The back grounds are beautiful. I did my first alcohol ink back ground yesterday. I had several areas that were built up and it took a long time to dry. I got impatient and added more alcohol to try and disburse it. I ended up I think putting too much on because the shine is still there but the paper now feels bumpy. I used that plastic paper you recommend, I can’t think of the name of it. but the colors were fabulous. Anyway thanks for the tutorial!!!

I start similar to your video with the hand sanitiser, add ink (use stencils or stamps) let dry and then brayer a very thin layer of acrylic gel retarder. Oh that second pull? (The one with the eggplant ink, which i also love) made my heart do flippy flops! lol At first I thought the text that showed up in the pull, had been left on your stencil from a prior use. But when I went back & looked again I realized the text was part of the stencil!! Must have that stencil! You probably linked it, but i found its called mind games.
Love this technique! When I saw the hand sanitizer I wondered if you'd use to give more work time, & this is brilliant!
For stamping have you tried plain dye ink pads? You can use a black water based (dye) ink pad to stamp & then copic color, not sure if the alcohol lift ink has water in it that would smear it.
Interesting I had no idea the lift ink wouldn't work on the specialty Alc inks.
If you forget hand sanitizer, I wonder if you'd get about the same effect by putting some in your brayer. I'm sure it's forget it often especially at first.
Wow, really loving the pulls with that interlocking squares or rectangles stencil! Like you, not as fond of the glossiness of the alcohol ink paper, but that one with the greens & blues especially was gorgeous!
The one at the end also gorgeous! Who needs a stencil lol. Great video!
