Your friend wanting to try the massage…the passenger has their own screen right in front of them and did not need to use the navigation screen. You can also put navigation on the instrument cluster and in the HUD if you want to do something else on the centre screen. Easy to do from the steering wheel or just ask hey mercedes to do it for you. The menu can be brought up with the star button on the steering wheel, and main screen always goes back to map after pressing the home button on the steering wheel. No warmup time required as suggested. Its an ev. They dont need to warm up. The great thing about the hyperscreen is the ease of cleaning, and my steering wheel position does not block it at all. A vertical screen collects the same dust. My phone sits nicely next to the cup holders with the lid open or closed, which opens for me first time every time, but maybe I’m not as aggressive. Which ev has a superior interior? I cannot think of one.
I’ve had the sedan and the SUV as loaners from the dealership while my car was being serviced and I absolutely detest the EQS charging. It is not driving. It is very bland and this guy is right on point with his review.
10m54s you say soft close doors aren''t there. But when i look now in the configurator on the mercedes website it is an option. Don't know if it was an option 6 months ago when this video was uploaded but if it was then your's just does not have that option.
7min50sec you say the massage seats overlap the navigation completely. This is mbux 7 or 8? I have 6=version 1 on my mercedes B-class i also have navigation on the middle screen, but also have a 2nd 1 in the part where you have the EQ power 0-100 so inside the right side of your left screen. Plus i have a head up display who also shows navigation. But i agree on this widescreen in the middle navigation could be side to side with massageseats no need for it to be that big, but with some other things i would like it as big as possible. For example with 360camera i want to see if i will hit something.
11m26s you want alcantera on the underside of the roof, don't know about 6months ago when this video was uploaded but at mercedes configuration you can have alcantera as an option for 1.900€, maybe back then also on option but just not in this version of the car.
Hi Kris, if you could choose between Tesla Y performance quicksilver, full option or Mercedes EQE SUV with premium pack, what would you prefered choice be? (without taking in account $$, purely driving, functionality etc..) I drove in the past with Q4 for 1,5year and the software was such a dissappointment i'm afraid EQE would be similar although looking at different movies around the navigation and SW experience of Mercedes seems to be quite good and smart taking in account chargers, filtering of these etc...
Totally agree on the styling. ICE Mercedes look the business the EQ models look like blobs. Personally styling is so important in cars at this price point. Probably a dealbreaker for me. About the interior. At least in Sweden you can option microfiber headlining and softclose. But again the price. You get a GLS MAYBACH for the same money. Let’s now wait for the price of the EQS MAYBACH.
The "hyper-screen" is just a gimmick, it really doesn't serve any useful purpose,,,waste of screen space. And the "so-so" look & the expected high price....nah...I'd buy it used 3 yrs later (if still relevant) at significantly discounted price.

When are you going to test a BMW IX?

So you don't hate, you're just nitpicking, title is a bait
Yeah..
It’s a silly title.
Agree

What the heck? Plastic sun visors aren't good enough in this kind of car.

The software in the q4 is what audi used in 2018 so I wouldn’t have expectations
However audis new q6 e-tron should have much better software

The two vents, either side of the front "grille" make it look like a chipmunk with its cheeks full of nuts!! 🐿 😂
shit, now i can't unsee it 🤣🤣🤣
It’s like Mercedes wasn’t true to their own design language for their EQ models in the hunt for airo
The biggest gripe you have with this car is you can't even afford it as a lease😂

Looks like a bland minivan. The interior is impressive though (but very gimmicky and tacky).
Meh. Stick with Tesla. It's going to be a while until other makers catch up.
Just get something else.... dahh
Bait. No shame.
That smile when it is literaly anything but Tesla :D
