- walk off barrels and pick up bottom barrel. Top barrel will float.
- holding bottom barrel, jump into corner as you do normally.
This can also be used to exit some rooms, if there are barrels inside.
# 0001 I just recently got this game and that method does work (My char is 159 cm) but what I had to do was to jump until he runs out of stamina. Then my character staggers forward which is what gets him to clip into the doors.

You can speed up the door glitch by unequipping a piece of gear as you're jumping through the corner, it guaranteed it every time for me.

I'm not sure if it has already been mentioned but If you miss the arrow, get detected, etc. You can always go back and buy another arrow. You can only have the one in your inventory at a time. This video got me into dragons dogma btw, I've had a few playthroughs where I just got to the main city and quit. This game has quite a bit to offer and I can't wait to get further into it. I've watched this video like 3 times, and I'm finally doing it. You are a beast for making this. I loved DD when I played it a couple years ago, but the leveling is painfully slow.
My ps4 circuit got fried halfway while I was playing this so the thought of going through back is depressing but this... it helps.
Tip:
Do all the same, but instead of the goblins you can go to the great wall and place the port crystal there, then go down until you face a dark sorcerer (or something), he will spawn a group of 9 skeletons, these skeletons give Boss level xp in hard mode (2350~, double with xp boost). They can be somewhat hard but most of their attacks are slow, use trowblast if too hard
You will, literally, speedrun a stupid amount of levels by doing this, and vocations also
Its the best way to min/max also

Reminds me of Ymfahs videos in a good way. I'm glad someone did something like this for Dragons Dogma. Its the kinda game that has all kinds of weird and exploitable mechanics the average player will never use so its perfect for gimmick runs and cool prostrats.

You can try it out and if you domt like it just uninstall (please seed tho) but if you do end up liking it you can buy it on steam. Note that getting it thru the site I told you wont let you use the online features. And if you will buy it, get it from steam, since the gog community is very small. The online features are much better on steam. Or you could just buy it on ps4/xbox 1/ nintendo switch for $30(which is very cheap for a game on the switch(not to mention its such a good game))

One thing i noticed while trying to glitch through the doors is that its much more reliable when you jump straight up and then press forward when you start to fall rather than pushing into the door and jumping at the exact same time

This still works on the PS4 version as well in October, 2021. I made it into the first room on my first jump. Playing this on my PS5 and this is my first play through. The game is awesome so far. Being a fan of Skyrim, Oblivion, and Horizon: Zero Dawn, this definitely is a choice addition to my collection.

Oh I'm back. Been back for about three weeks now since I bought the Switch version.
I think one of my favorite moments was making a young character, And then going all the way to Devilfire grove, killing my first Dragon (for that playthrough) and running and fighting my way to Gran Soren using the quarry mines, all this before I reached level 15, before getting any high level equipment, and before completing the cart escort with Mercedes.
I had to save a lot. But it was gruelling in the funnest ways.
I feel bad for that Cursed Dragon. He died without getting to see the beauty that is Ricardo.
just wanted to post and say that if anyone is having trouble with the barrel glitch try making your character max height, it legit becomes 10x easier, learned from experience after playing a short character and wondering why I couldnt get it to work after spending 10 minutes trying.

Just downloaded this today and i learned that the glitch works better when you place them in the center
Great video, one small note is that once you equip that master arrow and actually notch it into the bow you cannot move you are stuck where you are until you shoot it so get into position on that dragon really well before hand.

Ok so here's the breakdown of what I think is happening:
When you place the barrel, it doesn't have collision for dynamic characters, possibly because this was a console game and the engine is probably postponing changing the barrel from a dynamic object to a static object in later frames. This is why, when you're inside the barrel and it becomes rigid again, the collision detection "pushes" you outside with a force and I think that happens _after_ the collision check with the door so you just go through the door.
The reasons why this is important to understand are:
1-) It doesn't _really_ have to do with the character height. I tried it last night with a 178 height character and I was able to clip through the surfaces pretty consistently. The reason why height weighs into the calculation is the hitbox. If you have a larger character, you have a larger hitbox, therefore I think it's easier for the barrel to push you out, so it's definitely possible for characters with shorter heights as well, albeit a bit more difficult.
2-) The bigger the object you're holding, the easier to clip through the door. Again, I think it has to do with how the collision works. If you're holding a barrel and try to push through using another barrel, you could probably clip through easier.
3-) Since this has to do with movement, I think you can clip through doors without carrying anything as well. There's another door in the right hand side of the second floor and I could clip through it by placing a barrel found in an alcove with a bunch of dead skeleton bodies while carrying nothing. My vocation is Assassin and I have the dodge roll unlocked so what I did was, I placed the barrel then kept dodge rolling towards the corner of the door. It's more difficult this way than carrying something but it is doable and I got an enchanted shield without the door.
4-) For me, the side of the door didn't matter for placing the barrel. I just went through from both sides just the same.
5-) If you push yourself against the corner and try to grab, you can grab the barrel from the other side of the door. So if you run out of barrels in the room, you can do that to pull the barrel from the other side.
So if you're having trouble with clipping through the door, do the jumping with holding a barrel and try to dodge roll option if you run out of barrels.

Just finished doing the door glitch, still works! Although my character's heigh was a lil below 170cm, it's still doable with a bit extra. Just wedge two barrels around the corner and it should still work.

I was really having a hard time with the big goblins, so I found just using Throwblasts on them made the discipline farming much faster (and could do them all in a single charm use). Sure you lose 1k per throw, but it makes up for it in speed.
If you’re having trouble glitching through the door, keep in mind that it won’t work if you’re too short.
But it can still work if you unequip and reequip your armor
hold a deer instead. It makes it so much easier.
I have like 100 hours logged into this game on Steam and I've only gotten like 5 achievements cause I keep starting over to try to make a more fun build.

I am glad you mentioned the word FUN, for this is what these games are meant to be. People often are way too serious when they play, my advise is, win or lose JUST HAVE FUN.
Bit late, but I wanted to point out that it’s actually possible to clip through a 6th moonbeam door. There’s one off to the right of the upper area. It still requires a barrel (on the left side of the door this time) and a smaller item, but you can find enough of those around it to make it work. You do have to jump and drop a small item at the same time to get it there, though. It gives you the “Dragon’s Roost” Shield, which can be used on the Fighter and Assassin vocations.
I did it another way just now, but yeah you can definitely get through this door.
Just a heads up.(I am not sure if they patched this or not in a random new update) You can use both the fighter and the Strider to glitch into the walls and grab most of those items. (Except for the Assassin/Strider Bow so thank you for the tip!) The Fighter has a skill called Blink Strike that can burst forward while the Strider has a skill called Biting Wind and they both allow you to do this Awesome Exploit! So what you have to do is go to barroch and talk to him for the free Liftstone (Or just buy one from him If you have the money) And go to the right where the stairs are. Now here is the complicated part (Also might wanna grab some healing items for this and save before dropping) Do you see that massive Greek pillar before you start going down the staircase? the one right to to the right of Barroch? That is where the magic happens! you can got to the beginning of the pillar leading to the staircase and use the either of the bursting forward skills and you should be stopped moving forward at the last bit and what you have to do is move backwards and it will cause you to trip and fall throught the stone! Then if you did it right You will land inside the wall and Bam! you now have access to four or five chests without to much difficulty and done a bit quicker! Another thing you might wanna do is grab some pawns and toss them into the chest areas and they will grab the items for you and you can grab all those cool items like the Ring of Perseverance, the Ranger Bow, the Trophy Vest, and the Adepts Robe without having to use the Liftstone! @@jakeldk6811 It's been awhile but lets see. When I said go beside the Greek pillar I meant that long thin strip of stone where you can walk. Next to the main staircase. near the first place you meet barroch (The man with the golden daggers you meet in that one cutscene) You go to the beginning of the thin strip of stone (make sure the followers don't jump in the way while doing the burst part.) and then you use the burst skill to move forward two or three times. If you do it right, near the end of the bursts your character should randomly stop and start wobbling as if they are about to fall through the floor.
(This is where the potions come in handy.) You then make sure to fall towards the inner part of the staircase and you should fall Through the staircase and hit the ground! If you did it right you should have fallen fully inside the inner parts of the staircase. if not then you may have gotten stuck inside one of the many pillars just restart to the last save or use one of teleport stones. then try again.
