Mind-blowing is right! I am so excited! I tried this out right away. I like to stamp on whatever backgrounds I create and that has been totally frustrating with alcohol ink, until now! I just made the cutest card following your instructions! This is a total game changer for me! Thank you so much! ❤❤❤
Thanks so much my dear friend for so much great information in Tips. So enjoyed seeing this video - learning new techniques for the gel plate. I love every print you pulled. The stencils added landscape and dimension to the pulls that I haven’t seen before. Cannot wait to try and give new life to my gel plate and my alcohol inks. Thank you for providing so many in’s and outs on this process.

OK, SOLD! I haven't used my AIs in... [gulp]... years and this is what is going to make me go looking for them. I just need to get me some lift ink then I can get going! TFS 🥰😍😘
Awesome!!! I’ve used AI with thin layer of paints and didn’t enjoy the end result. This way is amazing because it’s not dulled by the paint layer. I will be trying for sure and thank you so much for this tutorial. You are so creative and talented!!!
OMG This is very cool, I have everything but the ink lifter so had to order some, want to do this on some deli paper for collage. Thank you for sharing☀️
What a fun technique! I love alcohol ink prints, but I never get the right look. Can’t wait to try this and see if it works for me. Thank you for sharing.
The back grounds are beautiful. I did my first alcohol ink back ground yesterday. I had several areas that were built up and it took a long time to dry. I got impatient and added more alcohol to try and disburse it. I ended up I think putting too much on because the shine is still there but the paper now feels bumpy. I used that plastic paper you recommend, I can’t think of the name of it. but the colors were fabulous. Anyway thanks for the tutorial!!!
Great ideas, I never thought to use hand sanitizer. Did you know that you can clean your gelli plate with baby oil and a soft cloth? It works pretty well. After that use a baby wipe to remove the left over oil.
Love this technique so much! I think I’m going to try it just like you did, then try Tim’s specialty stamping paper, and stamping into the ink to remove it before pulling the print. I’ll add regular stamping on top so that it doesn’t smear. Thanks for the awesome info!
Hi Tiffany. I am new to gel printing. Just got my first plate a week ago and have not used it yet. You mention at about the ten minute point that you are using your mini mister but I missed what you have inside the mister.
This has been in my saved box for three months! I just got around to watching it! Overall, I have been not happy with results (of mine) with alcohol inks. Bought with this technique on your gel plate! Holy smokes has one girl said lol😂 this is a must try. Thank you for sharing. 💛TR
You got some great results! I’ll have to try it! Wondering if clear matte or gloss medium might also work to pull prints while maintaining the vibrancy of colors? The lift ink does seem to create a soft blending effect. I think that Cheran Shields (Texture Junkies) has done some videos using alcohol inks and hand sanitizer but your results are much softer.
Well you had my kitchen all covered in gel prints…lol! I tried this tonight and got some amazingly beautiful prints. I only have a handful of alcohol inks so my color combinations were a bit limited so I will be purchasing some more colors. I only messed up once in forgetting the lift solution before doing the pull but it actually came out looking pretty good anyways. Could you tell me the name/company of your stencil with all the small circles please? I loved that look. Thank you again for this awesome technique….I will be doing more I’m sure!! 😁
Tiffany can you do another video like this with the hand sanitizer and alcohol inks. This truly was mind blowing but I could use another tutorial on it.
Love them, amazing. Live chat is not available, but I want to tell you much I enjoyed this class. You are a great teacher. Your stencils where did you get them?
Thanks so much. I had fun doing this technique on different papers. Even cheap packing paper came out cool. There is another product called "ghost ink" made by Rinea that actually seemed to work better than the Lift Ink.
so inspiring. My alcohol lift came today. I was playing without and used white paint to lift. Using J Burrows Digital Silk paper it comes in 250gsm and 170 gsm. 250 sheets per pack. It makes beautiful prints bright colours. Im in Australia so not sure if available i\elsewhere.
Curious what your pull results were w the white paint? I have a ton of white acrylic paint lol the alcohol lift stuff looks cool but I’d like to use what I have if I can of course. Also curious as to the viscosity of said white paint? should it be a cream consistency?
Tiffany i stumbled across this video and though I would share my secret to ink lift off. I start similar to your video with the hand sanitiser, add ink (use stencils or stamps) let dry and then brayer a very thin layer of acrylic gel retarder.
