    Unreal! Someone who did it right! the FD2 made 222 HP! What an accomplishment! I would love to see the R18's get some love.

    Nice build!! I also run stock 02 sensor and I run at 10.5 afr wide open throttle.
    Do you suggest even lower afr ?

      Hi
      Stock O2 Sensor in these cars always report richer than the mixture actually is when the mixture is rich, they are ok when it's not as rich. That's why I said I did it rich using stock sensor, to avoid going too lean. Then I refined the tune with a wideband later.

      @@BulliKidFactory O2 says 10.14, Wideband says 11.5-11.0:1 at 10psi/0.6bar and 10.8-10.5:1 at 15psi/1bar

    Stumbled upon this video, it really inspired me to Turbo my R18. I love my 8th gen non-si civic... I want it to live forever. It is also my first car.
    I have just one dumb question... does the R18 Turbo need higher octane fuel? or can still run 87?

      Regarding fuel, minimum fuel recommended will be oct91(ron95) for the boost stock sensor can prrovide, which is around 6-10psi with considerate timing.

    Subscribed! Love this kind of stuff! Canada here - could this be done with automatic transmission? Could I safely boost the car and start to build the rest as I go?       Yes, you can do 5-7psi with automatic fine. This car was also boosted with automatic + stock internals before.

      MAF is deleted and converted to Speed Density with new tuning tables I created. MAP sensor is 4bar from Toyota Turbo Diesel, rescaled correctly, can read boost directly from obd2.

    Fuel consumption increased in comparison with R18 atmo? I mean cruise load.

      If you use the same power, there would be almost no change in fuel consumption. And better responsiveness, because we tuned knock limited ignition timing to suite the fuel well. So the car will get better ignition timing in all range, thus better efficiency.

    K20/k24 here 240 hp 184 torque.

      Good power, we made similar power with our Toyota when it had K24+20 before we remove it for a J35.

      @javielo1374 It's also up to dyno we use. We also just made 272ps on Dynapack @tcf=1.06 SAE with just JDM K24A2 block + DC5 oil pump + RBC cam gear using E20 OCT91(RON95). It would make less on some other dynos.

      WinOLS for editing
      PCMflash for reading and writing
      Lots of things need to be done. I do my own firmware reverse engineering deep down to Assembly codes. That's how I'm able to do these.

      Chinese 650cc injectors bro, but it's maxed out. I recommend using 850cc for stock fuel system.

      Turbocharging cost around $1,500-1,800 up to the turbo we have to use, with some Chinese parts and custom fabrications. Building the engine is entirely up to the parts we want, rebuilding labor cost alone is about $800-1,000 not including parts. Tuning costs $500-800.

      With over 20 years of time spent with computers, helps a lot with firmware reverse engineering. Also, studying engines and cars and observing live data from cars for years. We also do road constructions and do all the maintenance of machineries ourselves at home.
