You may need to completely uninstall Kontact then reinstall it with the update first (Kontact 6) before installing the drum pack, I had a similar issue
It's on instruments rather than the effects. So load up a software instrument e.g. electric piano and click on the little arrows beside it, then go to AU instruments at the bottom of the list and it should be there! :D
I got it installed and its working perfect. The kick drum sounds loud and thr snare cuts into the mix but no matter what I do i cant seperate the hi hats from the overheards in the channels and both sound too low. Tried to push the faders up but still sound too thin. Anyone with any suggestion?
I followed along with no problems up to 5:05, but when I open the little dropdowns to send the Kick, etc, to their corresponding channels, the only options I see are st.1, st.2, and surround5.1, and they all start out set to "st.1" instead of default. I did everything exactly like you did, where did things go wrong?
Nevermind, found the answer in your MODERN & MASSIVE video - had to click the "!" button in the Kontakt player to make it refresh itself and show the new channels.
Why are you assigning the kick to channel 1/2 if the corresponding channel in logic should be 3/4? (1/2 is the master where main kontact is loaded) Im getting only the kick when I solo the master

But you label a few buses for example "all toms" or "all cymbals" and you route those to a bus called "all drums" which would be your master drum channel. If you right click that bus in the mixer, you can opt in to "create a channel" i think is what it's called or "create a track" and it'll make it into a track you can actually see in your timeline.
So I set everything up following Nollys instructions here. When I have kontakt open it works fine, I can hit each drum and it does the thing. But when I try to add a midi region and hit the piano keys according to my custom mappings, it’s silent. There’s no sound even being recognized. Can’t really find a solution! Tips appreciated. Using Logic Pro X.
There is a problem with all the GGD libraries and that is something is routed to st1 at all times and is not configurable, sometimes it doesn't even do that and plays from the master wherever the plugin is routed to.
Does this program NOT play Midi? I imported a midi that Logic handles just fine, AND adjusted the note channels to correspond with the notes in Kontakt, and the channel isn't muted. I did all this stuff and STILL no sound comes from my midi file during playback. What am I doing wrong??

Can anyone explain how to route GGD in Reason 7? I create an external midi instrument and I'm able to toggle "Kontakt 5 Virtual Input," but I can't figure out how to route the tracks individually. Also my DAW seems to be only communicating the midi to Kontakt, not actually tracking it if that makes sense. I'm really confused because there are no helpful videos on Reason 7 with Kontakt.
Routing worked so far, but I can only hear the drum track when recording, the midi does not play afterwards. Redid the whole thing, still that very problem. Other plugins and software instruments in the same projects work perfectly... Does anyone have any idea or experience how to fix that?
Separate question from my other comment: Does anyone happen to know how to alter the mdi mapping in the free Kontakt Player? All I need is another kick-hit-trigger, but I'd be thrilled if I could remap entirely to the Superior Drummer 2 layout I'm accustomed to. Nolly's layout in this video is totally different from the stock setup, or at least the one I have. Any suggestions?
Hey everyone, ive been having some trouble routing ggd to logic and was hoping someone could help me out. I followed this video to the t and yet for some reason when i go to send the close mic to its corresponding channel it comes up "master". So when i finish directing everything all i can hear on the master channel is the kick drum and nothing else. I can hear the drum sounds on kontact but not in logic.
my Kontakt window in Logic looks different than that, so I don't have those little outputs at at the bottom of the window. I don't really know what to do.
Hey guys! When in kontakt and having opened the GGD just click the symbol next to the settings wheel and turn on outputs and keyboard to get the same look as Nolly.
You can "group" the outputs. I typically do kick in, kick out, snare top, snare bottom, toms, overheads and ambience (rooms). This way it's easier for mixing and processing. Splitting things out like Nolly did here is ok, but for my setup that's way too many tracks to process, and I don't really hear that much improvement in sound.
Hmm...Instead of using AUX tracks could you use a track stack instead, that way you could actually see all those tracks in the project window? I don't think you can do that with aux tracks. Basically like the way the built in Logic drum kits work, is what I'm thinking of here. I'm pretty sure those are track stack multi-outputs instead of one track with a ton of aux tracks under it.
Nevermind -- I see you can add aux tracks to the arrangement window! Cool beans. Then after you add them all you can folder them. I tried doing the track stack and that was a no-go!
When I open “one kit wonder” I don’t even get the piano in the mixer window. No channels or anything. Some of the things you’re telling me to click aren’t even an option for me to click?
i just replied to someone else but they could only solo the kick. an alternative to what you said is to create a track stack with all of the aux tracks including the one with your kontakt instrument (which is technically only your kick track now) and use the summing folder as your master.
hope you found your answer by now. if not, here: it's because the kontakt instrument is on the now kick channel and not entirely serving as the master anymore. idk if it's a logic thing, but it's how logic's built in drums are setup too. after you create the aux tracks and route them, you need to create a track for each aux (in the mixer) so you can see them in your session. then, create a track stack which will serve as your master drum ch. not sure if there is a way around this, but it's only one extra step if you follow Nolly's walkthrough.
If you open Kontakt & look near the top of it in kind of the middle kind of slightly to the right you'll see an icon that looks like a square that's composed of 3 other squares / rectangles. That button should open up a drop down menu where it'll say "Browser , Master , Info , Outputs" etc.You want to click "Outputs". A check mark should then appear beside outputs & a list will come with your outputs at the bottom of the screen. It should already have the 16 outputs from where you created them in your DAW. Hope that helps. I am just now figuring this out as well & I agree Kontakt is a bit confusing. The confusion is on in this video because he's using 5 & were using 6 , presumably.
You have to take in consideration that some people,dont speak or understand the english,or not that skilled like you.So gotta slow down a little.Coz i dont even know how and where you open certain windows,and you just go thru like if you know,everybody knows.I mean not to be rude but this frustrated the crap out of me.Coz im trying to set it up but there is no a decent video for it.And you are the one that represents GGD

Kontakt literally doesn't look like that when I pull it up and cant get to that screen for the life of me.
If you mean the mixer section, there is a square-like icon on the top menu, hit that and enable outputs.

Every time I try to open logic ,it opens Kontakt, I even deleted Kontakt from my computer and logic stills open as Kontakt, any help?
My kontakt only goes to 16 17 outputs and then repeats 16 17 when I add outputs...

You don't need Kontakt to use the tester samples.

kontakt is freaking garbage. Cant get this to work or pull up the first step where you set the routing in kontakt

Matthew Brown perfect drums is pretty amazing. I used it on the latest interloper single “glasshouse”
You shloud do the same but with pro tools because it's very confusing there and I just buy this product and I have pro tools

Great drums sounds. However, the interface is complete hog shit. I wish I could load this kit in superior drummer 3.
