- I'm using alcohol inks on the gel plate today. Love the fluidity and translucency of these inks and they work great on the gel plate!

Absolutely STUNNING! A Cosmic Wonder! Sure wish I had a stencil like that... you should make some to sell... I'd be your 1st buyer! 🙂
Everyone needs to know that when you work with alcohol, you need to have good VENTILATION! Do not breathe the fumes!
Wow Juna! I've been gel printing for a few years now & can't count the number of gel printing videos I've watched on YT but every one of yours has been a *revelation* -- it's like I'm learning all over again -- thanks so much for sharing your process with us ❤
Ooh I'm so happy to hear that!! Thank you so much, that means a lot!
That's fabulous, and the stencil did the job. You made the most unique stencil ever!
Thanks so much, glad you like it! 😊
Oh how amazing. Do you sell your stencils yet?
Thank you so much! Unfortunately I haven't found a manufacturer yet, they all seem to be very busy... 🙄
Very beautiful Juna! Just discovered your videos. I know you said you made your stencil but do you have any suggestions as to where I can get a similar stencil? Thank you and I look forward to your next one!
Thanks so much! I also love mandala and doily type stencils, so you can search for those! 🙂
I so love your original stencils and hope you sell them in the future.
Thank you so much Avanelle! I'm working on it, so we'll see if it happens! 😊
Right! I’ll buy one for sure
Thank you, I loved watching and experience the newness of doing this project with alcohol ink, how well the ink showed up and how it created this lovely piece of art with your fabulous hand crafted stencyl.. One could feel the cexcitment as you worked with the ink and your giggle created that same excitement while I was watching.😊
Many thanks for your kind words Renate, so happy you enjoyed the video! 🥰
I was really surprised that you could take the print with acrylic paint. Had not expected that at all., Thought you would have to use alcohol again. And, again, thumbs up for the gellplate
Amazing what you can do with it, isn't it! Such a versatile tool!
Really beautiful!! Wow! Love the effect and the colours! Thanks for sharing your process. You explain it very well. I will keep following your teaching!
So beautiful your technic!!! I should like to know if you use Spedball gel or Gelli plate. ( I' m from Argentina) thanks !❤❤
Gorgeous. Can you use alcohol ink with brass acrylic?
is it possible to use a hair dryer to dry off your gelli plate. it won't melt it?
Before painting it white, I thought it might have been a fail. It turned out spectacular! Fabulous! Thank you for sharing! Lovely!
So so pretty, and yes reminds me too of a galaxy!! When you get excited I get excited too lol Looking forward tomorrow!! 🥰
Haha, we both get excited! But definitely try it out some time, these inks are so much fun on the gel plate!
This is absolutely beautiful. I recently purchased a gel platebrayer, and alcohol inks, and have it yet tried it. You have inspired me, though I have to say I never understood why we put paint on top of it but yet the print comes through. It’s a mystery… Can you please tell me what kind of white paint you used? Is that just Acrylic?
Unbelievably beautiful! What a great tutorial! And your voice is so soothing and pleasant. ❤
That's beautiful, we have a shell in NZ from the paua shell fish and it reminds me of that. ❤
Also be aware that isopropol alcohol has an invisible flame !
Very nice. Maybe next time you can use a lazy suzan. It's easier to turn the project.
I just saw your video, love how your print came out! I will have to try alcohol inks on my Gelli plates.
Beautiful stencil! I’d buy it!!
I would love that stencil!!!! Amazing geli print!
Stunning outcome Juna! Thank you for sharing.💙
Love this, Juna. Each and every one of them. Great series. Learned so much. Thank you,
Thanks so much DeeDee, so happy to hear that! 😊
WOW!! This came out GORGEOUS!!!
*** QUESTION: Did alcohol ink STAIN the gel plate??? ***
I saw a video and her gel plate was orange from using alcohol inks on it. It didn't clean off the plate with alcohol. The gel plate still works just fine. But it affects how the print looks when she looks at it through the opposite side of the gel plate!
I was wondering if you put matte medium on plate BEFORE alcohol inks, that might keep inks from staining the plate??? TFS
Austin TX USA
Glad you liked it! My plate wasn't stained, but that can indeed sometimes happen. And correct, the plate still works fine. Your solution is creative and perhaps it works, I don't know! I guess the matte medium (or gloss medium) will also be transferred onto your print, as the top layer, but if that's ok with you then I don't see any problem. 🙂
@@junabiagioni Thank you!
Gosh Juna, I am loving your videos. I appreciate your instuctions and the fun that you bring to your work. Will these videos continue on youtube when July is over? Thankyou.
Thank you so much, so glad you enjoyed the videos! Yes, these videos will remain here on RUclips. Enjoy! ❤️
I love your stencil design. Is it available?
Beautiful 😍. Did the ink stain your gel plate at all?
Oh WOW! I love that. I've been playing with my gel mat but the alcohol ink is just beautiful. Thank you so much for that video.
What is the piece of clear (plastic/acrylic?) that you have your gel plate on so that you can lift up and turn over to look at? Where can i get one?
Fantastic! What is the stencil made of?
5:37 5:43 5:45 what is a gel plate please
Van Gogh Starry Night ❤
This is soooo beautiful! Please please sell your stencil design! 😍😍😍
I'd love to, just haven't yet found a reliable way to do it. Glad you like it though! 🥰
Too much talking
This is beautiful. I've used alcohol inks on Yupo paper. Would like to try on the Gelli plate. Does the ink stain the plate?
It did not stain mine, but I think there's certainly a possibility that it does. I don't think that will affect the functionality of the gel plate though, but you might not want the staining if it's bothering you. Glad you liked the print Laurie!
Usually the yellows will stain the plate, but doesn't affect the performance of it for other applications.
Your stencil is so beautiful! I love it! 💕
Thanks!
Are you dutch?
What an amazing pattern! Well done! Thanks for sharing.❤😊❤
Thanks so much! 🥰
Definitely going to try that. I was afraid it might harm the gelli plate
No, it doesn't! The alcohol inks can sometimes stain the plate, but that doesn't change the functionality of the plate. 🙂
Beautiful!
Can you tell what stencil you used for this Galaxy episode ?
Hi, this is a stencil I made myself. 🙂
If you love the alcohol inks then you really should try the yupo paper and small air compresser. I have somuch fun. Joanne In price Utah.
Yes, if I use the inks directly on paper I use yupo. Ir even better Grafix or Nara. If I use the inks on the gel plate I like to use this method with watercolor paper. Thanks for stopping by! 😊
Love it .
Where did you get the stencil you used for the galaxy?
I actually made it myself! But you can use any stencil that you have, it will work for this technique. Have fun with it!
Nice.
Lovely!...thanks so much for sharing.Bless you.:)
Where is your list of supplies? Paper, inks?
It's all listed in the description box.
Que manera de hablar… mareas y me dolió la cabeza … pero valió la pena…
.
My gel sheets are always sticky and keep tearing the paper, what can I do please.
Hmm I never have that happening so I'm not sure. Is it perhaps the type of paint or paper that you're using?
Reminds me of Van Gogh’s Starry Night.
I just watched this wonderful video & I gasped at the end result. Talk about gorgeous!! I rarely subscribe to any youtube videos, but I just subscribed to yours. You have a lovely way of explaining & it was cool to share in your delight at the end result. How could one not be delighted with it? And, with the gel plate it is always a "one of a kind" result, never to be duplicated. Thanks from the west coast of BC.
Fantastic! I’ve always stayed away from alcohol inks, since I wasn’t too impressed with the examples I’ve seen using them on the gel plate, not to mention the added mess. However, your technique and results have changed my mind! Thanks!
So you cut out you stencil by hand?!😲👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Beautiful alcohol print. Love that stencil. Thanks fir sharing!
Very good video. Thank you.
Thank you, glad you liked it!
Thank you so much Juna, I really really enjoyed and appreciate your video. That’s really really awesome and amazing too. I’ve subscribed and given you a thumb’s up too. Please stay safe and well too
Amazing stencil you created.
Love what you have done June! And so easy to understand! Can't wait to try it!!!
Yay, happy to hear that! Have fun!
Just Stunning!! Thank you for sharing 😊
Love all of your explanations and instructions.
this is incredible!!so beautiful =)
That came out beautifully! I love the colors.
Reminds me of Vincent van Gogh!
It looks absolutely amazing Juna !
You are brave to explore..thank you
Love this and cant wait to try it. Could you tell me what brand is the paper you used? A link would be greatly appreciated.
Glad you liked it Gracelyn! It's actually a (relatively cheap) Dutch brand called Florence so I'm not sure if it's available where you live. And really, you definitely don't need this specific brand, any brand of watercolor paper would be fine. Just make sure that it's relatively smooth (hot press watercolor paper), that's all! 😊
@@junabiagioni so this was not yupo then? It’s beautiful!
@@theresaz2023 thanks! No it's not yupo, it's watercolor paper. With this technique you can use alcohol inks on watercolor paper.
absolutely wonderful.
Juna, I’m an art quilter and wonder if this technique would work on 100% white cotton. Thoughts???
Perhaps! I've never tried that myself, so that would be fun for you to try out! I think you'll have to decide what kind of paint you want to use for the pickup layer, I guess you'll want some type of fabric paint so that the fabric doesn't become hard. You may want to eperiment with the drying time. Let me know how it goes! 😀
Absolutely AMAZING.. Thankyou for the share
Thank you so much! 🥰
When working with those metallics, I find I get better behaviour with Claro Extender rather than alcohol. That's what I use when working on synthetic paper. Have you tried that?
Interesting, haven't used it!
wonderful video! What kind of board are you working on that cleans so nicely? Thanks!
You mean the white board? It's just a plastic board, you can clean off alcohol inks with some alcohol or hand sanitizer. 🙂
Hi Juna, you sound like you are from the Netherlands, just like me. This is beautiful and I love your stencil, well done!
Dankjewel en goed gehoord! 😀
They say You should use blending solution with metallics and white. Rather than isopropyl
Yes, I've heard that too, I believe that's mainly so that they adhere better. So far I haven't had any issues, I don't know if it is different when using a pickup layer in acrylics like I did. But definitely something to take into account, thanks for your comment! 🙂
I love that you show your experiments! Beautiful! I feel so inspired to try my own experiments. Thank you!
Yay, I love it when people get inspired! Have fun doing your experiments!
That's amazing. 😍
Yes, your result is AMAZING. I love your stencil. I love this series. Thank you so much for sharing your process with us!
Thank you so much Elizabeth, so happy you enjoyed it! 😊
It’s perfect! Your stencil made this so amazing print. Lovely!
It was so much fun to do, glad you enjoyed it!
Juan, thank you so much! This technique is so inspiring and I really appreciate your enthusiasm. Thank yo you much for sharing. ❤
So happy that you're inspired, it's so much fun!
I use a turn table so it’s easier to move the plate around. It’s a little easier. Love this, going to give it a go also. Cheers. From Perth West Australia.
That's a great idea, thanks so much for sharing!
Thanks!
Aww thanks so much, that's so kind of you! 🥰
Fabulous work! One of the best gel prints I've seen so far! Thanx!
Thank you so much, that's great to hear!
Bravo! Beautiful and fun.
I really love this one!! Thanks for showing your process!
You're very welcome!
Love this!
NICE! A galaxy or fantasy whirlpool
Thank you so much! 😊
Just fun! There are no wrong ways to do this technique. Thank you for sharing Juna.
You're so right! Thanks for stopping by! ☺️
This is the first video of yours that I have seen. I love the result! That is a very nice stencil!
Thank you so much, glad you like it!
The end results were gorgeous. I would love to know the image that you used to make this stencil.
Thanks so much, I drew the image myself. 🙂
Wow 🤩 such beautiful prints… I will have to get my alcohol inks back from my son! I bought one of the metallics and didn’t get to play with it before he borrowed them. I only have a couple of the older ‘mixatives’ which behave so differently.
Thank you for this great instructional video xx
So happy you enjoyed the video! Yes, those mixatives really blend into the colors, so you don't see the metallics that well. Ranger now also sells alcohol inks called "Alloys" which will remain visible. Have fun with the inks! 😀
@@junabiagioni 😈 I checked my receipt to make sure I was buying different ones and treated myself to one of the Alloys and two more colours… I’ll be looking out for them arriving, then I can try your techniques 👍😁
Outstanding!
Did you use yupo or water colour paper for the print? Its gorgeous
I used watercolor paper. Glad you like it!
Amazing.
Wonderfully!!! 🥳
Krásné. Mohu někde koupit tuto šablonu????
Thanks so much! I am not currently selling these stencils, but perhaps I can do so in the future. Glad you like them! 🙂
Finally at 18:48 I woke from a deep sleep.
Sorry to woke you up!
Oh mygoodness .. this is amazing and so lovely to behold
Thank you so much, so happy to hear that! 🥰
Love this!
Wat prachtig. Wat een intensive maand vol met prachtige prints en ideeën. Dank je hiervoor.
Ja, het was inderdaad intensief maar erg leuk om te doen. Dankjewel voor het kijken! 😊
