  • In this video you can see how you can make a beautiful print with a stencil and alcohol ink and usually there is a second, so-called 'ghost print'.
    What you MUST pay attention to when working with alcohol ink
    is that the surface must be completely dry.
    From this point you can watch the begin at: 04:44
    First you place your stencil on a clean Gelli plate.
    Then fill the figures of your stencil with drops of alcohol ink.
    Let this dry for a while and then remove the stencil.
    Then it is a matter of patience, this layer MUST be completely dry before you roll out a layer of acrylic paint with the brayer.
    The stencil I used is from @Prontycrafts - Mandala background 470.770.009
    and stencil 048 from @hobbyshopsandra.
    Alcohol inks are from ‪@ranger_ink‬

      Thank you so much.
      Alcohol ink gives that beautiful result!
      (The 'disadvantage' is, that you have to wait until the alcohol ink is dry to make the print witha layer of acrylic paint...) 🙃😀

      @@csmaakt Heh heh...I always have a blow dryer on standby. Those of us artists who can't stand to literally "watch paint dry" need them! 😆 Of course it can change the pricess and outcome depending on the medium. So be it!

    • @csmaakt

      I'd rather wait 10 minutes than with the heat tool on the Gelli plate....
      Maybe the Gelli plate can withstand that heat, but no, no..... 🙈😁

      @@csmaakt Oh yeah...you don't want to heat the gelli plate. I just got one - haven't used it yet, but can hardly wait. I was dog-sitting and took all the supplies with me - and forgot
      the brayers!!! 🤦‍♀️

      @@janinafisher101 hihi, then you can watch You Tube videos and see how you can start with the Gelli Plate.
      Once you are a bit used to it, you will automatically experiment.
      tip: Not with hard objects on the Gelli Plate!

    GORGEOUS!!! Love it! Alcohol inks worked great with stencil. Love ghost prints too. I'm going to try this. Wondering how it would work if you sprayed plain alcohol onto stencil afterwards and got a print from it?? Love colors! VERY NICE JOB! TFS Austin,TX USA

    What kind of paper did you used

    • @csmaakt
      @csmaakt  Год назад +3

      The 'pattern' is made with acohol ink and a stencil. A layer of acrylic paint goes over that when the alcohol ink is dry. Because the last layer is acrylic paint you can use 'regular' paper. For example printer paper and I used that here.

    Could you put alcohol in a mister bottle and mist the Gelli plate to reactivate the ink?

    • @csmaakt
      @csmaakt  Год назад

      You can remove the alcohol ink from the Gelli Plate by rolling a coat of acrylic paint over it. If there is still alcohol ink on it, you can clean your Gelli Plate with a little hand gel or baby oil and a cloth.

    hoe haal je de inkt van je stencils?

    • @csmaakt
      @csmaakt  Год назад +1

      De stencils kunnen schoongemaakt worden met een doekje met wat alcohol/blendingsolution erop.
      Maar de alcoholinkt kan er ook gewoon afslijten tijdens het gebruik. De alcoholinkt geeft geen kleur af als het droog is.
      The stencils can be cleaned with a cloth with some alcohol on it. But the alcohol ink can also simply wear off during use. The alcohol ink does not transfer color when dry.
