im 56 and I am dreading the day this great man passes through this life. What a job he has done. No drama, nothing in the papers or the net other than wins and class. Richard you are a American patriot. We love you King.
I don't know. I don't think you'll remember, but we were at a restaurant up in Utah past St. George, me and my wife and our family. I was sitting outside after the restaurant. I seen you go by and I wave to you and I asked you appointed to my phone to take a picture and you came over and your wife said hi. You too and one new. Your young men took a picture of me and you. I really appreciated that. That's when me and my wife are having some good times. But fortunately my wife passed away this February 21st 2024 of dementia so I had her here at my house with me in bed and she passed away in my arms. I want to thank you for the good memories I had with my wife there and keep on doing you too and Facebook. I really love American shoppers audience watching you and Junior and Polly and I like to say God's love and blessings to you all. Amen. Thank you so much. Thanks God's name amen
Brings back memories. One year in Daytona I met you, the boys, Vinnie and Cody. Then met Richard Petty, and Indian Larry (RIP). To say that was a great year is an understatement!!!
That was awesome! Always loved Richard Petty fan, such a great guy. Pretty cool story about Mel Fisher, I saw an episode of city confidential about him. Me and my girlfriend went to Key West stayed at Margaritaville resort right across the street from Mel Fishers museum. We went to the museum, really cool. I am also a lifetime Parrothead and saw Jimmy in concert 15 times. RIP Jimmy and Mel❤. Thanks for sharing!
Very insightful for Paul to point out that things and memorabilia should be preserved in the present, for the future and for the memories. Having the foresight to do that is very important.
Really enjoyed this tour. Richard Petty like you is an American Treasure. I worked at Trade Winds when you did the two bikes for Kieth and now I work at the OCC Roadhouse and Museum. Thank you for providing a place to earn a paycheck and pay my bills. I really appreciate it. Looking forward to more videos and maybe seeing you at OCCRH I’ll be on the grill cooking all the meats and seafood. Best Wishes to you sir and those who you love. 😎
i was a huge Petty fan in the early 70's, I built all his nascars, even taped off and painted on the red stripe that went over the back of that mopar roof he towed everyone around the track in, then he went and made it difficult and brought em around to points over the hood as apposed to the strap over the rear roof, still I taped it off painted it petty red and electric blue... won 3rd place in the Washington state fair for my efforts . . . yup, never missed a race all of what 10 yrs old or something?.. Nascar is not what it used to be not by a daytona back stretch, the good ol' days . . . .
Two outstanding Americans, BOTH LEGENDS IN MY BOOK!
