It shows that his character does care about his friends and coworkers just as much as he cares about his film. Word of god says that the venatosaurs are raptors, but they look more like evolved allosaurs/giganotosaurs who just happen to have a superficial similarity to raptors to me.

To put it simply, what make these Dinosaurs stand out from any other animal on the island, is that they instinctually use the ruins of the ancient civilisation, to their advantage

Any predator would go for the feast and let the small fry go rather than take more risks for the smaller meal.

I quite liked it, and the CGI was ok, but it's the merging of the actors that let it down in places. It looks unreal, like they've been pasted on. Which of course they were! But not very well done. If they decide to do another "Special Edition" I hope they sort this out.
