    I own a 1988 Goldwing and a 2014 Ultra Limited. And well, the Goldwing has 98000 miles and rides like a champ. Truly is more sporty too. Only thing I like more on my Harley is the sound. I like both my bikes (Harley is awesome) but I have to say the Goldwing even though it's much older has all the options + more than today's bikes (except for navigation).

      My brother in law used to have a lawn service, and he used to have a little Honda push mower that would start first pull every time, all the time. Hot, cold, last used a day ago, last used a month ago .... it didn't matter. One pull and the thing was humming. That was the early 90's and I still remember, cause it really made an impression with me.

    Nice review but if you are going to sell a bike you should know if its a stereo or not under the plastic cover, and you should know how to open it. You should know the price. You should know the year. You are the expert and you want the viewer to see that and not think your just saying hey buy this bike so I can make some money even if I dont know much about it.

    Could be that there only two carbs instead of one for each cylinder. And don't Wings have accelerator pumps?

    • @mrRhwalden
      @mrRhwalden 6 лет назад +1

      depends on the wing. The four banger wings had one carb per cylinder. And if you consider a Valk a wing (it is sorta, same drive train) they had six carbs.

    Most motorbikes are in a class of their own but as you stated in the V Rod video Sean, " we can make comparisons. " I feel strongly American motorbikes, Harley and Indian for instance have a history steeped in the tradition of our country & it's culture while the same could be said of bikes made elsewhere. I used to be a hardcore Harley guy & wouldn't give another brand a look or the time of day BUT then came the AMF years. You started a debate again, this this time you called the Goldwing King ( OY). Imagine if you will somewhere an old school, long scruffy beard & hair wearin, beer guzzlin, vest with colors, greasy, tattooed & ornery as a 2 peckered goat Road King die hard just squeezed and crunched his breakfast beer can to death at the thought of Goldwing a King.

    • @seH2i
      @seH2i 6 лет назад +1

      grandpa5x Pulliam It the Goldwing is not American culture nor will it ever be. When veterans came back from European and Asian combat theaters of operation successfully securing WORLD FREEDOM from aggressive regimes they chose Harley Davidson V Twins & created the "bobber" culture & a biker brotherhood that exists to this day. YOU tell those men & women who fought bravely that their blood, SWEAT and tears created the culture of king gold wing.

      Interesting perspective. I tend to disagree. With the ample baggage space, comfy seat, cruise control, stereo, and all the goodies its an excellent tourer. I could tour across the continent on mine. I would like my legs a bit more forward though.

      NOT a touring bike?? lol Honda single handidly created the TOURING bike market WITH the Goldwing. There is NO touring class without a Goldwing. YOU must consider ENDURO bikes touring bikes, which they are NOT. True touring bikes have what the goldwing has BECAUSE of the Goldwing lol MORON...

    Nice old wing guys, not like the B.M.W K1600 looking F6B in drag they are trying to pitch as the new Goldwing now.

    • @wtom1420
      @wtom1420 6 лет назад

      The new Goldwing has an entirely new more powerful motor, completely different front end...no more telescopic forks, rather a wishbone. Electric adjustable windshield, driver floorboards are gone, removable trunk in the tour model, integrated iphone use in the display with voice command to "Siri" (why would you want this? When I had an iphone earlier this year, Siri was a source of complete frustration), bluetooth for Android, and the biggest change is they shaved the height, width and length and lost somewhere between 80-93 pounds. Also, has walking speed foward and reverse with the new optional DCT 7 speed transmission. You can get it with the 6 speed manual also. Test riders have stated the "automatic" transmission is so smooth, there is no perceptible indication of gear changes. It can also be shifted manually. There are driving modes as well such as: sport, economy, tour and rain. I've never owned or ridden one, but it's my dream bike. Even if I sell the three bikes I own now, it's gonna' be out of my price range. I'm guessing at least $25K. This new model may have inspired me to look for an older 1500 or 1800.

    • @OneTranslator
      @OneTranslator 6 лет назад

      I've been riding bike's for 40 years meny of them on a Goldwing starting with a 1977 model. I've seen the wing evolve through the year's . I agree it has meny new features bells and whistles but for me it lacks the character and heritage of a true Goldwing.Its not an update it's a totally new machine more like a computer on 2 wheels copying the B.M.W k1600

    • @jennydiazvigneault5548
      @jennydiazvigneault5548 6 лет назад

      I think it was made in response to bikes like the K1600 and FJR 1300. Everyone these days wants tech and everything has to run off iPhones and bluetooth and computers. I really like some of the updates on the new Goldwing. I like the electric windshield and the new transmission. The new engine gained very little extra horsepower. They did lose about 85 pounds which is great. Things I didn't like are reducing the size of the fuel tank. The Goldwing needed to get more distance in a tank of gas but they failed there. They also lost about 40 ore more litters of baggage space to make it look prettier and modern. I believe the front fairing is smaller. They said they moved the rider closer to the windshield so this won't matter. I have yet to believe that. it seems they are trying to get a younger market interested and also make it a bit more sport touring instead of strictly touring. I guess I need.a test ride on one.

      You do know that Max has a suspension shop, right?? And EVERY expensive bike that comes out he tears it apart, and miraculously "finds" issues with it. I happen to OWN an 18 Goldwing, and know for a fact that it has ZERO of the issues that he states he "found", ZERO, and I checked on the 4 that I've sold, and what do you know, NONE of those customers have ANY of the issues he has found...
