I just inherited my dad's 98 Goldwing SE with 184,000 and a trailer--can't wait to get out and ride it this year. He loved it, and put 184,000 on it in mostly about 7-8 years until it was harder for him to ride as much... unfortunately he just passed, so now I will use his bike and hopefully have him as my passenger...
I just bought that bike from the same guy you sold it too. It's phenomenal! He put a 2000.00 dollar Pioneer Sound system, and 1200.00 in lightning! Its awesome!!!!! Love it! This kills my last 3 bikes!
Sean: You are right about being cautious about your limits with such a large machine. I remember when a Canadian journalist pushed too hard on a group tour; grounded the bike, did an endo with 900 pounds and died. He looked ok after the accident, was lucid but unknown to everyone bled out internally. Even an expert rider and ex-racer can be overconfident. Riding is always serious business, but especially with a machine that large and heavy.
Hey Sean, love your road tests, Even though im thousands of miles away here in the U.K , I feel like i know those roads you ride on, I ve watched so many of your videos ! Keep em coming , stay safe man , regards Simon.
Honda makes quality stuff. 150k miles is nothing for a bike like that. Most comfortable bike in the world, cheap, *and* it's low maintenance. I'd like to see how often a Harley breaks down before it reaches the 200k mark.
Love the Goldwings, I had a Harley fat bob I ordered some chrome parts one day only to find they were made in china so I sent the parts back and sold the bike best move I ever did, drove a Goldwing around 1989 model loved it going to now buy a later model one
At the Riverside Hotel in Laughlin upstairs they have a car museum and in that museum has you first go through it on the left side there is a 1975 Goldwing documented 1 million miles engine has never been down
Sean, i get that these are old man bikes but it looks like the cady of the road. Just plan your destination and go. Realiable, powerful, good on gas, comfort, and of corse music. My raiders a great bike but I wouldnt feel comfortable driving it over 2-300 miles. There are alot of people who do but not me, the goldwing would get me there.. heated grips, windshield, smoothness. That thing is beautiful.
I had a 1000 cc Sold her bought a 1100cc Aspencade paint was no good but Donk was Great sold her Bought a 09 1800 cc Never ever worse wet weather gear the water go,s right over the top there is more luggage room in a 1500 a lot better than the 1800 cc But the 1800 cc get Fantastic ks on each tank Sold her for $23k Aud .Bought a 1150 RT BMW .
then closed with " its not what you ride but where you are going " which was not what he said most of the video lol, saying how this is the bike you need for long distance lol
I'm a Harley rider (03' FXDX) an bought GL 1500 Goldwing yesterday! Yee Haa! Guy said he was too old, I'm ten years older than he is, haha! He just missed out on ten yrs great riding? Oh right, he'll just use his second one! An I got this one beat with a windshield wiper with delay, haha! (Ever see bike with windshield/delay? First for me an it's clean sweep)!
Best bike review I have seen on RUclips. You are so right about the buttons, I am definitely getting more buttons for my cbf1000. Much love from England my friend.
Love your Goldwing videos, i bought my first one recently, a 99 GL aspencade, i so love it, so much that my harley dyna lowrider never gets used anymore ! ive bought and sold so many bikes over the years, but the Goldwing is to keep forever. steve, bournemouth, uk.
I have a 99 glse, picked it up in Austin Texas after I wrecked my Yamaha V star. Road it all the way to Rochester NY with no issues. I just love this bike. It will be my last bike. Only had 25 k on it when I got it. The video made me want to take her out but we have freezing rain......
Honda gold wing is my dream since i was a child, i' m from morocco, i have two daughtres, i'm dad now, but my dreamalways is to have a 1988 honda gold wing hhhh
Honda, the most reliable thing on the planet! I'd liked if you pointed out the differences of the Aspencade to a base GW. Im thinking about touring bikes lately, but debating on a cruiser too tho. I've narrowed it to a Goldwing, or Yamaha Raider
I have a 94 se wing.. no spark dealer said ecm.. bought one still no spark.. he charged me 200 dollars and I looked at it for hours cant figure it out...any ideas
Shoot i have a 2001 goldwing 1800, i got 239k mile on it you won't even know, ride brand new engine and transmission are original, I'm still messing with the speed 🚲 bikes out here
Hey Sean im in australia and looking at getting the 1800 valkyrie either new or a very low km one....whats your thoughts on the valkyrie and as in second hand what to look for as in problems. Also whats the difference between 2014 and 2018 models. Apart from price of course lol. I can get a mint 2014 for $14000 aust or a brand new 2018 for $19990. Also love your vids...cheers
Out of the six wings Ive owned,I think four had over 100k when I sold them.About the only issue I had,(and this was with all),the valve cover gaskits would start leaking above 100 k.A pretty easy fix,but honestly,Im a slob,it didnt hurt anything,so I just ignored it
Great bike that goldwing I was in town the other day getting coffee, belmont shores long bch,2 goldwings come rolling down into town I had to double take,is that a blonde woman riding, yep, they pull over, park up,she rode that goldwing like it was a vespa lol Then she gets off the Bike after she reversed bike in reverse gear, lol She was the most beautiful woman I've ever seen,so moral of the story, goldwings aren't just for grandads, cheers
Yeah, that and wanted to be comfortable. Comfortable enough to put 800+ miles a day, packing everything ya might want. Hell I bought my first one when I was 25 (with a trailer). Then again it's real handy to go to the store with, ya don't need bungees (unless your going to home depot). It's amusing how many people knock the goldwing, yet it comes with a lot of the stuff that people try to replicate with after market parts... to each their own. I'm comfortable knowing my 2013 will last till the day I die. Oh sure I'll add more bikes, I'm thinking a FJR will come home in the near future... but the wing will be the go to for comfort, ya can't beat it.
Love your sense of humor. You got jokes LOL. Keep me coming 😂. I've owned 3 Goldwings, now I'm on an F6b 2014. Awesome. Your videos are entertaining. Good job. WINGRIDERL47' 😀

"I'm bigger than that car right there, He Knows it." I died . Best comment on a Gold Wing

thanks simon , maybe some day God will bless you and you ll be able to visit the united states lol . im sure the uk is ok also.
nope depressing!!

CRH you’re right except for the cheap part lol
Love the Goldwings, I had a Harley fat bob I ordered some chrome parts one day only to find they were made in china so I sent the parts back and sold the bike best move I ever did, drove a Goldwing around 1989 model loved it going to now buy a later model one
I bought my 1994 Interstate in March 2018 with 48k miles for $2800 what a steal. Very good shape every thing works
At the Riverside Hotel in Laughlin upstairs they have a car museum and in that museum has you first go through it on the left side there is a 1975 Goldwing documented 1 million miles engine has never been down
LOL....HAD A GOOD FRIEND...850 OOO ON HIS 83 GOLDWING....STILL RUNS LIKE A TOP....HE HAS PASSED...HIS SON HAS THE WING...IT LIVES ON...
Buying a beautiful 87 aspencade. Goldwings age so well

I just got a 96 Aspencade for Father’s Day, it only has 54000 on it. Looking forward to getting out on the road with it.
The only problem with a GL1500 having 150K is that you're still breaking in.
Transmission is not happy in high miles, the top end is fine tho, they tend to pop out of gear went they get old
every vid starts same way, i love this bike lol he loves everything.
then closed with " its not what you ride but where you are going " which was not what he said most of the video lol, saying how this is the bike you need for long distance lol
That's how us Wingnuts feel.
I'm a Harley rider (03' FXDX) an bought GL 1500 Goldwing yesterday! Yee Haa! Guy said he was too old, I'm ten years older than he is, haha! He just missed out on ten yrs great riding? Me too,but I dont sell the Wings,I wear em out,and yeah, that takes alot of riding
I'm 6'5" 350. The Goldwing is basically the only machine for me. 🤣😆
Texas.. heck ya
My last bike was a V-star. Love it but my 90 Goldwing is so much better.
Humor with some good information on some awesome bikes. I love this channel and these road tests. Thanks for putting these out, man.

Honda gold wing is my dream since i was a child, i' m from morocco, i have two daughtres, i'm dad now, but my dreamalways is to have a 1988 honda gold wing hhhh
Beautiful bike no doubt about it and you look good on that big Cruiser bro👊👊👍👍👍👍
There's a 220k mile goldwing and trailer for sale near me that the owner drove to Alaska and back - twice. I think it has your name on it.
I’m in need to replace original tires on my 1987 Aspencade with 9,200 miles. Any suggestions? Cheap or premo tires?
Honda, the most reliable thing on the planet!
I'd liked if you pointed out the differences of the Aspencade to a base GW. Im thinking about touring bikes lately, but debating on a cruiser too tho. I've narrowed it to a Goldwing, or Yamaha Raider
pds tech 6 cylinder water cooled hundred horsepower how can you go wrong
Stay with honda,you want a big cruiser,get a vtx
Miss my GL1500. Maybe I would still have it if it had been white like this one. Sharp looking bike..
I have a 94 se wing.. no spark dealer said ecm.. bought one still no spark.. he charged me 200 dollars and I looked at it for hours cant figure it out...any ideas

Riding GW's in the snow in Alaska eh...funny man. Nice ride. Mine's a 91 Anniversary SE with 50k miles. I will never part with it.
Out of the six wings Ive owned,I think four had over 100k when I sold them.About the only issue I had,(and this was with all),the valve cover gaskits would start leaking above 100 k.A pretty easy fix,but honestly,Im a slob,it didnt hurt anything,so I just ignored it
6 cylinder monster.
Would you prefer the 1500 over the 1800?
Im told the 1200 is the most popular bike for the fans. Personally i prefer the 1500
99k on my 1984 GL 1200! Plenty of power
Nice work man stay safe out there God bless you

I like the silence
My son rides his zx6r from Florida to Michigan in a day
You guys ship to canada?
This is the thing you ride to Canada
I have owned 3 gold wings. I would love to have a white one. I think they are so beautiful
Missed yr calling. You'll mk a good standup 😎
I want one.
Has a different sound.
Good vid
For a big bike it is very agile.
Goldwings started only because old guys wanted to drink coffee and ride at the same time. It all boils down to that.
Yeah, that and wanted to be comfortable. Comfortable enough to put 800+ miles a day, packing everything ya might want. Hell I bought my first one when I was 25 (with a trailer). Nope Harleys Glides were that.esp'70s
Theres a photo of a Guy say 50 in 1970s drinking a Beer!-riding a glide-
typical Harley Guy.Beer!!
Road Glider; i like throwing the burnt toast out at harleys when i go past. used tea bags sometimes to
Again no gloves??? And on the highway??!!!
He's on a car lol
That is not how a Goldwing sounds ! But 143000 miles is NOTHING for a G.W.
Nothing for a Goldwing that true
"Nah hes cool tho" 😂
very nice
Love your sense of humor. You got jokes LOL. Keep me coming 😂. I've owned 3 Goldwings, now I'm on an F6b 2014. Awesome. Your videos are entertaining. Good job. WINGRIDERL47' 😀
+Fernando Lorde thanks for encouragement. The F6B s are great
Biggest windshield ever made on anything ever made. LMAO!
Lol! I told my buddy to listen to this but I think the guy is an idiot. Then I kept listening and realized I was the idiot. Sorry bnbs.
No gloves!?!?........dude
It's rides like a Cow wow okay ...UK England
This bike has the larger windscreen on her go back to the main screen
blah blah... we know you love the bike... how about some info?? ;) kind of fun though...
145000 miles, and 26 stators 😒
They don't use a stator, the GL1500 uses an alternator
When you really have to get home to kiss your dad on the mouth. Buy a Honda Goldwing.
Dude - that's funny
Looks like you did good! ❤
I've been tryna add a mint condition 80's Goldwing to my stable for a while now.
