    Just went from Option 2 to Option 3 myself. No vibrations or anything. Very happy with it. I daily drive with about 300lbs - Sliders, Tacoma bed mat, Overland Bed Bars, RIG'd swing out, and a Roam box filled with stuff in the bed of my truck. Not needed for option 3, BUT when we load out with 5 gallons of reserve fuel, 5 gallons of water, propane, camping equipment, etc..etc, we push closer to 500lbs, maybe even 600lbs. So I wanted the extra to keep from sagging that even option 2 would have.

      How does it ride on option 3 on your daily driver (300 pounds) ? Still happy going from 2 to 3

      Hi, I'm also curious how is stage 3 with about just 300 lbs of load? I'm in the same situation, loading up to about 500-600 lbs camping, but then back to daily driver mode. I figured it's gonna be harsh, but I'm hoping not too bad. Installing mine next week. Thx

    I added painters tape to keep the metal plates from moving around, thanks for mentioning they could be a pain!

    I would grease the individual leaf's and the round pads during the install to help prevent the future squeaks. I own this set and I have installed 40+ of them. The Icon round pads are very thin and wear out over time and squeak like an old lady.. After a couple of years of my own set, I ended up replacing the pads from Dorman that were much thicker. No squeaks since then. You can also replace the pins with ones from Dobinson (Greaseable) and install some leaf liners to help with noises too.

      Awesome tip! I haven’t had any squeaks so far with my kit but that doesn’t mean others won’t.

    I’m saving up for the Add a Leaf RXT option 3.
    Every winter I add 300# of sand bags over the rear axle as we get 5/7 feet of snow and I need the weight for the traction

    Option 2 jacked my ass end up like 4or5 inches. Ended up taking it apart and doing it over with option 1. Like it much better. Gave me like 2to3 inches with 200lbs on the back the back

    I wish you could just buy it this way from icon and have it set up as option 3 right out of the box. Is that an option if you order over the phone???

    • @Mumfy64

      That would be a nice option but that would be a question for the Icon team.

    I came to see the installation so I can see what I need to do before I do this to my truck.
    But the installer in this said he is adding the ass a leaf between the 2nd and 3rd leaf springs.
    However, reading the installation guide from the website it says for option 3 to add the leaf between the 3rd and 4th leaves from the top down.
    So now I am confused.

    • @Mumfy64
      @Mumfy64  3 месяца назад

      Interesting you bring this up. Based on this diagram is says to place it between the 2nd & 3rd.

    Debating on stage 8 myself or the fox performance elite….how long do you think the overall install time was for this kit?

    • @Mumfy64
      @Mumfy64  Год назад +1

      Depends on if you are doing it yourself or having a shop install it. Mine took 2 days. A day for the front and a day for the rear. But that also includes filming the process.

    How are the leafsprings holding up now that you have some use of it? I'm looking into these stage 3 as well. Thanks

    • @Mumfy64
      @Mumfy64  Год назад +1

      They have held up great and I do recommend them for up to the 600 lbs. Beyond that weight limit I suggest heavier leafs.

    Id I install the leaf pack with option one, is the a side that goes towards the cab and other towards the back? Also, the brake line piece that was fastened to the oem pack, does that still screw to the new pack?

  • @danieldee2287

    How is the rake? Or did it sit level after install?

    • @Mumfy64
      @Mumfy64  2 года назад

      The back does sit higher now, but I also have about an inch of adjustment on the front that can help level it out. Once I load up the Tacoma the back end should drop a bit as well.

    • @danieldee2287

      Is it an awkward height? I like the rear with a little bit of rake.

    • @Mumfy64
      @Mumfy64  2 года назад +1

      Its a little higher in the back but the front is about the same as the Bilstein 5100 setup I had before.

    • @MotorcycleJedi

    Hi looking at replacing my leafs will this lift my rear or keep my oem hight. Thanks.

    • @Mumfy64
      @Mumfy64  Год назад

      The great thing about the RXT leafs is that you have the option to change when you need to. If you are currently running stock then you can keep the RXT at Stage 1. When you are ready to do a lift and know what kind of weight you are going to carry in the bed then you can change it to stage 2 or 3.

    • @Mumfy64

      It did well with the bed rack, Rtt, and a 3500lb dump trailer full of a torn down 10x10 tuff shed and other debris.

    How's the ride quality before the rxt and after the rxt installed? I'm on the market right now for a full kit

    • @Mumfy64
      @Mumfy64  2 года назад +2

      I had good ride quality with the block spacer and stock leafs. now that i have the RXT leafs, the ride has improved due to the weight i have in the back. If you go this route, keep in mind what you plan to have in the back. if you aren't going to have lots of weight in the back then the stage 1 or 2 should be perfect for youre truck. its nice that you can change it as needed.
