I was absolutely floored at how much Oneplus managed to squeeze in to that $500 price tag. It's arriving this wk but looking at the reviews so far, it seems like I won't be disappointed.
I enjoyed watching this on my onplus pad #1 and I gotta say, with things going on sale thanks to the new release its a good deal. Glad they are continuing to itterate. I'm happy with mine, hope people are happy with the new one!

I ordered mine on 8th July. I checked the estimated delivery date which was 30th July. Of course it was a no show. I contacted the OnePlus help desk only to be told that the delivery date is in fact 8th August. On top of that I'm told that it will be delivered by Royal Mail, so I'd better set aside 2 or 3 days for delivery given their past performance. Customer service may have left with Carl Pei.
Those who want a smaller tablet go with LENOVO LEGION Y700 2023/2024 Tablet. I'm currently using it.. No words the Best❤️🔥❤️🔥💥 with 144hz refresh rate for gaming and everyday performance. Excellent!!!!! Worth every penny.!!! ✅️✅️

I opted to trade my OnePlus Pad in for the pad 2 pre-order. The new processor will be nice for gaming which I do here and there but not often on my tablet. I mainly wanted the slightly bigger screen, supposedly better speakers, better screen and storage capacity increase. The biggest con to me is still lack of expandable storage for these tablets. 128GB on the pad 1 was bordering on ridiculous for how cheap flash memory especially for bulk orders like OnePlus will get them for. That all would be a moot point if it had expandable storage, which even the pad 2 should have. So hopefully it was worth the trade in, we'll see. My main use cases is content consumption, mainly anime and reading LN/WN/Manga on it so, probably did not need to upgrade, but if the speakers are better and the screen is better, couple with the bigger storage of offline viewing I am okay with that for the price I paid, or will pay when it gets here and my trade-in is accepted.
I've actually gotten myself one of these and it is quite good. Thinner than my m1 ipad pro 12", good screen and that speakers that is as good if not better. 1 bad point is that the cpu heats up quite alot when playing games, like uncomfortably hot to the touch hot. Otherwise im digging it.
Typing this from my Pad 1, the new version looks good if you don't already have the first version but it's not worth upgrading imo. The Gray colour is nice but I prefer the green of the original. Great review though
I’ve ordered one as an upgrade to the pad 1. The pad 1 is fine but the usb is not very practical in my use case. Other than that it was already pretty snappy. This one has an updated usb port which is a bit better. I’ll be donating the pad 1 to the missus which she could use for her daily activities.
@@lmostdead Yes you can do that but its about 150 bucks and the pad 1 is still way more worth it in my opinion. I love it it’s just the usb that restricts me a little bit. Also you cant exchange the accessories and I have all of them. My wife can use it so in that case it’s beneficial for her.
@@lmostdead I'm sorry but I have some bad news. I wanted to add the stylo to my order and the chat rep. told me that I have to cancel my order to get the stylo added with the discount. The result is that I ended up with nothing. The keyboard is no longer an option to add plus you apparently can't get an order to be changed by for instance adding another accessory with the discount. Their customer service is AWFUL. I won't be getting an oneplus product ever again if this isn't solved. I feel scammed! Amateurs!

My Tab S7+ will occasionally crash on 4K/60fps videos on RUclips these days, so it could be a bargain switch for that (even if it would be a swap from OLED to LCD).

It's amazing at emulation , citra mmj and dolphin run like a dream as does lemuroid . I also us xbx play app to stream my Xbox in 1080p. I'm super glad I ordered this tablet , bye bye to my old iPad.
I'm a Samsung guy, but I honestly think this OnePlus Pad 2 is currently one of, if not the best deal as a tablet. With a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, a good iPS display that goes up to 900 nits of brightness 🔆, and at this price, this tablet is hard to fault, especially if Samsung's Tab S10's really comes with Mediatek processors as teased. But, an 8-9" model with the same hardware configurations (900 nits display, OnePlus Pen, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3) would have been really perfect (perfect for emulation and e-book), and I think even at $400-$500, it would have sold like hotcakes 🥧 Ps: A SD card slot, fingerprint scanner, UFS 4.0, and 4-5 years of Android update would not have been too much. 🙏🏽
Dealbreakers for me is 1: the lack of an OLED screen because I use my tablets like an E-reader a lot and AMOLED black is really nice for night time reading 2: No Fingerprint sensor 3: This isn't a dealbreaker per say but it's kind of strange that the OnePlus Pad 2 has lower charging speeds than their phones do, you'd think with all that space they could at least have the same wattage chargers. Maybe OnePlus Pad 3... Although it does sound really good, it seems pretty impressive and relatively affordable

The problem with chinese phones and tablets is the security updates and most of them came with ads. After using and promoting chinese phones & tablets for years, it's my time to move on to samsung devices to keep my mobile banking & assets on exchanges safe. Specs really don't matter to me anymore, mid specs tablets are enough for me to finish my work with and I never buy into that flagship killer bla bla bla stuff anymore because there're always a catch with them
It's very similar, the Xiaomi also only features an IPS panel and last year's sd 8 Gen 2. This has more accessories and if you buy now you can get some accessories as a bonus and I would trust the future updates they promise. It also has some AI features

The lack of long term OS updates is the achiles heel of non-Samsung Android tablets. I was considering Xiaomi Pad 5 a few years ago but went to the ipad 9 instead because of the updates.
I don't know why people care so much about software support. Your tablet doesn't magically stop working when updates run out. You can still use it. And what happened to buying a product for what it is NOW. Not what it is in 5-7 years (which no one watching this channel is gonna wait to upgrade let's be realistic, if they do then it won't be because of the updates lol)
Exactly. I have devices that have been out of support for over 5 years. That still work fine. Chromebook that I installed Linux on and a tablet that just does what it does.
Fantastic tablet, the only negative for me is 3yrs of OS updates are not good enough. Most people keep tablets alot longer than phones. Give me 5yrs of OS updates and I am sold. This tablet should easily last way more than 3yrs.
The tablet is nice enough. Screen is beautiful even though not an oled. Metal body is nice. Sound is nice. It isnt without issues though. It does stutter here and there with app animations seems like an refresh rate issue. Hopefully uodates fix that crap.
Seen so many issues with the OnePlus Pad not being able to go over 480p on netflix and youtube TV that I really wonder how this one is on fixing that issue.
Two things that are kind of dealbreakers for me: (1) The stylo does not support OneNote - no double tap to switch to eraser & no vibration feedback; (2) The screen touch sampling rate will be restricted to 240Hz (instead of the advertised 540 Hz) when the refreshing rate is 120 Hz. This means that you cannot play many games including FPS games like CODM at a high refreshing rate, otherwise there would be significant lag issue in the screen responding. These two are both software problems (that happened when the hardware were definitely powerful enough to make it happen) that have existed since the first gen of OnePlus Pad... Me and many other users have gave them feedback for years yet they never listen... Kind of losing confidence to them right now - love & hate from an OP 6, OP 10T, OP Pad, and OP 12 user 🥲
OnePlus just settled for using Xiaomi launcher and, I see, practically all the same features. Apart from the (promised) longer software support, the Xiaomi cost a fraction of this.
This would be nice but they sold their comouter division (VAIO) in March 2014 to JIP (Japan Industrial Partners), a Japanese private equity firm. They continue to make laptops but have stopped making desktops and tablets. Will sony make tablets again? Highly unlikely. Will VAIO? Maybe... If the public asks them, but i doubt it. Android tableta have the stereotype of being cheap due to the large assortment of cheap generic android tablets many of which are not of the best quality. Currently, if you want a quality android premium tablet, your choices are oneplus, Google, Samsung, Lenovo (parent company of Motorola), and Nokia. LG made great tablets but that stopped at the same time that they exited the mobile phone business a few years ago. There are countless generic chinese tablets but the brand names i mentioned previously Re trying to get rid of that stereotype of Android tablets being "cheap / low quality".
Sure, but how long after all other devices that were released after it? One plus may bring the 17 update to older devices, but it will be after a significant delay.
I'm just disappointed. They changed the keyboard case. The one that they had on the previous tablet was similar to the magic keyboard case for iPad, which is peak design currently.
i have a huge problem which idk if its a "feature" or not, whenever i rotate or an app opens in a different way the refresh rate goes down to 60 even if i exit it, the 9nly way to reset to 120hz is 5o go to settings (currently set to high) select 60 and again high and works again, any1 with this????

I got the ipad air m2, for me the deal breaker was the OS, there is no match for the ipadOS, its fluid and no bugs at all.

The tablet is nice enough. Screen is beautiful even though not an oled. Metal body is nice. Sound is nice. It isnt without issues though. It does stutter here and there with app animations seems like an refresh rate issue. Hopefully uodates fix that crap.

Two things that are kind of dealbreakers for me: (1) The stylo does not support OneNote - no double tap to switch to eraser & no vibration feedback; (2) The screen touch sampling rate will be restricted to 240Hz (instead of the advertised 540 Hz) when the refreshing rate is 120 Hz. This means that you cannot play many games including FPS games like CODM at a high refreshing rate, otherwise there would be significant lag issue in the screen responding.
These two are both software problems (that happened when the hardware were definitely powerful enough to make it happen) that have existed since the first gen of OnePlus Pad... Me and many other users have gave them feedback for years yet they never listen... Kind of losing confidence to them right now - love & hate from an OP 6, OP 10T, OP Pad, and OP 12 user 🥲
OnePlus just settled for using Xiaomi launcher and, I see, practically all the same features. Apart from the (promised) longer software support, the Xiaomi cost a fraction of this.
We need a Sony Tablet
This would be nice but they sold their comouter division (VAIO) in March 2014 to JIP (Japan Industrial Partners), a Japanese private equity firm. They continue to make laptops but have stopped making desktops and tablets. Will sony make tablets again? Highly unlikely. Will VAIO? Maybe... If the public asks them, but i doubt it.
Android tableta have the stereotype of being cheap due to the large assortment of cheap generic android tablets many of which are not of the best quality. Currently, if you want a quality android premium tablet, your choices are oneplus, Google, Samsung, Lenovo (parent company of Motorola), and Nokia. LG made great tablets but that stopped at the same time that they exited the mobile phone business a few years ago.
There are countless generic chinese tablets but the brand names i mentioned previously Re trying to get rid of that stereotype of Android tablets being "cheap / low quality".

I'm just disappointed. They changed the keyboard case. The one that they had on the previous tablet was similar to the magic keyboard case for iPad, which is peak design currently.

i have a huge problem which idk if its a "feature" or not, whenever i rotate or an app opens in a different way the refresh rate goes down to 60 even if i exit it, the 9nly way to reset to 120hz is 5o go to settings (currently set to high) select 60 and again high and works again, any1 with this????
