- I wrote this poem when I was feeling sad and angry whenever I was compared to someone else. Jealousy is terrible, but it's a common thing that stirs up in all of us at some point.

I try my best to be a good daughter but still my mother compares me to the other girls. It feels like I'll never be enough.

Same happens to me
Same... I even clean the house first in the morning when they're not at home... but they've never appreciate what I've done and they go on saying you should have done more or they even bully me making noises like bad kids in school... always being compared to kids who study in medical departments while I was sent to music courses since I was 6... I'm tired of being pushed trough thing Im not ready for and being compared with others. Now I don't even want to sit with them and eat. I get into my room to avoid them annoying me by their words or to avoid any argument. I'm really depressed. Nothing makes me mind that tired except their words which makes me feel Im absolute useless... I even helo my mother with money when she needs to by something and doesn't have enough money at that moment... I don't get it and I'm tired and lost my confidence... I've always been shy and calm and not that confident and they make it worse.
I get so much Anxiety and depression for being compared to others.

"Why can't you help me like her?"

It feels like I'm not her child anymore. But I think that my friend is a better daugter than I will ever be.

While listening to this Im crying why? Because I never heard to my parents saying Im proud of you having high grades or proud of you being honored student I always hear why you are not ggod as your sister or sometimes my Mom saying
Look at the other kids they have dream they always do everything look what they are doing why you're not like them
Everytime every day I always hear it and sometimes I just want to die cause I feel that im not enough to be her son

But please ... please don’t ever say that you want to die ever please and yes there were times that I felt that mostly everyday not wanting to live anymore because I started to compare myself to every single person I see as of I wasn’t good enough to become something or someone!!! But, please ... keep fighting the big fight, it’s just a constant fight in our minds to embrace our flaws to turn into something beautiful!!!!! God bless you !!!!! ⭐️🕊

When someone compares you to others just ignore them. Let them waste their time. I have been through this a lot. At first it hurted me lot but now I ignore them.

I always get compared so i just cry secretly every night but i cant do it anymore i have no one to talk to
having both depression and anxiety is like having Multiple Personality you don't know who's the real you

I love Mum so much but she always compares me to other girls no matter how hard I try to do enough. it's always not enough. I've told her once that she were hurting me and putting me down by doing so and that compliment was better than nagging but nothing changed. When I was just 17 years old, I already mastered four languages. I speak French, Spanish, Arabic and ofc English fluently and have been studying Korean for about four years now. I do amazing paintings. I write poems and stories not only in English. I play guitar and write songs. I do photography and have many more talents. I'm not showing off guys but just so you know, Mum keeps comparing me to other girls who don't have half what I do just because I'm an introvert, weirdo who wears baggy jumpers and loves to hide in my room and don't know how to have fun like other girls, or do make up like them or to spend my money on clothes and silly stuff rather than books and painting tools. I feel now like everything I do is not enough. never have been enough. When I like someone, the thought of not being enough for them strikes me immediately. I've been diagnosed with depression like a month ago. You know how terrible it is. I haven't told Mum though, nor did she notice because I've always been that introvert. I am not looking for a lost love, a dream job, or a miracle. Some appreciation from mama would be so nice. Thank you so much for your poem. it really hit home. :")

I am not going to talk about my experience or make people feel sorry for me because I'm thankful for him showing me what love isn't because he was someone I thought I had forever with but I dont, I never did, and I wish I wouldn't have fallen over my own two feet for him
Being an identical twin, Iam constantly comparing how I act to how my sister acts. I know it's not healthy but I just see her get on so well with other people and I just feel so confused.

Being compared to others hurt the most tbh.
This hits harder because I have a twin brother and I don't even like him or want to talk to him but people keep seeing me as just somebody's sister. I don't feel like I'm my own person. It hurts me a lot and when I ask them to stop doing it, they just laugh it off and tell me I'm lucky to have a twin.

My girlfriend compared me to some celebrity and everyone else did too, I told her I didn't like being compared and I'm me and she said it was a joke and I shouldn't be taking stuff to seriously but I've told her this many a times yet she keep doing it, when someone is hurt by it why would you still do it?
