Chris Beard. I was yelling it 4 years ago. Please. He knows and creates exactly everything IU fans expect and respect about great coaching, I mean in the total sense of what coaching takes in college basketball. He has a PhD. in coaching, gaining all from the best, sitting at the feet of the best there ever was who coached the game of basketball. For 8 years. That’s who IU needs, desperately, to retrieve banners to hang once again. To create a culture of respect for the program and the university. Chris Beard, or don’t bother hiring another mistake. Chris Beard is so obvious for every reason. The best reason is his mentor who lives on within his approach and results!

@@unclened6394 I'm glad you are happy with Woodson as IU's coach - as I said, so am I 😆 The level of cope required to be OK with not winning the Big Ten in almost a decade, never winning the Big Ten tourney and having no NCAA tournament success in the last 20 years is pretty epic.

@ I think Woodson sucks but that wasn’t my point. I’m pointing out that PU hasn’t exactly owned him and you aren’t intelligent enough to know that. If you’re more worried about what IU does against teams other than PU, maybe you are actually a “diehard” IU fan. I’m actually a boiler fan, but fans like you make us look like clowns because all you worry about is IU. Meanwhile, Purdue just peaked without winning the title and won’t see that success again for decades.

Granted I'm a UK fan and mostly just pay attention to them, but this year's NIL flops are interesting for obvious reasons. It seems to me that the more successful programs are the ones who put together pieces and are actually coaching them, not depending on just out talent-ing everyone else like Cal did to success, but no longer is the case.

With that said, I am seeing a shift in college players. It appears many are all playing for a post college career. Good on them. However, I will stand by the fact a large majority of these players get free (or near free) educations with other intentions in mind. Seems like a kick to education and waste of money. If you want to play professional basketball…go for it! The transfers in college sports is a joke to watch. Sorry, just being honest.
